Abstract

The development orientation which is more dominant on growth, has been impaled to widen the inequality gap. The purpose of this study is to analyze the short-term and long-term effects of several determinants of income in Indonesia during 1998-2021. Data sourced from the World Bank in a time series format. The study method uses descriptive quantitative analysis with the Error Correction Model approach. The Gini index is used as the dependent variable, while the independent variables include the ratio of the work force graduates above senior high school, urban population growth, the agricultural sector, haunting, and fisheries, and per capita GDP growth. The stationarity test results show that stationarity occurs in the first derivative data. Cointegration test results using the Engle-Granger method show that the model built has cointegration. The results of the long-term regression show that two variables have a significant effect on the Gini index, namely the ratio of the work force graduates above senior high school which has a positive effect, and the urban population growth rate which has a negative effect. In the short term, the ratio of the work force graduates above senior high school contributes significantly to the increase in the Gini index. Meanwhile, other predictor variables have no significant effect on the Gini index in Indonesia. The lack of support from the agricultural sector in pushing the Gini index down, and the positive role of the highly educated work force, reflects the ongoing development process which still seems exclusive.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat kali ini berfokus pada peningkatan kinerja UMKM melalui pemanfaatan digital marketing dengan pelatihan penggunaan marketplace dan sosial media. Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah Usaha Tahu Pong Pak Sumantri yang terletak di Binjai, Sumatera Utara. Harapan dengan adanya pelatihan pemanfaatan digital marketing ini dapat meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi masayarakat, khususnya pada ketrampilan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam kegiatan marketing secara global. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah peningkasan area pemasaran, pemesanan produk dari konsumen dan peningkatan manajemen pemesanan produk dengan implementasi teknologi informasi. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pembuatan aplikasi marketplace dan sosial media. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan pendampingan, penyuluhan dan pelatihan penggunaan marketplace yang meliputi desain iklan, upload konten iklan di aplikasi marketplace, dan manajemen pemasaran.

Abstract

One of the company's goals in general is to maximize the value of the company. The higher the company value, the higher the share price, and conversely the lower the company value, the lower the stock price. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the Debt To Assets Ratio and Dividend Policy on the value of companies in the good industry sector. The research method used is a quantitative method. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study are that the Debt To Assets Ratio and Dividend Ratio have a significant influence on the firm value variable. The coefficient value of the determinant of the variable is 15.8%, which means that the Firm Value variable is not influential enough to explain the Debt To Assets Ratio and Dividend Policy variables. Based on the t test it is known that the results obtained are that Dividend Policy has a positive and significant effect on Firm Value, while the debt toll asset ratio has no positive and significant effect on Firm Value while Dividend Policy partially has quite an effect on Firm Value in the good industry sector in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of personal selling and promotions with brand image moderating variables on increasing sales at Medan Foodcourt MSMEs . The population in this research was 46 MSMEs, taking illustrations using a saturated sampling method with a total of 46 illustrations. This research used SEM PLS analysis procedures tested using software smart PLS. The results of this research show that personal selling has a positive influence and has a big impact on brand image. The promotion has a positive and significant influence on Brand Image. Personal selling has a positive and significant influence on increasing sales. The promotion has a positive and significant influence on increasing sales. Brand Image has a positive and significant influence on Increased Sales. Personal selling through Brand Image has a positive and insignificant effect on increasing sales. Promotion through Brand Image has a positive and significant influence on increasing sales. The implications of this research suggest that Foodcourt MSMEs must focus on developing personal selling and promotional strategies that can improve brand image to achieve long-term sales growth

Abstract

The Human Development Index can be used as an indicator of successful development in a country or region. In 2023, Lampung Province's Human Development Index in 2023 amounted to 72.48 and was the lowest in Sumatra Island. This study aims to determine how much the speed of convergence of the Human Development Index between districts/cities in Lampung Province and also to determine how much influence the variables of Health Expenditure, Education Expenditure, and Poverty affect the Human Development Index in Lampung Province in the short and long term. The study used secondary data on Health Expenditure, Education Expenditure, Poverty, and Human Development Index in 13 districts/cities in Lampung Province from 2014 to 2022. The research method used is dynamic panel data regression using the Sys-GMM model. The results showed that the Human Development Index gap between districts/cities in Lampung Province decreased by 54.49% per year. The elasticity of the short-term effects of Health Expenditure, Education Expenditure, and Poverty on the Human Development Index is 9.27%, -1.52%, and -2.41%, respectively. In the long run, health expenditure, education expenditure, and poverty affect the Human Development Index by 20.38%, -3.35%, and -5.30%, respectively. Therefore, the government should continue programs in the health sector, evaluate spending in the education sector, and create poverty alleviation programs that have a significant impact.

Abstract

UMKM merupakan tulang punggung perekonomian negara dilihat dari perannya dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja dan kontribusi pendapatan terhadap pendapatan domestik bruto (PDB). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mnegembangkan sebuah sistem informasi penjualan untuk UMKM ID Food berdasarkan kebutuhan. Metode penelitian menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ID Food masih melakukan pencatatan transaksi usahanya secara manual dan belum memiliki sistem informasi penjualan dan laporan laba rugi yang membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan. Adanya sistem informasi penjualan yang telah dirancang sesuai dengan kebutuhan ID Food, mempermudah ID Food dalam proses produksi, pengelolaan keuangan, dan pengambilan keputusan bisnis. Biasanya keputusan pembelian bahan baku, strategi pemasaran dilaksanakan hanya berdasarkan perkiraan saja, saat ini sudah dapat dilakukan berdasarkan perhitungan aritmatik yang tepat melalui informasi yang dihasilkan oleh aplikasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya sistem informasi penjualan yang mampu menghasilkan laporan laba rugi, dapat membuat pemilik melakukan pengambilan keputusan dengan lebih tepat dalam rangka meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di era new normal.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah utama di negara berkembang yakni pertumbuhan ekonomi. Upaya pertumbuhan ekonomi di suatu daerah dapat dilihat dari melaui factor kemiskinan, pengeluaran pemerintah dan investasi luar negeri. Banyak dan padatnya jumlah penduduk di Provinsi Sumatera Utara menjadi tantangan pemerintah untuk menjadikan sumber daya manusia yang kedepannya dapat berdampak postif atau negatif. Berdasarkan hal ini maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui factor kemiskinan, pengeluaran pemerintah dan investasi luar negeri di Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada tahun 2018-2022. Data penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi dengan panel data meliputi tiga puluh tiga kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Estimasi parameter model panel data         menggunakan Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa faktor kemiskina dan pengeluran pemerintah  berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi di Kabupaten/Kota Sumatera Utara tahun 2018-2022, sedangkan investasi luar negeri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi di      provinsi Sumatera Utara tahun 2018-2022.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of regional investment, regional retribution, and regional expenditure on local revenue in Deli Serdang Regency. This study uses annual data for the period 1993-2022. The type of research used is quantitative research. The data used is secondary data. This research is a time series study with the error correction model (ECM) method conducted with Eviews 10. The results of this study indicate that in the long run the variables of regional investment and regional expenditure have a significant positive effect on local revenue in Deli Serdang district. Meanwhile, the variable of local retribution in the long run has a significant negative influence on local revenue in Deli Serdang Regency. Meanwhile, in the short term, the variables of regional investment, regional retribution, and regional expenditure have a significant positive effect on local revenue in Deli Serdang Regency. Abstract

Personal financial management includes financial management, the process by which an individual ensures his or her needs are met. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of environment and hedonistic lifestyle on student’s financial management. This research method uses Partial Least Squares (PLS) for analysis in this study. This research was conducted in 9 universities in Medan City with a sample of 164 students—data collection techniques by observation and questionnaire. The data source in this study is primary data in the form of research data and secondary data in the form of data sourced from parties outside this study. The study found that the environment has a positive and significant influence on student’s financial management and significant influence on personal financial management. The environment and lifestyle of hedonism must be managed in a balanced manner so it can give a good impact on financial management.

Abstract

Menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan persaingan sengit di sektor industri air minum kemasan, optimisasi biaya transportasi menjadi faktor penting untuk distribusi produk yang efisien. Penelitian berjudul "Optimasi Biaya Transportasi Pengiriman Air Minum Kemasan pada Pt Tirta Sari Sumber Murni” membahas terkait peningkatan upaya efisiensi operasional dan pengurangan biaya logistik melalui alokasi produk yang optimal melalui Stepping-Stone Method, Northwest Corner Method dan Vogels Approximation Method. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan biaya transportasi dari dua gudang ke berbagai toko, menggunakan analisis matematis dan pemodelan transportasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan alokasi produk terendah melibatkan pengiriman 2600 unit produksi dari Gudang 1 ke Toko MSM, Toko W, dan Toko PH, serta 3940 unit produksi dari Gudang 2 ke Toko PH, Toko JA, Toko Ucok, dan Toko LKK. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang efisiensi transportasi, alokasi produk, dan wawasan strategis untuk merancang kebijakan distribusi yang lebih efektif, serta menjadi dasar pengambilan keputusan dalam manajemen rantai pasok produk tersebut.
