Abstract

The purposes of this research to find out whether there is an influence on the problem based learning model (PBL) moodle based on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes students on the concept of environmental pollution. The subject of this research is X grade students of SMAN 1 Kawali.. To hone critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes by applying moodle-based PBL in the learning process. The results of the research that there is an effect of moodle-based PBL on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes on the concept of environmental pollution. Through this research it was revealed that moodle-based PBL was able to improve critical thingking skills and learning outcomes with an N-gain score in the control and experimental classes in the medium category.

Abstract

The development of technology and information in the world of education is very fast but its utilization is not optimal in the learning process. Therefore it is necessary to develop learning media by utilizing technological developments to assist the learning process such as practicum activities because the facilities for carrying out conventional practicums are not adequate, so that the existence of technology can facilitate these limitations. This research method is Research and Development which adapts the ADDIE development model, the research subjects are class XI students of SMAN 1 Taraju, Tasikmalaya Regency. This learning media is said to be very feasible based on due diligence according to media experts with a total percentage of 98%, material experts with a total percentage of 93.63%. This learning media in its application is able to improve critical thinking skills and problem solving 0.75 in the high category, namely with an average normalized N-gain index from pretest to posttest of 0.97 in the high category while the results of student responses to learning media with a total percentage of 94 % with very strong category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the development of Android-based Virtual Laboratory learning media can improve critical thinking skills and problem solving.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the mastery of scientific concepts and attitudes after implementing practical activities assisted by LKS based on science process skills (KPS) on environmental pollution material in grade VII SMP. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample used was taken purposively as many as 34 students, which were divided into experimental and control groups. The data collection technique used the LKS validation test, concept mastery test, scientific attitude questionnaire, and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and the average difference test. The conclusions of the study are: (1) the quality of the worksheets based on science process skills is good, this is evidenced by the results of validator validation showing valid without revision, based on the results of mastery of the concept having a value above KKM and based on student and teacher responses that the student and teacher worksheets are very good. (2) There is a significant average difference in concept mastery between the experimental class and the control class after the implementation of practical learning assisted by LKS based on science process skills with the class that helps practicum learning assisted by publisher LKS on Environmental Pollution Material in Class VII SMP Negeri 7 Cirebon City as evidenced by students being able to understand learning, students can apply it in real life and students can solve problems (2) The scientific attitude of students in the experimental class has also increased this is shown in every practicum students always have curiosity, are honest in writing the results of their observations, be objective, critical and open.

Abstract

The background of the research is that based on initial observations at school, it is known that a nature of science oriented module has never been developed due to time constraints due to the many administrative duties of teachers at school. In fact, one way to increase student literacy is based on the nature of science by developing appropriate and good teaching materials. One of the teaching materials developed is in the form of a module. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation and effectiveness of using nature of science oriented modules to increase student literacy. The research method uses a mixed method with an exploratory sequential design. The sample used was taken purposively as many as 60 students of class X Science at SMA Negeri 1 Ciwaru, with 30 students as the control class and 30 students as the experimental class. Data collection techniques include interviews, module validation sheet checklists, scientific literacy tests, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, mean difference test, and gain index. The results of this research concluded that: (1) The effectiveness of implementing the Nature of Science (NOS) oriented module to increase scientific literacy in environmental pollution material in class tall. (2) Students' scientific literacy skills in environmental pollution material increase through the implementation of the Nature of Science (NOS) oriented module to increase scientific literacy as evidenced by the significant difference in mastery of concepts in the experimental class and the control class with a probability value (p) of 0.000<0.05 , and the experimental class's normalized gain index of 0.35 (medium category) is higher than the control class with a gain index of 0.17 (low category).

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' creativity and critical thinking skills using a STEM approach in online project-based Biotechnology Practicums. A quasi-experimental design was used, with 50 students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected via tests, questionnaires, and observations. Results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group's critical thinking (p = 0.015) and creativity, particularly in flexibility and originality. The conclusions of the study are: (1) The results showed a significant average difference in critical thinking skills between experimental classes and control classes after the implementation of STEM approach based on the PjBL model with classes that did not use the STEM approach based on the PjBL model in biotechnology courses in tadris Biology Department Semester 6 IAIN student Sheikh Nurjati Cirebon as evidenced by a probability value (p) of 0.015 < 0.05. (2) Creativity of students in the experimental class of the highest indicators on flexibility and original, while the lowest indicators are on the smoothness indicator.Keywords: creativity; critical thinking skills; STEM; project-based practicum.

Abstract

Abstrak. Proses belajar mengajar melibatkan beberapa komponen yang saling berkaitan, antara lain sumber belajar, dosen, metode, media, mahasiswa, lingkungan dan evaluasi yang menjadi sebuah komponen untuk dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dituntut adanya kreatifitas dosen untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran, seperti penggunaan media pembelajaran. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Pretest-Postest Control Group Design, untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan keterampilan berpikir proses sains dan sikap ilmiah mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan perbandingan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Aspek yang diteliti adalah penerapan Media Interaktif Smart Apps Creator (SAC) dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) dan Sikap Ilmiah Mahasiswa pada materi Pencemaran Lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan di STKIP INVADA Cirebon dengan subjek penelitian kelas A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas B sebagai kelas kontrol. Peneliti menggunakan tes, observasi pelaksanaan praktikum, observasi kinerja, dan angket dalam pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. media pembelajaran interaktif SAC dapat berfungsi dalam meningkatkan KPS dan sikap ilmiah mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran di kelas.Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran, Interaktif Smart Apps Creator, Keterampilan Proses Sains, dan Sikap Ilmiah Mahasiswa.

Abstract

Farmers in Kananga Village still use chemical fertilizers, this has led to farmers' dependence on chemical fertilizers. Farmers can make their own organic fertilizer, but farmers introduce time for the composting process to the materials that will be used as organic fertilizer. Farmers need technology that can accelerate the process of composting organic matter, and farmers also need to know the effect of chemical fertilizers on reducing soil fertility. Therefore, there is a need for community service activities that train and assist farmers to use organic fertilizer switching, and introduce Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) technology in making fertilizer or EM4 in agriculture. EM4 is a technology for cultivating a mixture of microorganisms suitable for plant growth in agriculture. These microorganisms are bacteria that can be grown independently by the community, especially farmers in Kananga Village. This PkM activity is designed as an effort to reduce farmers' dependence on chemical fertilizers and invites farmers to use EM4 technology in making fertilizers. The results of this PkM also hope to make the community in Kananga Village more independent by being able to produce their own agricultural products in order to increase the competitiveness of the village. In addition, the PkM training and mentoring program is the commitment of the University of Kuningan in improving community empowerment. Abstrak Petani di Desa Kananga masih menggunkan pupuk kimia, hal ini menimbulkan kergantungan petani terhadap pupuk kimia. Petani dapat membuat pupuk organic sendiri, namun petani mengeluhkan lamanya waktu untuk proses pengomposan pada bahan bahan yang akan dijadikan pupuk organic. Petani perlu teknologi yang dapat mempercepat proses pengomposan bahan organic, dan petani juga perlu mengetahui dampak yang akan ditimbulkan dari pupuk kimia bisa merusak kesuburan tanah. Oleh karena itu kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang melatih dan mendampingi petani agar beralih menggunakan pupuk organic, serta mengenalkan teknologi Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) dalam membuat pupuk ataupun EM4 dalam pertanian. EM4 ini merupakan teknologi dalam mengkultur campuran dari mikroorganisme yang menguntungkan untuk pertumbuhan tanaman dalam usaha pertanian. Mikkroorganisme tersebut merupakan bakteri-bakteri yang dapat dibibit secara mandiri oleh masyarakat khusunya para petani di Desa Kananga. Kegiatan PkM ini merupakan upaya menghilangkan ketergantungan petani terhadap pupuk kimia serta mengajak petani untuk menggunakan teknologi EM4 dalam membuat pupuknya. Hasil PkM ini juga berharap dapat menjadikan masyarakat di Desa Kananga menjadi semakin mandiri dengan mampu menghasilkan produk pertanian sendiri guna meningkatkan daya saing Desa. Program PkM ini melatih dan mendampingi masyarakat merupakan Visi Universitas Kuningan kearah pemberdayaan masyarakat.

Abstract

This research was conducted to improve students' scientific literacy and learning motivation by maximizing the use of technology with local wisdom-based e-booklet development media as a support for learning activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility, effectiveness and measure student responses to local wisdom-based E-booklet learning media. The population in this study were all students of class V (Five) at KKMI 2 Kuningan. The sample consisted of 25 students in class VA as the experimental class and class VB consisting of 25 students as the control class. The research design used a research and development approach with a 4-D development model (define, design, development, dissemination) and data collection techniques using tests, interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed that 1) e-booklet media based on local wisdom was very feasible to be used as teaching material in learning by reaching a percentage of 83.8 from learning experts, material experts, linguists and media experts; 2) the effectiveness of e-booklets based on local wisdom with very effective categories as teaching materials; Based on these results it can be concluded; the local wisdom-based ebooklet media is very feasible and effective to use in science learning on water cycle materials and their impacts; Student responses showed a very positive attitude towards learning through ebooklet media based on local wisdom. Keyword : learning mdia, ebooklet, local wisdom, scientific literacy, learning motivation Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan Literasi Sains dan Motivasi Belajar siswa dengan memaksimalkan pemanfaatan teknologi dengan media pengembangan e-booklet berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai penunjang kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kelayakan, keefektifan dan mengukur respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran E-booklet berbasis kearifan lokal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Seluruh siswa kelas V (Lima) di KKMI 2 Kuningan. Sampel terdiri dari 25 siswa kelas VA sebagai Kelas eksperimen dan kelas VB terdiri dari 25 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Develoment) dengan model pengembangan 4-D (define, design, development, dissemination) dan teknik penggumpulan data menggunakan Tes, wawancara, Observasi, dan angket. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) media e-booklet berbasis kearifan lokal sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran dengan mencapai persentase sebesar 83,8 dari ahli pembelajaran, ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media; 2) keefektifan e-booklet berbasis kearifan lokal dengan kategori sangat efektif sebagai bahan ajar; Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan; media ebooklet berbasis kearifan lokal itu sangat layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi daur air dan dampaknya; respon siswa menujukkan sangat positif terhadap pembelajaran melaui media ebooklet berbasis kearifan lokal. Abstract

Developing technology-based teaching materials that are more innovative, creative, effective, efficient and contextual is a demand in learning. Lecturers are required to be able to develop media and teaching materials by utilizing technological advances. The aim of this research is to develop complete teaching materials or modules consisting of materials, student worksheets, evaluations, assessment techniques and learning videos to improve students' mastery of concepts using the sigil application. The characteristics of the module developed is a digital module based on mini research, where mini research learning can improve students’, problem solving abilities and integrated science process skills. The method in this research is the Design and Development Research method with the PPE model which includes 3 stages: Planning, Production, and Evaluation. The results of the research are digital modules based on mini PPE research models, planning by analyzing the need to design flowcharts and story boards from digital modules, production by creating digital modules, namely compiling the module framework and endocrinology material in Microsoft Word software (html format) the file is opened in the software sigil editor is saved in epub format, evaluation by material experts and media experts by assessing the feasibility of the digital sigil module based on mini research in endocrinology learning. The results of the validity test based on the appropriate aspects of content, language and presentation are valid. The results of the practicality test by students on the aspects of content, language and usefulness are valid. Mini-research-based digital modules using sigil software are valid, practical and suitable for use in Endocrinology courses with the advantage of facilitating thinking skills and increasing student learning independence.

Abstract

The low level of students ' scientific literacy abilities can be caused by learning habits that are still conventional . Developing digital- based learning media is a good learning media to use in learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and is believed to be capable to increase students ' scientific literacy . The aim of this research is to develop contextual visual media that can increase students ' scientific literacy . The method used in this research uses the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carry . The results of the research is in the form of contextual visual media which was developed in five stages , namely analysis was carried out by observing and interviewing school principals and subject teachers , design was carried out by making stories boards , at the development stages validation was carried out by material experts and learning design experts , implementation was carried out in the experimental class , and the evaluation stages was carried out by improving the visual media developed according to input from the validator team . The validity test results are in the very good category , so the visual media developed is suitable for use in research . Based on the t test results of 0.001, these results indicate that the hypothesis is accepted , so it can be concluded that there is an increase in scientific literacy after learning activities using the developed contextual visual media.
