Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of problem solving of addition and subtraction operations in the form of aabar. The subjects of the study were 2 people, one male and one female each. Another criterion for the subjects was having high mathematical abilities. Polya's problem solving steps were used in this study. The results of this study are: (1) at the stage of understanding the problem, male and female students with high mathematical abilities can identify things that are known based on declarative sentences and those asked based on question sentences. In addition, the subjects can change verbal sentences into mathematical forms, (2) at the stage of planning the problem, the subjects are able to make connections between known information and the problems asked, (3) at the stage of implementing the problem solving plan, the subjects determine the results of the problems given in the questions by making connections between known information and then for example into algebraic form, after that carry out addition and subtraction operations in algebraic form to get the results of the problems given, (4) at the stage of re-checking, recalculating to be sure of the answer and re-checking each step that has been done.

Abstract

This study aims to metacognition of students SMA Karuna Dipa Palu with high, medium and low mathematical abilities in solving problems of arithmetic sequences and series in terms of mathematical abilities. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in class XI IPA at SMA Karuna Dipa Palu in the 2023/2024 academic year with one student each with high, medium and low mathematics abilities. Data collection techniques use written assignments and interviews. This research uses two instruments, namely the main instrument, namely the researcher himself, and supporting instruments, namely written assignment sheets and interview guidelines. Data analysis is carried out through data condensation, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: (1) The metacognition of students with high mathematical abilities in solving problems by Polya fulfills all indicators of understanding the problem well even without writing down what is known and asked, planning problem solving, implementing the problem solving plan, and checking the results of problem solving again with Good; (2) the metacognition of students with moderate mathematical abilities in solving problems by Polya meets the indicators very satisfactorily, written in detail; (3) the metacognition of students with low mathematical abilities in solving problems by Polya is not good enough in all indicators of understanding the problem, planning problem solving, carrying out problem solving, and checking the results of problem solving.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of cooperative learning model type think pair share in improving student learning outcomes on reflection material in class XI OTKP 4 SMK Negeri 2 Palu. The research method used is class action research (PTK). This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. This research design refers to the research design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart's research design, namely (1) planning, (2) action implementation and observation and (3) reflection. Data analysis in this study used a qualitative approach. The data analysis used refers to Paizaluddin and Ermalinda (2013) who say that the analysis of data obtained in class action research is generally analyzed through qualitative descriptive. The data collection methods in this study include observation, interviews and field notes. The results showed that student learning outcomes could be improved by applying the cooperative learning model of think pair share (TPS) type in class XI OTKP 4 SMKN 2 PALU. This can be seen after applying the think pair share (TPS) learning model, in the first cycle the student learning outcomes that reached completeness were only 51.85%. Then in the second cycle the student learning outcomes that reached completeness were 76.67%. so it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model type think pair share (TPS) can improve student learning outcomes on reflection material in class XI OTKP 4 SMK Negeri 2 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of training programs for civil servants (ASN) on two key aspects: first, the implementation of their duties and responsibilities; and second, the improvement of organisational performance and service delivery to stakeholders. The research employed a quantitative method. Data were collected using a non-test technique in the form of a questionnaire. Accordingly, the research instrument was a questionnaire consisting of a list of statements with five alternative answers on a Likert scale. The population consisted of all civil servants from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Maluku and North Maluku Provinces, while the sample comprised randomly selected civil servants from the same population who served as respondents. The collected data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics were used to present the distribution of respondents' data, while inferential statistics were employed in a One-Sample t-test with a 5% significance level. In this context, inferential statistics were used to generalise whether the MOOC Pintar training had a significant impact. The findings reveal that the MOOC Pintar training has a significant impact on civil servants of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Maluku and North Maluku Provinces. These results underscore the importance of sustaining the MOOC Pintar training continuously, given its significant contribution to improving civil servants' task implementation, positional responsibilities, organisational performance, and stakeholder service. Although this research is limited to the perceptions of civil servants in the two provinces and the impact measured was confined to their self-perceptions, without incorporating supervisors' assessments, the findings nonetheless provide valuable recommendations for future studies in other regions. Further research, including supervisor evaluations, is suggested to broaden the scope of data regarding the impact of MOOC Pintar on civil servants of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
