Abstract

Communication training is a common sort of education, particularly in the business world. The purpose of this exercise is to assist SMA Muhammadiyah Luwuk students in developing their business skills. The problem is that students do not have access to entrepreneurship education communication resources at school. The training method is divided into four stages: displaying a video about the significance of communication, offering material and business communication simulations for communication skills training, and drawing conclusions from all of the training supplied. The results of the corporate communication training program have helped SMA Muhammadiyah students improve their communication skills and gain confidence in public speaking.

Abstract

Rapid digitalization has fundamentally transformed business models, investment patterns, and financing decisions, prompting firms to reassess how they structure and manage capital in an increasingly technology-driven environment. This study aims to analyze the determinants of corporate capital structure in the digital era and compare the influence of these factors between technology-based and non-technology companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study uses a quantitative explanatory approach with secondary data from companies’ annual financial reports for the period 2018–2023. The analysis was conducted using multiple regression to examine the influence of each determinant and the differences in patterns between the two groups of companies. The results show that asset tangibility has a significant positive effect on the debt-to-equity ratio in both groups, while profitability has a significant negative effect, consistent with the pecking order theory. Company size is only significant in non-technology companies, while growth and liquidity show different influences between the groups. These findings confirm that the characteristics of the digital industry, particularly the dominance of intangible assets and high capital requirements for innovation, influence capital structure policies differently from traditional industries, providing important empirical insights for financial managers and capital market stakeholders in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of accounting as a tool of power in nonprofit organizations, focusing on financial control practices used to legitimize the organization's existence and influence stakeholder relationships. In the context of nonprofit organizations, accounting serves not only as a means of recording transactions but also as an instrument of power that influences strategic decision-making and fund management. Accounting practices are often used to establish organizational legitimacy, manage relationships with donors, and ensure that funds are used in accordance with established objectives. This study found that transparent and accurate financial reporting plays a crucial role in legitimizing the organization's existence in the eyes of donors and the public. However, external pressure from donors and boards can encourage financial reporting manipulation practices, aimed at improving the organization's image. On the other hand, external audits serve to maintain transparency and accountability, although challenges related to weak internal controls remain a significant problem. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening internal controls and more effective accounting systems to prevent financial manipulation and increase transparency in the management of nonprofit funds.
