Abstract

Various forms of environmental education in schools, namely, environmentally cultured schools, green schools, and healthy schools. The term adopted by the government is Adiwiyata. SDN 211/IV Jambi is located not far from the city center and has a beautiful environment, this school has a fairly conducive land to support the Adiwiyata program and has teachers who love and care about the environment. The purpose of this dedication is so that future Adiwiyata activities will be realized and be successful and sustainable. This service activity is supported by the principal and teachers. With this service activity, it is hoped that students as future leaders will be equipped and able to implement environmentally sound development and not only pursue economic and social benefits. Based on the results of community service activities carried out, it was found that there were no specific policies regarding the environment that could be applied in schools. In addition, the environmental curriculum is still integrated with several subjects and has not involved other parties in environmental conservation activities. There is an increase in knowledge after education about adiwiyata, especially environmental care and waste management in schools. It is hoped that schools will be able to maintain existing educational facilities and improve them and begin to develop adiwiyata school policies and cooperate with the Environment Agency so that these activities can be successful. Keywords: Adiwiyata, Caring for the environment, Waste management

Abstract

Hazardous and toxic materials (B3) are substances, energy, and/or other components which due to their nature, concentration and/or amount, either directly or indirectly, can pollute and/or damage the environment, and/or endanger the environment. health, and the survival of humans and other living things. Hazardous waste affects health by harming humans directly (due to explosions, fires, reactive, corrosive) or indirectly (acute toxic and krosis). The capacity for handling waste, especially B3 waste, carried out by the community and local governments is not yet optimal. Waste that is not managed properly will affect the environment and the health of the surrounding community. Based on the results of the study, the average B3 waste generation in Gayungan District was 2.33 g/person.day with a total B3 waste generation in Gayungan District of 85 kg/day, the types of B3 waste consisted of flammable, toxic and corrosive. Efforts that can be made to increase public knowledge about household B3 waste is to disseminate information on the introduction and control of household waste and how to manage household B3 waste independently. Based on the results of the community service activities carried out, it was found that there was an increase in community knowledge by 50% from the previous one based on the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted. Each of the question items that were asked to the community experienced an increase in each, when the activities were carried out the community was also very enthusiastic and eager to follow it, because previously this B3 waste socialization activity had never been carried out. Keywords: B3 Waste, B3 Waste Management

This study used a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional research design. Data was collected in October-November 2021. The study population was 2,245 children aged 10-18 years with a research sample of 88 children. The sample was taken using Non Probability Sampling technique (Purposive sampling). This study consists of independent variables "Physical Activity and Sleep Patterns" and the dependent variable "Obesity". Data analysis using Chi-Square test. There is a relationship between physical activity and obesity in children (PR = 2.48 95% CI = 1.53-4.01 p-value = 0.00) and there is a relationship between sleep patterns and obesity in children. namely (PR = 1.92 95% CI = 1.16-3.16 p-value = 0.01). Abstract

Food sanitation hygiene is an effort to control the risk factors for contamination of food, both originating from food ingredients, people, places and equipment so that it is safe for consumption. Based on the East Tanjung Jabung Health profile, in the Simpang Padan Health Center work area it is known that there are still many Food Processing Places that do not meet the requirements, namely as much as 85.4%. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted on Home Industry Food (PIRT) in Geragai District. The research population was all PIRT food handlers. The research sample is 51 people, with total sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that knowledge (p = 0.008), attitude (p = 0.033) have a relationship with food handler hygiene behavior. While the level of education (p = 1.000) and food safety counseling (p = 0.934) had no relationship with food handler hygiene behavior. Knowledge, attitude and level of education are factors that greatly influence the hygiene behavior of food handlers. It is hoped that food handlers can increase their knowledge and attitudes by participating in counseling or training organized by related agencies.

Abstract

Epidemiologically, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) has symptoms such as pain, numbness or loss of sensation in the hands and tingling or feeling of needle puncture on the wrist. Sorting workers are workers who are at risk of developing complaints of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between factors related to complaints of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) in sorting workers at the Talang Gulo Landfill, Jambi City in 2022. This study used cross-sectional design quantifiable research. The population is all sorting workers in the sorting area of the Talang Gulo landfill in Jambi City totaling 34 people. The sample of this study was 29 respondents. . The analysis test used is the chi-square test. The results showed that respondents who experienced CTS complaints were 55.2%. The bivariate test results had a relationship between PR 7.89 age (95%CI 1.21-51.4), PR 3.05 repetitive movement relationship (95%CI 1.10-8.43), and there was a PR 2.43 working posture relationship (95%CI 1.02-5.77) with CTS complaints in sorting workers. There was no relationship in nutritional status of PR 0.74 (95%CI 0.35-1.56). The variable length of work cannot be carried out the analysis test because the results of the univariate analysis test are homogeneous.

The sampling technique used simple random sampling. Data collection was done from March-June 2020. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate chi-square. The results of this study showed that 63% of respondents did not make regular neonatal visits. Age (PR = 0.91; 95% CI = 0.66-1.24) education (PR = 1.30; 95% CI = 0.94-1.75) occupation (PR = 1.11; 95% CI = 0.82-1.51) attitude (PR = 1.43; 95% CI = 1.05-1.93) knowledge (PR = 1.41 95% CI = 0.90-2.20 ) husband's support (PR = 1.95; 95% CI = (1.14-3.33) and distance to health care (PR = 0.92: 95% CI = 0.62-1.37). husband's support had the highest risk of not having regular neonatal visits. There was a significant relationship between a neonatal visit with attitude and the husband's support in Rawasari Primary Health Care Jambi city. Abstract

Unused citronella solid waste can disturb the view and has the potential to pollute the environment, a solution that can be done is to process citronella solid waste into compost. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of composting citronella solid waste using EM4 and local micro-organisms (stale rice and citronella). This type of experimental research and research design is a one- shot case study. By using EM4, moles of stale rice, moles of citronella and carried out 3 repetitions and obtained 9 samples. Collecting data by observing, measuring and laboratory tests. Data analysis was performed using the Kruskal Wallis test. As for the results of data analysis, namely the p value on NPK is > 0.05, then the NPK in citronella solid waste compost using EM4, MOL of stale rice and MOL of citronella there is no significant difference. Laboratory results on citronella solid waste compost with EM4, MOL of stale rice and MOL of citronella produce Nitrogen and C/N values that do not meet the requirements of SNI 19-7030-2004. Composting citronella solid waste using EM4 and Local Micro-Organisms (stale rice and citronella) is not effective because at the end of composting it produces a low Nitrogen value and a high C/N rasio
