Abstract

Potensi Pengembangan program pemberdayaan masyarakat harus berorientasi meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan menggunakan sumber daya yang ada. Program harus mempertimbangkan keunggulan yang dimiliki oleh suatu daerah. Oleh karena itu penting untuk melakukan analisis potensi desa sebelum mengambangkan sebuah program pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kuliah Kerja Nyata (Kukerta) merupakan salah satu bentuk program pengabdian masyaraat yang dimotori oleh mahasiswa dan dibimbing langsung oleh Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan. Dari tahun ke tahun program Kukerta terus berkembang menyesuaikan kondisi yang ada. Dalam rangka untuk memasimalkan rancangan program yang dilaksanakan, perlu dilakukan analisis potensi desa terlebih dahulu. Dalam melaksanakan analisis potensi desa, focus pemetaan akan dilaksanakan pada sector (a) perkebunan dan pangan, (b) pariwisata, (c) tambang dan energi, (d) industry, serta (e) kesehatan. Lima indicator tersebut dijadikan sebagai acuan untuk penyusunan program. Data diperoleh melalui survey oleh mahasiswa Kukerta pada tahun 2022. Setelah itu data akan ditabulasi dan dipetakan untuk kemudian dijadikan bahan penyusunan model yang baru.

Abstract

Evaluation of land suitability is carried out to perceive the potential and limitation factors of an area as an agricultural development area. Air Putih Village is one of the potential area for watermelon development area. This research was conducted to perceive the level of actual and potential land suitability for watermelon cultivation in Air Putih Village, Tuah Madani District, Pekanbaru City in the form of a semi-detailed map scale of 1:25.000. The method used in this study was a purposive sampling survey based on a map of land units. There were 7 units of land covering an area of 330.56 ha with a total of 21 sample points. Data were sourced from field observation, analysis of chemistry and physics of soil samples at the laboratory and secondary data from climate data. Land suitability assessment was carried out using the limiting factor matching method. The actual land suitability was in class S3 and N with effective soil depth (rc), base saturation (nr), slope (eh) and soil texture (rc) as limiting factors. The class of the potential land suitability for watermelon cultivation were S2, S3 and N.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan abu, bahan organik, dan kadar serat pada tipologi lahan kubah gambut di Desa Dayun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei lahan gambut. Jumlah titik pengeboran gambut yang ditetapkan adalah sebanyak 28 titik, setiap sampel diambil 3 sampel yaitu pada kedalaman 0-50 cm, 100-150 cm, dan 300-350 cm. Total sampel sebanyak 83 sampel tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanah gambut yang dimiliki Desa Dayun memiliki ketebalan gambut yang beragam mulai dari 2-17 m. Kadar abu berkisar 1,31%-8,525%, C-organik 45,74%-49,35%, rasio C/N 72,62%-144,44%, dan kadar serat 4,00%-57,30%. Kadar abu memiliki hubungan searah yang kuat dengan kedalaman, sementara kadar C-organik berbanding terbalik dan memiliki hubungan yang sangat lemah dengan kedalaman. Rasio C/N juga menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat lemah dengan kedalaman gambut, meskipun berbanding lurus. Selain itu, kadar serat berhubungan lemah dan searah dengan kedalaman gambut.

Abstract

The objectives were to identify land characteristics of agroforestry system that influencing its benefit value, and to compile criteria of site specific. Location were identified by the Landsat 7 ETM+ that designed in the landuse utilization type: rubber agroforestry is identified by cyan old (RGB pixel 143,37; 173,04; 96,03) and palm oil agroforestry is identified by varying bright green-green (red-green-blue pixel 33-145; 142-253; 46-139). In each the landuse utilization type done by measurement of land characteristics, cost the inputs, and price the benefits. The maximum likelihood classification system is used for classification; the benefit value were calculated by benefit-cost ratio; the suitability criteria of site spesific were compiled by cluster analysis. The economic suitability criteria of rubber are: I (4,18-3,94); II (3,94-3,15); III (3,15-2,73); IV (2,73-2,31), the economic suitability criteria of palm oil are: I (3,30-2,72); II (2,72-2,07); III (2,07-1,38); IV (1,38-1,18), and would be base saturation, exchangeable Ca, and Mg. These criteria can be used to evaluate of suitability for the agroforestry system rubber and palm oil in Riau.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari sifat kimia tanah, pengaruh interaksi dan faktor tunggal, serta kombinasi terbaik dari aplikasi biochar cangkang kelapa sawit dan pupuk NPK terhadap tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap factorial (RALF). Faktor pertama adalah biochar cangkang kelapa sawit dengan 4 taraf, yaitu 0; 1,5; 3; dan 4,5 ton.ha-1. Faktor kedua adalah pupuk NPK dengan 4 taraf, yaitu 0, 150, 200, dan 250 ton.ha-1. Data dianalisis statistik ragam dan uji lanjut DNMRT taraf 5%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kombinasi biochar cangkang kelapa sawit dan pupuk NPK pada tanah marginal mampu memperbaiki sifat kimia tanah yaitu terjadi peningkatan P-tersedia, N-total, K-dd, dan KTK. Pemberian biochar cangkang kelapa sawit dosis 4,5 ton.ha-1 secara tunggal, nyata meningkatkan seluruh parameter pengamatan tanaman. Pemberian pupuk NPK dosis 250 kg.ha-1 secara tunggal, nyata meningkatkan seluruh parameter pengamatan tanaman. Biochar cangkang kelapa sawit dosis 4,5 ton. ha-1 dengan pupuk NPK dosis 200 kg.ha-1 nyata meningkatkan seluruh parameter pengamatan dibandingkan dengan tanpa biochar dan pupuk NPK.

Abstract

Lack of education in waste management has led to a large amount of waste being dumped in landfills. Organic waste is the largest type of waste disposed of in landfills. If organic waste is not managed properly, it can cause unpleasant odors in the environment and become a risk factor for global warming and explosions in landfills. This is also the case in RW 02 Air Putih Village. The community directly disposes of household waste without sorting the waste by type. In addition, the community also does not know how to process organic waste into useful items such as eco-enzyme and the products of eco-enzyme processing, namely liquid cleaning soap. This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills on how to process household organic waste into eco-enzyme and cleaning liquid soap made from eco-enzyme as an effort to ground eco-enzyme. The targets in this activity are housewives in RT 01, RT 02, and RT 03, RW 02 Air Putih Village, Tuah Madani Subdistrict. The method used in this community service activity is socialization and training on how to make eco-enzyme and multipurpose cleaning liquid. The results obtained from this activity are the increased knowledge and skills of the community in processing household organic waste into eco-enzyme and liquid cleaning soap.

Abstract

Oil palm is one of Indonesia’s main commodities that play a role in the growth of the national economy. It has a considerable contribution in generating foreign exchange and employment. Development of Indonesia’s CPO processing industry and its derivatives is in line with the growth of plantation area and production of oil palm as a source of raw materials. Until 2011, Indonesia’s oil palm plantation area reached 2,103,175 ha with an FFB production of 36,809,252 tons. Meanwhile, oil palm mill (OPM) processing capacity was 30,019,200 tons only. The analysis showed the regional carrying capacity (RCC) was 1.584. Each FFB should be processed in less than 8 hours or RCC for OPM must be smaller than 1 (RCC, 1). Higher production of oil palm plantations in Riau is the potency to increase the OPM. The results of calculations by land development and farm productivity, Riau region is still lacking of 16 OPM units with a capacity of 60 tons / hour or identical to 21 OPM units at a capacity of 45 tons / hour. The deficiency in OPM impacts the price and income of oil palm farmers in rural areas. High demand for OPM in Riau is a business opportunity for investors to develop an OPM and industry of products derived from oil palm.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani di Desa Sungai Majo, Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir dalam mengenali serta menangani gejala defisiensi unsur hara pada tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.). Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah, diskusi interaktif, demonstrasi lapangan, dan evaluasi berbasis pre-test serta post-test. Materi penyuluhan difokuskan pada identifikasi gejala kekurangan unsur hara esensial seperti N, P, K, Mg, dan B serta penerapan prinsip pemupukan berimbang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan petani sebesar 80% dalam mengenali gejala defisiensi antar unsur hara. Pendekatan partisipatif mendorong peningkatan literasi agronomi dan kesadaran terhadap pentingnya pengelolaan hara berkelanjutan serta pengendalian organisme pengganggu tanaman secara ramah lingkungan. Melalui kolaborasi antara akademisi dan masyarakat, kegiatan ini berhasil memperkuat kapasitas petani menuju sistem pertanian yang adaptif, efisien, dan berkelanjutan, sehingga petani mampu mengetahui gejala defisiensi unsur hara yang terdapat pada tanaman kelapa sawit di Desa Sungai Majo, Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir.

Abstract

Land use is one of the key factors influencing both the physical and chemical properties of soil, including characteristics such as soil color and texture. This study aimed to characterize the physicochemical properties and fertility criteria of soils under different land use types. Five land use categories were selected for investigation: shrubs, grasses, Eucalyptus sp., mixed plantations, and oil palm. Each land use type consisted of three replications. Soil sampling was conducted at five designated points per land use type, with samples collected from a depth of 0–30 cm, resulting in a total of 75 samples. The research was carried out over a three-month period from April to July 2022 using a land survey approach and purposive sampling technique. The observed parameters included soil color, texture, permeability, pH, total nitrogen (N), total phosphorus (P), total potassium (K), organic carbon (C), base saturation, and cation exchange capacity (CEC). The results revealed that the soil color was predominantly black (2.5Y 2/1), with a sandy loam texture. Soil permeability ranged from moderately fast to fast (6.33–23.68 cm·h⁻¹), while soil pH was acidic (4.75–5.11). Total nitrogen was categorized as low (0.11–0.18%), total phosphorus as very low (10.73–27.56 mg·100g⁻¹), and total potassium as very low to low (3.60–10.87 mg·100g⁻¹). Organic carbon content was low to moderate (1.49–2.45%), base saturation was very low (3.37–13.59%), and CEC was classified as very low to low (4.39–8.62 cmol(+)/kg).

Abstract

Sugar palm has an economic and ecological functions. Sugar palm is also able to adapt to marginal land including tidal. This study aims to identify land characteristics for their suitability for tidal. This land survey research was carried out in the Tenayan Raya, Pekanbaru. Sampling points are based on the overlay of land system maps, soil type maps and peat depth maps. Assessment of land suitability for palm trees is carried out using the limiting factor method in actual and potential conditions. The assessment results show that the actual land suitability of all SLH is not current suitable (N1) with the limiting factor for toxicity (xc), with very high Fe levels. Limiting factors of Fe can be overcome by water management, amelioration (supplement of organic material), liming and fertilization. Potential land suitability of all SLH is marginally suitable (S3).
