Abstract

Cognitive evaluation instruments are essential tools for systematically and objectively measuring students’ thinking abilities. This study analyzes two primary types of cognitive assessment instruments objective tests and essay tests by evaluating their quality based on established indicators of validity and reliability. The purpose of this research is to examine how effectively these instruments measure cognitive performance across different levels of thinking skills. This study employs a qualitative research method with a content analysis approach, which involves reviewing, selecting, and analyzing scholarly literature, including textbooks, empirical studies, and theoretical documents related to test construction, validity, and reliability. The content analysis reveals that the cognitive domain encompasses mental processes such as problem-solving, reasoning, and the integration of conceptual knowledge. Written cognitive test instruments generally consist of essay tests (restricted and extended response) and objective tests (true–false, multiple-choice, matching, and completion). The findings demonstrate that the overall quality of cognitive evaluation instruments is largely determined by their validity and reliability, which serve as critical benchmarks for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of cognitive measurement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Compensation, Reputation, and E-recruitment on Job Application Interest in State-Owned Enterprises among Undergraduate Management Study Program students of Class of 2020 and 2021, University of Riau. The population in this study were students who had participated in an internship program in a State-Owned Enterprise, totaling 180 students. The number of samples in this study was carried out using the proportionate stratifield random sampling technique , which is a sampling technique that has members or elements that are not homogeneous and stratified proportionally, so that the number of samples in this study was 124 students. The results of the study with hypothesis testing showed that Compensation, Reputation, and E-recruitment simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on Job Application Interest, Compensation had a positive and significant effect on Job Application Interest, Reputation had a positive and significant effect on Job Application Interest and E -recruitment had a positive and significant effect on Job Application Interest

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penurunan kinerja karyawan Pabrik Kelapa Sawit PT. Hutahaean Dalu-Dalu dalam tiga tahun terakhir, diduga dipengaruhi oleh lemahnya budaya organisasi, komitmen, dan kurangnya kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh budaya organisasi, komitmen organisasi, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sampel berjumlah 61 responden, dan data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara simultan ketiga variabel berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja (F hitung = 138,662; Sig. = 0,000). Secara parsial, budaya organisasi (t = 2,313; Sig. = 0,024), komitmen organisasi (t = 3,107; Sig. = 0,003), dan kepuasan kerja (t = 5,401; Sig. = 0,000) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja, dengan nilai determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,879. Variabel yang paling dominan memengaruhi kinerja adalah kepuasan kerja. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya peningkatan kepuasan dan pembinaan budaya organisasi untuk memperkuat kinerja karyawan dan daya saing perusahaan.

Abstract

Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelatihan dan penghargaan terhadap karir guru penggerak di Kota Pekanbaru. Desain/metodologi/pendekatan – Penelitian ini dilakukan di Balai Guru Penggerak (BGP) dan menggunakan data yang diperoleh dari hasil penyebaran kuesioner dengan sampel 142 guru penggerak dan sasarannya adalah mereka yang sudah mengikuti Program Guru Penggerak di Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis data statistik dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Temuan – Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Pelatihan dan Penghargaan secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap Karir guru penggerak, 2) Pelatihan secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap Karir guru penggerak, 3) Penghargaan secara simultan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Karir guru penggerak. Artinya pengaruh variabel-variabel tersebut saling berhubungan, dimana dengan adanya pelatihan dan penghargaan yang tinggi akan berdampak terhadap karir di sebuah organisasi maupun instansi. Keterbatasan penelitian – Beberapa keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini ialah jumlah sampel masih terbatas yang belum sepenuhnya mewakili keseluruhan populasi guru penggerak di Kota Pekanbaru, terutama yang berasal dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan dan latar belakang sekolah yang berbeda sehingga kurang untuk menggambarkan keadaan yang sesungguhnya. Implikasi – Disarankan agar Guru Penggerak di Kota Pekanbaru berfokus pada ilmu serta membuat berbagai prestasi selama pelatihan secara langsung dan tidak langsung dalam praktik mengajar agar memperoleh penghargaan yang ada di Program Guru Penggerak (PGP). Hal itu dapat dimulai dengan aktif mengikuti berbagai pelatihan yang sesuai dengan bidang dan kebutuhan professional dan mendokumentasikan setiap pencapaian dan penghargaan yang diraih sebagai bentuk rekam jejak kegiatan yang dilakukan.

Abstract

The implementation of the curriculum at the primary and secondary education levels, namely Elementary School, Junior High School, and Senior High School, has undergone significant transformation through the application of the Freedom of Learning program and the Deep Learning approach. The Freedom of Learning program encourages flexibility in learning, teacher creativity, and student independence in the learning process, while the Deep Learning approach emphasizes in-depth mastery of concepts, critical thinking skills, and the ability to solve complex problems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the curriculum at various levels of education and evaluate the effectiveness of applying both approaches in improving the quality of learning. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. Qualitative descriptive is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words about people and observable behaviors to discover truths that are acceptable to human reason. The data collection technique used is a literature study, where data is obtained from books and previous research journals relevant to the topic being discussed. The results of the study show that the implementation of Freedom of Learning provides space for innovation in teaching methods and increases student motivation to learn, while the Deep Learning approach is able to improve students' overall understanding of concepts as well as their analytical and synthesis skills. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating both approaches to create relevant, adaptive, and quality learning in the modern era of education.

Abstract

Pemula (TKMP) Abstract−This research aims to determine the influence of entrepreneurial interest, entrepreneurial motivation, and entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial skills of Independent Beginner Workforce (TKMP) participants in Riau Province. The population in this study consists of 124 participants, with sampling conducted using the saturated sampling technique, making the entire population the research sample. Primary data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis method employed was Multiple Linear Regression in SPSS 21. The research results indicate that entrepreneurial interest, entrepreneurial motivation, and entrepreneurship education simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on the entrepreneurial skills of Independent Beginner Workforce (TKMP) participants in Riau Province, with F-calculated value (36.579) > F-table (2.680) or significance value (0.000) < 0.05. Entrepreneurial interest has a positive and significant influence on the entrepreneurial skills of Independent Beginner Workforce (TKMP) participants in Riau Province, with t-calculated value (3.556) > t-table (1.979) or significance (0.001) < 0.05. Entrepreneurial motivation has a positive and significant influence on the entrepreneurial skills of Independent Beginner Workforce (TKMP) participants in Riau Province, with t-calculated value (4.332) > t-table (1.979) or significance (0.000) < 0.05. Entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant influence on the entrepreneurial skills of Independent Beginner Workforce (TKMP) participants in Riau Province, with t-calculated value (2.574) > t-table (1.979) or significance (0.011) < 0.05.

Abstract

According to data from the Outlook of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, a pineapple surplus is projected to reach 789.03 thousand tons in 2025 (Center for Agricultural Data and Information Systems, Ministry of Agriculture, 2023). High pineapple production without adequate downstream processing may lead to oversupply, short shelf life, price decline, and increased agricultural waste. One of the downstreaming efforts has been implemented by the “Nenas Berduri” (Ponari) Group in Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar Regency, through pineapple syrup production. However, the group faced several key issues: low extraction yield due to manual equipment, absence of standardized operational procedures, and limited understanding of proper production techniques. This community empowerment program aimed to enhance production capacity and product quality through the introduction of processing technology, the development of standard operating procedures, and production training. The results showed an increase in production capacity from 20–30 bottles to 80–90 bottles per month, a reduction in extraction time from 5–6 hours to less than 1 hour per batch, and all group members were able to independently operate the juicing machine and apply the SOPs correctly. This activity contributed to improving production efficiency and group self-reliance, strengthening local MSME capacity, and supporting the sustainability of pineapple syrup as a regional flagship product.

Abstract

Sedimentation caused by erosion in the Lesti Sub-Watershed and the upstream part of the Brantas Watershed as a whole has an impact on disrupting the role of the Sengguruh Dam in supporting economic activity in East Java. Reducing erosion in upstream areas during their development requires an environmental science approach that harmonizes economic, social, and environmental aspects. This study aims to: Assess the influence of population pressure, community behavior, and land use on erosion in the Lesti Sub-watershed; Predict erosion in the Lesti Sub-watershed; and Provide an environmental science-based conservation strategy for the Lesti Sub-watershed in the context of sustainable development.. The research method used was mixed methods, both through GIS assistance for the Modify Universal Soil Loss Equation erosion formula and also through questionnaires and interviews with communities in the Lesti sub-watershed area. From research on the Lesti sub-watershed, the average erosion rate obtained is 153,868 tons/ha/year, which means it exceeds the minimum tolerance limit. Of the 12 sub-districts in the Lesti sub-watershed area, 6 (six) sub-districts have problems from the environmental aspect through the condition of several sub-districts with high erosion hazard levels. Erosion is correlated with people's knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in the economic aspects through population pressure and social conditions through land use patterns. Based on environmental science, conservation priority recommendations are for these 6 (six) sub-districts by improving soil and water conservation efforts, both vegetatively and civil-technically (environmentally), environmental education (social), and community economic empowerment (economy).
