Abstract

Jambi City 40.5% of diseases are caused by work activities and musculoskeletal complaints, including the 10 largest diseases. Low back pain is a muscelusceletal complaint that is often suffered. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between work posture and individual factors with complaints of low back pain in brick-making workers in the South Jambi District. This type of research was an observasional research with a cross sectional design. The population of this study were all workers in the small brick-making industry in South Jambi District, Jambi City. The number of samples was 66 workers who were taken by proportional random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed with the chi-square test. Workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 7 must implement changes as quickly as possible as many as 10 workers (15.2%), workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 5-6 must carry out investigations and immediate improvements as many as 17 workers (25.8) , Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 3-4 may need a change of 21 workers (31.8%), Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 1-2 good work postures and can be accepted as many as 18 workers (27.3% ). Workers as many as 50 workers (75.8%) and 17 people (25 , 8%) have an abnormal BMI and are at risk. The factors associated with pain relief under work posture obtained p-value: 0.054 (˃0.05) with a PR value: 1.768 (95% CI: 0.961-3.253), age obtained p- value: 0.014 (< 0, 05) with PR value: 2,240 (95% CI: 1,059-4,738) and BMI obtained p-value: 0,322 (˃0,05) with PR value: 1,237 (95% CI: 0835-1,826). There were relationship between work posture and complaints of low back pain in workers, but there is no close relationship between BMI and complaints of low back pain in brick-making workers in The South Jambi District.

Abstract

Hypertension in pregnant women is a factor in the occurrence of illness and death in the mothers or fetus. The causes of hypertension during pregnancy are influenced by various factors including maternal age, family history of hypertension, obesity, physical activity and parity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with hypertension in pregnant women at Sukarejo Public Health Center, Tanjung Jabung Barat District. The design of the research was Cross Sectional. The population was all pregnant women in Sukarejo Village, Tanjab Barat Regency with a sample of 71 pregnant women (total sampling). The independent variables are maternal age, maternal occupation, parity, family history of hypertension, food consumption patterns and physical activity. Data collection was carried out by interview using questionnaires and measurements. The data obtained were analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test. The proportion of hypertension in pregnant women is 54.9%. The proportion of mothers who had a family history of hypertension among pregnant women with hypertension was 86.2%, the proportion of poor food consumption patterns among pregnant women with hypertension was 69.7% and the proportion of active mothers in pregnant women with hypertension was 87.5%. Statistical analysis showed a relationship between family history of hypertension (p = 0.000, PR = 2.58), diet (p = 0.036, PR = 1.65) and physical activity (p = 0.000, PR = 0.43) with hypertension in pregnant women. The dominant cause of hypertension in pregnant women is a family history of hypertension. Pregnant women need to always check blood pressure and pregnancy checks so that they can detect early signs of hypertension.

Abstract

Disease (acute respiratory infection) Ari is one type of Environmental-based infectious diseases. In Indonesia, cases of Ari always ranks first cause of infant mortality and the prevalence of Ari disease in Jambi province amounted to 3.2% and in Tanjung Jabung Timur amounted to 4.44%. ISPA in East Tanjung Jabung regency is a disease trend every year. In general, the risk factors for ARI are physical environmental factors, host/host factors, agent factors and social environmental factors. The type of research used is quantitative research with cross sectional design. This study aims to find the relationship between the variable occupancy density, floor type, wall type, ceiling of the house, lighting, smoking family members, maternal knowledge with the incidence of ARI in toddlers. The population in this study were toddlers in the Working Area of the Simpang Pandan Health Center and the sample of this study was 103. Sampling technique in this study using Stratified Random Sampling technique. How data collection is done by interviews, observations, and measurements using tools. The results showed that there is a relationship between : occupancy density (P - value=0.003 and PR = 1.976), floor type (p= 0.014 and PR = 1.874), wall type (p=0.020 and PR = 1.852) lighting (p=0.018 and PR = 1.790), smoking family members (p= 0.020 and PR = 1.852 ) and maternal knowledge (P-value=0.035 and PR = 1.678) with acute respiratory infections in toddlers. While the variables that are not related to the incidence of ARI in this study is the variable ceiling of the House (p-value = 0.968 and PR = 1.080). It is recommended that family members do not smoke in the house, pay attention to the residential density of the House, home lighting, and the type of floor in the House.

Abstract

The increase in the incidence of COVID-19 has caused quite a bad impact on the whole world in various complex fields. The incidence of COVID-19 cases is high and the case fatality rate (CFR) is high in the world, nationally and in Jambi province and the incidence of COVID-19 cases is high even in Puskemas Paal V also has a fairly high CFR rate. The purpose of this study was to determine risk factors based on the application of health protocols for the occurrence of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the working area of the Paal V Health Center in Jambi city in 2021. This type of research is analytical and uses a case control study design with a large sample in this study as many as 82 respondents with a ratio of 1:1 so that 41 respondents for the case Group and 41 respondents for the control group using simple random sampling from COVID-19 case data in January-February. It was found that respondents who sometimes avoid crowds (OR: 6.86 95% CI 0.79-59.76) and reduce mobility (OR: 8.24 0.96-70.31) are at high risk of Covid-19. It is necessary to try to keep implementing health protocols while outside the home, especially using masks and limiting official (domestic) travel, especially in groups aged 18-40 years.

Abstract

Masa balita merupakan periode kritis yang menentukan kualitas tumbuh kembang anak, sehingga pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi melalui MP-ASI yang tepat sangat penting. Pemanfaatan pangan lokal seperti pisang kepok dan kacang hijau dapat menjadi alternatif MP-ASI yang bergizi, terjangkau, dan mudah diolah oleh masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu balita serta kader posyandu melalui edukasi MP-ASI dan demonstrasi pembuatan kukis berbasis pisang kepok dan kacang hijau. Metode kegiatan meliputi ceramah, diskusi, pre-test dan post-test, serta praktik langsung pembuatan kukis. Sebanyak 30 peserta dari Desa Mekarsari mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 58,0% menjadi 89,0% setelah edukasi. Peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan mampu mengikuti tahapan pembuatan kukis, mulai dari persiapan bahan hingga pengovenan, serta memahami prinsip higienitas dalam pengolahan MP-ASI. Kukis yang dihasilkan diterima dengan baik oleh balita karena teksturnya lembut dan rasanya tidak terlalu manis. Kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat nyata berupa peningkatan pemahaman, keterampilan, dan minat peserta dalam mengolah MP-ASI berbahan lokal. Program diharapkan mendorong praktik pemberian MP-ASI yang lebih tepat dan bergizi serta mendukung upaya pencegahan stunting. Disarankan adanya pendampingan lanjutan, penguatan peran kader posyandu, diversifikasi resep lokal, serta uji keamanan lebih lanjut untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan kualitas produk MP-ASI berbasis pangan lokal

Abstract

Poor waste management can result in chemical exposure and health issues. With a %age of 42.63 %, Kerinci district is the district in Jambi province with the largest number of river trash disposals, while Penawar Village is the village with the highest number of river waste disposals. This study aims to investigate waste management training effectiveness on community behaviour in household waste to reduce the waste number into the river in Penawar village, Kerinci Regency. This research is a quasi-experimental study employing a pretest-posttest design group with a research sample of 46 houses and simple random sampling. The results showed that before the intervention, the majority of housewives' knowledge was lacking (34.8%), the majority attitude was negative (69.6%) and the majority action was poor (71.7%). After the implementation of the Household Waste Management Training, the majority of housewives' knowledge was good (89.1%), positive attitude (100%) and majority action was good (73.9%). Compared before intervention. The application of the training proved to be effective in increasing household waste management behavior with (p) < 0.05. Waste management training effectively enhances the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of housewives in managing home trash to lower the rate of garbage disposal into the river in Penawar Village, Kerinci Regency.

Abstract

Waste that cannot be recycled and processed properly will be very dangerous for human health and the environment. Based on data from the Environmental Service of Jambi City, garbage in Jambi City reached a total of 465,693,805 kg/day, and the largest waste generation data was in Alam Barajo District where the waste generated was 75,409,004 kg/day. This research is an observational study that uses a quantitative approach with a cross sectional method. The population of Alam Barajo sub-district is 30,786 families. The sampling technique is a disproportionate stratified random sampling technique. Bivariate analysis using thetest Chi-Square, the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, namely knowledge (p = 0.000), attitude (p = 0.122), support from community leaders (p = 0.607), support from health workers (p = 0.227) with waste management household. There is a relationship between knowledge and household waste management in Alam Barajo sub-district and there is no relationship between attitudes, support from community leaders, support from health workers and household waste management.

Abstract

Primary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain that is found without obvious abnormalities of the genital organs. Primary dysmenorrhea often occurs in adolescent girls aged 10-14 years (early adolescence). Primary dysmenorrhea refers to pain without obvious pathological pelvic disease or menstrual pain with normal pelvic anatomy, usually beginning in adolescence after their ovulatory cycle has established. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age of menarche, duration of menstruation and exercise habits in adolescent girls in Sitinjau Laut District. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional design. Data collection was carried out in March-April 2021. The research population was... Young Women with a research sample of 198 young women. Sampling was done by using proportional random sampling technique. This study consisted of the independent variable "age of menarche, duration of menstruation and exercise habits" and the dependent variable "primary dysmenorrhea". Data analysis using Chi-Square test. The incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls is 74.2%. Factors related to the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls were age at menarche (P=0.000; 1.870; 95% CI 1.371-2.552) and length of menstruation (P=0.001; 0.720; 95% CI 0.635-0.817). And there is no relationship between exercise habits (P=0.720; 1.184 95% CI 1.012-1.835). There is a relationship between the age of menarche with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea and the length of menstruation in adolescent girls in the District of Sitinjau Laut.

Abstract

      Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an acute viral-febrile disease, often characterized by headache, bone or joint pain and muscle, and rash as a symptom. In Indonesia in 2011 there were 65,432 cases with 595 deaths. East Java Province has determined outbreaks of DHF since 2015 in 37 districts / cities, with a total of 3,136 cases of dengue fever and 52 deaths. Pasuruan Regency is one of Kabupeten in East Java with the highest death rate from DHF compared to other regencies or cities, which is 28 people in 2020. There are many factors that can affect, pray the only environment and vector. The purpose of this research is to see the relationship of environmental factors and vector with the incidence of DBD in Pasuruan Regency. This research is an observational research with case control design. The sample in this research were 76 respondents consisting of 38 case groups and 38 control groups representing from 3 sub-districts in Pasuruan Regency (Gempol, Beji and Kraton Sub-district). Data analysis with Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between water pH in house (p = 0.005, OR = 5,343), indoor air temperature (p = 0.046, OR = 3,221), air humidity in house (p = 0.049, OR = 3,923) and presence of larvae (p = 0.037, OR = 3.032) with the incidence of DHF in Pasuruan Regency. The most influential factor in increasing the risk of DHF incidence in Pasuruan Regency is the pH of water, the temperature inside the house and the presence of larvae around the house. It needs cross-sector cooperation to pay attention to the condition of environmental sanitation so it will not be a good place for Ae mosquito development. aegypti. Providing counseling to people who focus on the source of the problem, and the community in order to prevent the occurrence of transmission of DHF by breaking the chain of transmission.

Abstract

Background:Puskesmas in the JKN/BPJS system have a major role in health services. If the puskesmas services provided are good, then JKN participants will use health services more at the puskesmas. Puskesmas Kumun is one of the puskesmas that has a wide working area and serves 9 villages. The number of BPJS participants in puskesmas has reached 61%, but the use of national health insurance shows a less percentage. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the use of national health insurance at the Kumun Health Center. Method: This type of research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional approach, with a sample of 100 samples. This research was conducted in the district of Kumun Debai. Sampling with accidental sampling technique. Data obtained by filling out questionnaires by respondents. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate (chi-square) tests. Result:Based on the statistical test in this study, it showed that the factors related to the utilization of the national health insurance were knowledge (p=0.019), education (p=0.000), occupation (p=0.013), income (0.011), and health facilities. And there is no relationship between attitude (p = 0.069), and trust (p = 0.054) with the use of the national health insurance. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the variables of knowledge, education, occupation, income, and health facilities with the use of national health insurance at the Kumun Community Health Center in Sungai Penuh City.
