Abstract

Instagram is a social media that is very popular with teenagers. Through its features, adolescents can show themselves (self-­disclosure), including in presenting a hedonic lifestyle. The purpose of this study was to determine, describe and analyze self-­‐‑disclosure about the hedonistic lifestyle of SMA Negeri 1 Samarinda adolescents on social media Instagram. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The research focus refers to the dimension of self-­disclosure based on aspects of the hedonic lifestyle. The results showed that the adolescents of SMA Negeri 1 Samarinda were active in self-disclosure about their activities spending time outside the home. This study also analyzes the negative impact of self-­disclosure about a hedonic lifestyle, namely the existence of bad assessments of adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Samarinda from other Instagram users. While the positive impact is the number of new friendships that have been established. There is no motivation and goals that underlie the teenagers of SMA Negeri 1 Samarinda to open themselves about the hedonistic lifestyle.

Abstract

Negara Indonesia terletak diantara Benua Asia dan Benua Australia, serta Samudera Hindia dan Samudera Pasifik, dipicu kondisi hidrologis dengan iklim tropis membuat Indonesia berpotensi mengalami bencana alam. Pada umumnya, bencana disebabkan oleh alam (natural disaster) dan manusia (man-made disaster). Peristiwa banjir di Kota Samarinda pernah menjadi  pemberitaan skala nasional dan trending topic di media sosial twitter dengan #SamarindaCalap selama seminggu. Menteri Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi, Muhammad Nasir akan mewajibkan kampus (perguruan tinggi) untuk melakukan pelatihan mitigasi bencana. Dalam usaha manusia memahami bencana yang terjadi, termasuk ke dalam konsep komunikasi lingkungan.Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan informasi dan edukasi mitigasi bencana tentang jenis-jenis bencana serta penanggulangannya. Sedangkan Sasaran pengabdian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Ilmu Komunikasi, dimana mereka akan menjadi agen perubahan. Di tahun mendatang pengabdian ini dapat dilanjutkan dengan langsung ke lapangan (masyarakat), dan disini mahasiswa sebagai agen mitigasi bencana.

Abstract

Trend wirausaha kini sudah menyentuh beragam kalangan, salah satunya adalah kalangan remaja. Pengabdian ini menyasar pada siswa-siswi SMK yang berusaha menanamkan soft skill dalam bidang kewirausahaan dengan memiliki beragam produk siap jual. Namun, ketika branding tidak mampu dikonsep dengan baik maka akan berdampak bagi pendapatan penjualan serta kesinambungan dari bisnis yang dijalankan. Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi dari pendidikan vokasional merupakan Sekolah Menengah yang memuat di dalamnya pendidikan berdasarkan pada skill dan keterampilan siswa-siswinya. Kegiatan PKM ini dimulai dari pra survey tim PKM ke pihak sekolah, implementasi kegiatan sosisalisasi dan workshop, nilai tambah produk hingga evaluasi produk wirausaha.

Abstract

Abstract Keywords Logo Without A Name, Rebranding, Starbucks Coffee. Starbucks coffee as the leader of the world??s coffee drinks showed their strength of the company. The branding is a way that used to change the image of the exclusive coffee shop. Eliminate the identity of the words ??Starbucks Coffee? on the Starbucks logo makes a play on the company??s trademark Nikes that equally uses the logo without the name. Rebranding of the Logo was actually focus on the expansion that they served some products such as tea, breads and other products. The controversial issue that Starbucks changed the logo got a lot of guff from their loyal consumers, but they believe that is the right deci- sion to provide the best services to the consumers. Presents the new innova- tions are step to expand their market segmentation. In this paper, the author reviewed on the effectiveness of the chronological change of the Starbucks logo as the logo without a name. Abstrak Starbucks coffee sebagai leader minuman kopi dunia menunjukan keseriusannya untuk mengembangkan sayap perusahaanya. Melakukan rebranding adalah cara yang digunakan starbucks untuk merubah image dulu yang terkenal dengan kopi ??ekslusifnya?? kini menjadi perusahaan yang tidak hanya menjual kopi belaka. Menghilangkan identitas tulisan ??Starbucks Coffee? pada logo membuat Starbucks bermain layaknya merek dagang pada perusahaan sepatu Nike yang sama-sama menggunakan logo tanpa nama. Di balik rebranding logo tanpa nama tersebut sebenarnya fokus Starbucks adalah untuk melakukan ekspansi dengan produk dagangnya seperti menjual teh aneka roti dan produk lainnya. Kontrovensi perubahan logo Starbucks sempat mendapatkan banyak protes dari konsumen setia mereka, namun di balik itu semua pihak Starbucks yakin ini adalah keputusan tepat yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pelayanan terbaik kepada konsumen mereka. Menghadirkan inovasi-inovasi terbaru bagi Starbucks adalah langkah baru untuk semakin memperluas segmentasi pasar mereka. Dalam paper ini, penulis akan mengulas tentang efektivitas kronologis perubahan logo Starbucks sebagai Logo Tanpa Nama. Kata kunci: Logo Tanpa Nama, Rebranding, Starbucks Coffee.

Abstract

Issues about the environment often become the spotlight of the world, ranging from technological developments to a million environmental problems that never end. Now environmental issues are touched by the rapid development of digital technology. This makes a big change for the world of the environment. Ranging from digital conversations to top level or government decision-making to making environmental policies, all references are taken from community activities and participation that often voice their opinions on social media. Communication technology in the context of the environment that is most widely seen is the phenomenon of online petitions or known as "change.id". a site that offers space to discuss anything including environmental issues. The power of online petitions that move quickly by collecting votes through online signatures is able to stop the government's steps to dismantle Sophie's ship in Aceh. The reason is to save ecosystems such as long-developed coral reefs around the sophie ship that sank many years ago. E-participation as a form of digital democracy. Where the public is not obliged to appear physically in front of the government, through interactivity built in online media makes every active person involved without being limited by distance, space and time. Of course, with the concept of e-participation it is hoped that environmental issues can be controlled not only by the government but by the public. Because one indicator of the development of a country's progress is one of which is seen from the level of people's participation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT                  Tropical rainforest is Indonesia's natural potential to be saved. The condition of forests in Indonesia, especially in the town of Bontang, East Kalimantan is of concern. The amount of forest destruction caused by human behavior such as forest fires, illegal logging which will impact on environmental damage and can disrupt human activities. This is a threat to the existence of rain forest rainforest such as loss of function of forest itself. The purpose of this study is to find out what kind of education programs provided by the government to the surrounding community in maintaining the rainforest. Bontang city government focus on providing understanding to the public about the importance of maintaining the existence of tropical rain forests in the city of Bontang. This research uses qualitative approach with interview method and focus group discussion (FGD). Government efforts in pursuing activities to educate many experienced obstacles. Counseling is more focused on how to bring benefits to the community in managing the forest but still maintain the forest resources. Such as rubber planting because rubber can increase people's income. this activity is expected to be effective in involving the community to help the government maintain the tropical rain forest in Bontang city.Keywords:  Tropical Rain Forest, Education, Society.

Abstract

Informasi di era digital menjadi kebutuhan primer bagi masyarakat. Ruang digital memberikan ruang bagi lalu lintas informasi yang tinggi, sehingga rentan dengan keberadaan informasi yang tak jelas sumbernya cenderung provokatif misalnya hoax. Kegiatan literasi diperlukan untuk berjalan seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi. Terutama di Kalimantan Timur kondisi kegiatan literasi masih minim dilakukan sehingga tidak diiringin dengan kemampuan literasi public.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan pengambilan informan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dengan jumlah enam informan mahasiswa dari tiga kampus berbeda.Hasil penelitian menggunakan dua konsep literasi yaitu critical understanding dan community abilities. Critical understanding yang ditemukan adalah mayoritas informan sudah memiliki kemampuan berfikir keritis saat menerima informasi yang mencurigai. Caranya adalah dengan melakukan pembanding dengan sumber berita lainya. Sedangkan communities abilities yang ditemukan adalah mayoritas informan aktif mendiskusikan, mengedukasi lingkungan terdekat mereka tentang cara mengidentifikasi hoax.

delivery of leader’s message to his followers requires a profer communication pattern so that the message submitted will be received well by his followers with good effects. the research method used is a qualitative description research method. the focus of the research of this thesis is on leadership patterns of leadership communication chairman of mulawarman university sketsa for 2017/2018 period in increasing members work motivation consist of formal and informal communication patterns in supported by harold lasswell theori. teh result of the research that the chairman of unmul sketsa conduct a formal pattern of communications by conducting general meetings or field necessary, making directions to members, and submitting the result of working better with supplied result. polite before meeting bearucrats, communicating with other organizations or agencies at the event while informal communication patterns are initially reraly used in the process of communication in this organization, especially in the informal communication pattern of the chairman of the sketsa, but the general chairman is aware of the communication process with more care, attention and empowering all members.

Abstract

Analyze the use of information technology in improving the public service of PT Pos Indonesia in the border area of Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research focuses include transparency, participation, and efficiency. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the use of information technology in improving the public service of PT Pos Indonesia in the border area of Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan, is carried out in three main steps, namely transparency, participation and efficiency. The transparency process carried out by PT Pos Indonesia in the border area of Nunukan Regency to improve public services is by making Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), creating information about how to use the application, and highlighting three main characteristics in services, namely easy access, authentic evidence. , and the principle of honesty. The participatory process carried out by PT Pos Indonesia in the border area of Nunukan Regency to improve public services is to create a complaint service and provide responses to any input provided. The efficiency process carried out by PT Pos Indonesia in the border area of Nunukan Regency is carried out in several steps, namely by updating the application and secondly by minimizing errors in the service process. This process has been able to improve public services, because it can be proven by the number of Pospay application users up to 79 partners and Pos Remittance totaling 15 partners with details of 7 money order partners and 8 money order partners.
