Abstract

Benih yang unggul dan bermutu diperlukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman cabai rawit. Salah satu indikator mutu benih adalah viabilitas dan vigor yang tinggi. Ekstrak bawang merah dan air kelapa muda dapat digunakan untuk meningktakan mutu fisiologis benih. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu memperoleh benih cabai rawit yang memiliki mutu fisiologis tinggi pada setiap konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah dan air kelapa muda yang sesuai untuk peningkatan mutu fisiologis benih cabai rawit, memperoleh benih cabai rawit yang memiliki mutu fisiologis tinggi, memperoleh konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah dan air kelapa muda yang sesuai untuk peningkatan mutu fisiologis benih cabai rawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi Benih, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako. Waktu penelitian dimulai dari Bulan Januari sampai Maret 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan benih cabai rawit kadaluarsa dan benih hasil petani bermutu rendah. Faktor pertama yaitu benih cabai rawit. Faktor kedua adalah pengaruh pemberian 25% dan 30 % ekstrak bawang merah serta 25% dan 30 % air kelapa muda. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Analisis of Varian (ANOVA) dengan uji F (Fisher Test) pada kepercayaan 95%, apabila perlakuan memberikan pengaruh yang nyata, dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara benih cabai rawit dan konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah dan air kelapa muda tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu fisiologis benih, peningkatan mutu fisiologis benih kadaluarsa memberikan hasil yang terbaik yaitu dengan nilai daya berkecambah 91%, kecepatan berkecambah 28,30%, serta potensi tumbuh maksimum 94%, peningkatan mutu fisiologis menggunakan air kelapa muda 30% memberikan hasil terbaik pada proses perkecambahan benih yaitu memiliki daya berkecambah 94% dan potensi tumbuh maksimum 96,67% sedangkan ekstrak bawang merah 30% memberikan hasil yang terbaik pada fase pertumbuhan yaitu panjang hipokotil 5,28 cm dan tinggi tanaman 7,13 cm.

Abstract

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) is a resilient cereal crop with high potential as a source of food, feed, and bioenergy. This study investigates the effect of applying rice husk biochar and liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from cow urine on the sugar and fiber content of sorghum seeds. The experiment was conducted in two phases: field trials using a randomized block design with nine treatment combinations (3 biochar doses × 3 POC doses) and laboratory analysis of sugar and fiber contents. Results show that the application of 4 t/ha biochar and 750 ml/L cow urine POC produced the highest yield in terms of seed weight per plot (0.36 t/ha) and total production. However, the highest sugar content (63.32%) was obtained in the control biochar treatment with 250 ml/L POC, suggesting that lower POC doses are more effective in enhancing sugar concentration. Fiber content showed no statistically significant differences among treatments, although a tendency for increased fiber was observed at moderate POC doses. These findings highlight the potential of using rice husk biochar and cow urine POC to improve sorghum productivity and nutritional quality while supporting sustainable and organic agricultural practices.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk di Indonesia yang terus meningkat, menimbulkan kebutuhan beras sebagai makanan pokok semakin tinggi, salah satu upaya meningkatkan produksi padi adalah dengan menggunakan sitem ratun.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh karakter agronomi beberapa galur padi gogo lokal hasil ratun yang memiliki hasil dan produksi tertinggi. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di lahan pertanian di Desa Kaduwaa (Dataran Tinggi Napu) pada ketinggian tempat 900 - 1200 mdpl, dengan letak geografis 01o 27’45” LS dan 120o 22’32” BT, Kecamatan Lore Utara, Kabupaten Poso. Waktu penelitian dimulai dari bulan Juli sampai April 2025. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Penelitian ini menggunakan 6 galur padi gogo lokal yaitu G1= Kalendeng, G2=Kalendeng Hitam Putih, G3= Tako, G4=Tako Panjang, G5=Puyutas, G6= Dongan yang diulang sebanyak empat kali sehingga diperoleh 24 petak percobaan. Parameter yang digunakan meliputi: Tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, jumlah anakan produktif, umur keluar malai, umur panen, panjang malai, jumlah gabah per malai, jumlah gabah hampa, berat 1000 gabah, panjang gabah, ketebalan gabah, lebar gabah, produksi ton per hektar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa galur tako, kalendeng, dan puyutas merupakan galur dengan karakter agronomi terbaik dan galur dengan penurunan produksi paling rendah.

Abstract

The Indonesian archipelago boasts a rich biodiversity, particularly a vast collection of local upland rice germplasm, many of which remain unidentified. The study aimed to expand the collection of local rice germplasm by considering the genetic variability coefficient and heritability values and identifying cultivars with the potential to become superior local varieties. The research was conducted in Tamarenja Village from April to October 2024. The study used a single - factor randomized block design with eight cultivars as treatments, including Pae Bohe, Kalendeng, Delima, Pulu Tau Leru, Dongan, Wangga, Logi, Tako, Buncaili, Uva, Uva Buya, and Jahara. The collected data were analyzed using variance analysis, genetic variability coefficient analysis, heritability, and agronomic trait analysis using the LSD test at a 1% significance level. The results showed high genetic diversity, with genetic coefficient of variation (GCV) values between 24.56% and 53.49%. Estimates of heritability were also high, with most characteristics having more than 80% heritability. Grain yield (97.93%), number of grains per panicle (95.87%), and 1000-grain weight (97.49%) were all strongly controlled by genetics. Delima exhibited the longest panicle at 38.55 cm, containing 260 grains per panicle. The results identify Jahara, Kalendeng, Dongan, Logi, and Uva Buya as exceptional cultivars with considerable potential for upland rice breeding.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan teknis, dan kemandirian masyarakat Desa Sekotong Barat dalam pengolahan air limbah melalui penerapan teknologi Membran Bioreaktor (MBR). Permasalahan utama mitra adalah pencemaran air akibat aktivitas penambangan emas tradisional, rendahnya kapasitas teknis masyarakat dalam pengolahan limbah, serta belum adanya model pengelolaan air olahan berbasis BUMDes. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Technology Transfer melalui workshop, pelatihan, praktik langsung, pendampingan intensif, dan evaluasi partisipatif. Mitra kegiatan meliputi PKK Desa Sekotong Barat, BUMDes Gita Nada, pemerintah desa, Karang Taruna, mahasiswa KKN-PMM, dan masyarakat terdampak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan teknis peserta. Sebelum kegiatan, sebagian besar peserta belum mengenal teknologi MBR, sedangkan setelah kegiatan seluruh peserta memahami konsep dan fungsi MBR, serta sebagian besar mampu mencoba atau mengoperasikan alat secara mandiri. Rata-rata skor kompetensi peserta meningkat dari 57,35 pada pre-test menjadi 85,45 pada post-test dan menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik berdasarkan uji paired sample t-test yang dilaporkan pada bagian metode dan hasil. Pada aspek kualitas air, 15 dari 20 peserta mampu menghasilkan air olahan awal yang tampak lebih jernih berdasarkan indikator visual awal, yaitu warna, bau, kejernihan, dan berkurangnya partikel tersuspensi. Namun, evaluasi kualitas air pada kegiatan ini belum mengacu pada standar baku mutu air bersih karena belum dilakukan uji laboratorium terhadap parameter pH, TDS, kekeruhan, BOD/COD, merkuri/logam berat, dan mikrobiologi. Oleh karena itu, hasil air olahan belum dapat dinyatakan layak atau aman digunakan masyarakat sebelum pengujian lanjutan dilakukan. BUMDes menunjukkan kesiapan awal untuk mendukung keberlanjutan program, tetapi masih memerlukan penguatan SOP, operator, biaya operasional, mekanisme distribusi, dan legalitas. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi MBR, pelatihan partisipatif, pendampingan mahasiswa, dan penguatan kelembagaan desa berpotensi menjadi model awal pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis teknologi tepat guna. Community Empowerment in Sekotong Barat through Membrane Bioreactor Technology for Wastewater Treatment into Clean Water Abstract This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge, technical skills, and self-reliance of the Sekotong Barat Village community in wastewater treatment through the application of Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology. The main problems faced by the community partners were water pollution caused by traditional gold mining activities, limited technical capacity in wastewater treatment, and the absence of a village-owned enterprise-based model for treated water management. The program employed a Participatory Technology Transfer approach through workshops, training, hands-on practice, intensive mentoring, and participatory evaluation. The partners involved included the PKK group of Sekotong Barat Village, BUMDes Gita Nada, the village government, youth organizations, KKN-PMM students, and affected community members. The results indicated that the training and mentoring improved participants’ knowledge and technical skills. Before the program, most participants were unfamiliar with MBR technology, whereas after the program all participants understood the concept and function of MBR, and most were able to try or operate the equipment independently. The average competency score increased from 57.35 in the pre-test to 85.45 in the post-test and showed a statistically meaningful difference based on the paired sample t-test reported in the methods and results sections. Regarding water quality, 15 out of 20 participants were able to produce preliminary treated water that appeared visually clearer based on the initial visual indicators, namely color, odor, clarity, and reduced suspended particles. However, the water quality evaluation in this program did not yet refer to clean water quality standards because laboratory testing of pH, TDS, turbidity, BOD/COD, mercury/heavy metals, and microbiological parameters had not been conducted. Therefore, the treated water cannot yet be declared suitable or safe for community use before further testing is performed. BUMDes demonstrated initial readiness to support program sustainability, but further strengthening is required in terms of SOPs, operators, operational costs, distribution mechanisms, and legality. This program indicates that the integration of MBR technology, participatory training, student mentoring, and village institutional strengthening has the potential to serve as an initial model of community empowerment based on appropriate technology.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling serve as a fundamental component of the educational process at the elementary school level, playing a crucial role in supporting students’ holistic development. This study aims to outline the general implementation patterns of guidance and counseling services in elementary schools and to analyze their contribution to students’ personal, social, academic, and career growth. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a literature review method. Data were gathered through an examination of relevant scientific journals, reference books, and educational regulations, with particular attention to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 111 of 2014. The findings indicate that the general pattern of guidance and counseling in elementary schools consists of four main service areas implemented in an integrated and continuous manner. These services contribute to helping students manage emotions, develop social skills, enhance learning motivation and academic achievement, and recognize interests and potentials from an early age. Therefore, optimizing the implementation of guidance and counseling services in elementary schools is essential to support the achievement of holistic educational goals.
