Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of performance evaluation through the E-Kinerja BKN application to improve the performance of government apparatus in Pohuwato Regency. The performance of government apparatus plays a crucial role in realizing optimal public services, in line with the vision of the Pohuwato Regency Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) 2021-2026. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the implementation of performance evaluation and the challenges encountered. Data were collected through interviews and observations of government officials involved in the performance evaluation system. The findings indicate that the implementation of E-Kinerja enhances transparency and objectivity in employee performance assessment. However, several challenges remain, such as a lack of understanding among employees regarding the system, limited technological infrastructure, and resistance to transitioning from a manual to a digital system. Periodic evaluations reveal an improvement in employee effectiveness and productivity after the system's implementation. Therefore, increasing human resource capacity and strengthening technological infrastructure are necessary to ensure the successful implementation of E-Kinerja in enhancing the quality of government apparatus performance in Pohuwato Regency.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine shifting of weeds species on upland previously planted with corn and treated with several organic matters. The experiment was conducted from August 2010 until January 2011, at Bakung Indralaya South Sumatera. Randomized complete block design was used with 7 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were types of organic matters applied, consisted of planted Mucuna bracteata, planted Vigna unguiculata, compost of M. bracteata, compost of corn stalk, buried corn stalk, cow manure, and fallow. The plot size was 5 m x 20 m with 5 sampling plots. The sampling plot size was 1 m x 1 m each. The results showed that there were change in weeds composition after organic matter treatments. There were 18 species of weeds before treatments which were dominated by Panicum maximum, Eleusine indica, and Borreria laevis. After the organic matter treatments there were 22 weeds species, which classified into 17 genus and 11 families, floristically. The main weeds were Richardia brasiliensis, Borreria alata, and Eleusine indica. The weeds diversity index was less to medium with the point of 1.33 to 1.85. The community coefficient between before and after organic matter treatment was < 30% , while the average of communities coefficient between organic matter treatments above 75%.Keywords: diversity, organic matter, shifting species, weeds

Abstract

Abstract

The efforts to improve land use efficiency to increase food crop production can be done with an intercropping system. Intercropping can be done with a food crop and horticultural crop planting system, such as corn and spinach. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coffee skin compost on the growth and production of corn and spinach in an intercropping system. The research method used a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The treatment factor were the dose of coffee skin composts consisting of 5 treatments, each treatment repeated 3 times. The treatments used were P0: (Control without treatment) P1: 4 tons/ha of coffee skin compost (2.5 kg/plot) P2: 4.6 tons/ha of coffee skin compost (3 kg/plot) P3: 5.2 tons/ha of coffee skin compost (3.5 kg/plot) P4: 6 tons/ha of coffee skin compost (4 kg/plot). Based on the research results, it was known that intercropping of corn and spinach with the application of coffee skin compost did not have a significant effect on the growth and yield of corn plants. While in spinach plants, the application of coffe skin compost had a significant influence on growth parameters,  namely plant height, leaf length and width per week. However, other variables, such as the number of leaf and spinach harvest did not show significant efect. This showed that coffee skin compost tends to affect spinach growth more than corn in the intercropping system. Although the effect on corn was not statistically significant, the highest mean values were observed at P3 (5.2 tons/ha) and P4 (6 tons/ha) treatments  in corn and spinach intercropping.

Abstract

Mardhiana et al., 2012. The Characteristics and Abundance of Nepenthes of Nutrient-poor Habitats. JLSO 1(1):50-56.This research aimed at assesing the characteristics and abundanceof Nepenthespopulation in nutrient-poor habitats. This study was conducted at two locations, Talang Kelapa village, Banyuasin Km 10, and Pasir Putih village, Sukajadi, Banyuasin Km 18. Observations were made on  the soil chemical and physical properties, morphology  and population abundance  of Nepenthes. The result showed  that N. mirabilis was the only species found in  Talang Kelapa and Pasir Putih.  Nepenthes upwere able to grow well in very poor soil nutrients. Natural habitat in Pasir Putih with sandy soil  and water log condition gave better effect on the morphology and abundance in than in Talang Kelapa with  clay soil and dry.  The ratio of  Nepenthes abundance in Pasir Putih to that in Talang Kelapa was 3:2.
