Abstract

Communication in flood disasters is not only needed in disaster emergencies, but is also important during pre-disaster, emergency response, and post-disaster. Preparing communities in flood-prone areas must always be done. One of them is through disaster education. The purpose of this research is to describe the communication strategy in flood disaster preparedness in Sungai Tabuk. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of the research that has been conducted show the existence of interactive communication strategies in flood preparedness, including: 1) customer focus, through simple messages, 2) leadership commitment, namely proactive leadership in preparation, 3) situational awareness, public awareness of the situation, and 4) media partnership, utilizing various digital and conventional media for information dissemination. However, it was found that there is still a digital divide among the elderly community that needs to be addressed.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile through the implementation of differentiated learning in social studies subjects in class VII of SMPN 11 Banjarmasin. Using a qualitative approach, the research involved classroom observations, interviews with teachers, principals and students, and analysis of learning documents. The results showed that the differentiated learning implemented was able to increase student participation and adapt learning methods to individual needs. In addition, the integration of Pancasila values in the social studies curriculum succeeded in shaping better student characters, such as tolerance, cooperation and social care. The findings show that differentiated learning not only improves academic outcomes, but also contributes to students' character development in line with national education goals. Thus, the implementation of this strategy is recommended as an effort to create a generation with Pancasila character.

Abstract

The research problem comes from the production factors of cassava crackers. This research aims to describe the production factors of the cracker business. The research used a qualitative method to describe the production factors of the cassava cracker business in Sungai Sahurai Village. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis with data reduction refers to the research objectives, presentation of data obtained in the field, and conclusion. Testing data validity through triangulation and member check.  Based on the results of the study, it was found that the production activities of the cassava crackers business have several factors in the form of raw materials, capital, labour, and entrepreneurial skills. The primary raw material is cassava, capital whose source comes from its own and borrowed capital, labour, namely the business actors themselves, and additional labour and entrepreneurial skills that are passed down from generation to generation. This study concludes that in Sungai Sahurai Village, most of the residents have a cassava cracker business; these business activities can take place and still exist today because there are production factors that support each other.

Abstract

Water hyacinth is often considered a harmful aquatic weed, yet it holds significant potential as a raw material for the creative industry. One such initiative has been undertaken by the community of Banyu Hirang village, where Eceng Gondok is transformed into woven products. This article aims to investigate how the utilization of Water Hyacinth contributes to an environmentally friendly creative economy in Banyu Hirang village. The research employs a qualitative approach, gathering data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis involves reduction, presentation, concluding, and final verification stages. The research findings elucidate that harnessing Water Hyacinth as a weaving material provides economic benefits for local artisans and has a positive environmental impact by reducing water weed populations and employing more eco-friendly raw materials.
