Abstract

Temporary marriage is not only about surviving the trauma and crisis but also offers the potential to emerge from difficulties due to its ability to provide meaning from past events. This study aims to measure the level of meaning in the life of female victims of temporary marriage in Singkawang, Indonesia, by exploring their experiences as an optimization to generate positive effects on their lives. Employing a mixed-methods approach that integrates qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the research utilizes an inventory technique to investigate the meanings of life experienced by ten respondents. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with five women who had been impacted by temporary marriage in order to delve into their pursuit of a meaningful life, all of whom consented to the intervention. The findings indicate that women often find themselves as victims of temporary marriage at a middle economic level. The pursuit of a purpose in life emerged as a primary concern, surpassing other factors such as spirituality, self-acceptance, materialism, and problem-solving in the quest for life’s meaning. This situation is often hindered by psychological trauma stemming from challenges encountered within the context of temporary marriage. Through introspection and self-acceptance, individuals embarked on a journey of personal growth, gaining insights and heightened awareness that could serve as a form of intervention through social connection, prayer, close relationships, positive behaviors, experiences, and self-motivation. This research provides an understanding of the fact that difficulties or problems in life can have positive implications by motivating the desire to grow from the temporary marriage experience.

Abstract

This study evaluates the ability of mathematics lecturers in Indonesian universities to use TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge). It uses a Sequential Explanatory research method that integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches. The findings indicate that overall, the TPACK skills of mathematics lecturers in Indonesia are at a very good level (85,6%). The questionnaire data showed that the aspects of gender, length of teaching, and level of education had average scores of 85.2%, 85.5%, and 86.1%, respectively. Students' responses to lecturers' TPACK were also high, with an average questionnaire score of 85.1%. Further analysis showed no significant difference in the TPACK ability of mathematics lecturers based on gender, years of teaching, or level of education. However, partial analysis showed that female lecturers' CK and PK components were superior to male lecturers. This indicates a significant effect of gender partially on lecturers' TPACK. At the same time, the length of teaching and level of education does not have a significant impact either partially or jointly on the TPACK ability of mathematics lecturers in Indonesia. This study provides in-depth insights into the factors that influence the TPACK of mathematics lecturers, with important implications for professional development and improving the quality of learning in the Indonesian higher education context

Abstract

This classroom action research (CAR) investigates the efficacy of implementing the modified Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, synchronized with intrinsic religious values, aiming to enhance students’ essential conceptual mastery and complex problem-solving skills in the Logarithm subject matter. The study involved 24 students from the X-Grade Religious Specialization Class at MA Nurul Jadid. This intervention was urgently initiated due to a severe empirical gap, where the pre-cycle assessment revealed a 0% classical learning completeness rate, a failure primarily induced by conceptual misunderstandings, persistent procedural difficulties, and consequential operational carelessness. The PBL methodological solution was executed through a spiral-reflective approach across three distinct cycles, with specific actions focusing on authentic problem inquiry, deeply supported by the internalization of systematic thinking and responsibility attitudes derived from a religious perspective. Quantitative findings emphatically revealed a progressive and substantial increase in student achievement: 0% in the Pre-Cycle, steadily increasing to 25% in Cycle I, 46% in Cycle II, and ultimately reaching the optimal target of 83% in Cycle III. The most substantial leap (37%) was recorded in Cycle III, following interventions specifically targeting the affective domain, which successfully mitigated non-cognitive errors by instilling the moral responsibility for result verification. The definitive conclusion affirms that the Modified PBL Model based on Religious Context serves as a proven, highly effective, and comprehensive strategy to overcome Logarithm learning difficulties and holistically satisfy the mandated classical success criteria.

Abstract

Mathematics education has faced persistent challenges in student engagement, spatial reasoning, and real-world relevance. Among innovative approaches, math trails have emerged in the last decade to integrate contextual, spatial, and technology-enhanced learning experiences. This study presents a systematic review (2013–2025) examining how math trails contribute to contextual learning, enhance student engagement, and develop spatial reasoning skills. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 50 relevant peer-reviewed studies were identified via Boolean searches in major databases (Scopus, ERIC, SpringerLink, MDPI, etc.) and analyzed using thematic synthesis. Three major themes were identified. First, math trails situate mathematics in authentic contexts, linking mathematical ideas to real environments and encouraging students to model real-world situations. Second, math trails promote active, collaborative learning that increases student interest and participation. Third, math trails improve spatial reasoning through tasks involving navigation, measurement, and visual-spatial problem-solving in outdoor settings. The literature goes on to say that using mobile apps and tasks that are relevant to students' cultures can improve math trails when they are used with clear learning goals and reflection. Overall, the findings suggest that math trails are a multidimensional pedagogical approach that bridges theory and practice, yielding both cognitive and affective benefits. Future research should investigate long-term impacts, cross-context adaptations, and scalable models for broader classroom adoption.

Abstract

The implementation of Teaching Factory-based edupreneurship in Vocational High Schools (SMK) is an important strategy to prepare graduates who not only have technical competencies but also an entrepreneurial spirit. This study aims to describe the development of edupreneurship through the production unit of the Mechanical Engineering Department in the manufacture of step motors as an industry-based learning tool at SMK Muhammadiyah Kramat Tegal. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observations of production unit activities, interviews with productive teachers and students, and documentation studies. The data were analysed using an interactive analysis model that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with verification through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that the production unit functioned as contextual learning that integrated mechanical engineering competencies with entrepreneurial practices, ranging from production planning, manufacturing processes, quality control, to product marketing. This activity is able to improve students' technical skills, foster independence, responsibility, work discipline, and interest in entrepreneurship. Industry-based learning through production units provides learning experiences that are relevant to the needs of the world of work and industry.

Abstract

The implementation of the Project to Strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile and the Rahmatan lil’alamin Profile (P5-PPRA) in State Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri) faces persistent managerial challenges despite its strategic role in strengthening student character. This study examined how P5-PPRA has been strategically planned, implemented, and evaluated in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Gorontalo Province, with particular attention to supporting and inhibiting factors within an educational management framework. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with leaders, teachers, students, and stakeholders from the madrasah, supported by observations and document analysis. The validity was ensured by triangulation of sources, methods, and time. The findings demonstrated that P5-PPRA contributed positively to the awareness and enactment of Pancasila values by students and the Islamic principle of Rahmatan lil ‘alamin when embedded in institutional strategic management, curriculum integration, commitment to leadership and teacher facilitation. However, its effectiveness was constrained by limited human resources, inadequate infrastructure, resistance to organizational change, weak inter-institutional collaboration, and the absence of systematic evaluation mechanisms. The study offers a management-oriented paradigm for incorporating civic and religious values in Islamic secondary education by redefining character education as an organizational and managerial process as opposed to a strictly normative or pedagogical aim.
