Abstract

Kopi merupakan industri agro unggulan Provinsi Bali. Sentra kopi di Bali yang sudah terkenal dengan status perlindungan indikasi geografis adalah Kecamatan Kintamani, yang merupakan penghasil kopi arabika terbesar sekaligus ikon kopi arabika di Bali. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan upaya untuk mempertahankan produksi kopi melalui pemilihan jenis pupuk yang tidak membahayakan lingkungan, contohnya pupuk hayati yang berasal dari fungi mikoriza arbuskula (FMA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan komposisi media tumbuh terbaik dan tingkat kadar air tanah optimal serta interaksi antar kedua perlakuan untuk perbanyakan spora endomikoriza. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 2 faktor yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tumbuh yang terdiri atas empat taraf yaitu Mt (tanah saja), Mp (tanah dan pasir vulkanik dengan rasio 1:1/v:v), Mk (tanah dan kompos dengan rasio 1:1/v:v), dan Mc (tanah, pasir vulkanik, dan kompos dengan rasio 1:1:1/v:v:v). Faktor kedua adalah kadar air tanah yang terdiri atas tiga taraf yaitu A0 (100% kapasitas lapang), A1 (70% kapasitas lapang), dan A2 (40% kapasitas lapang). Hasil perbanyakan spora tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan kombinasi MpA0 sebanyak 55,00 spora dengan peningkatan 120%. Sedangkan perlakuan kombinasi MkA2 menghasilkan spora terendah sebanyak 34,25 spora dengan peningkatan 37%.

Abstract

Vertiminaponik merupakan perpaduan antara budidaya tanaman (hidroponik) dan budidaya ikan (akuakultur) dalam satu tempat/lahan yang disusun secara vertikal. Dalam sistem vertiminaponik media tanam memegang peranan penting sebagai salah satu penentu pertumbuhan tanaman dan ikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji media tanam terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil pakcoy serta pertumbuhan dan hasil ikan lele pada sistem vertiminaponik. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor yaitu media tanam yang terdiri atas empat taraf, yaitu pecahan batu bata, pasir malang, kerikil dan zeolit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, media tanam pasir malang menghasilkan berat kering total dan berat segar total hasil panen pakcoy tertinggi yaitu 12,42 g dan 240,72 g. Media tanam zeolit memberikan hasil bobot ikan lele tertinggi yaitu 11,75 kg, namun berbeda tidak nyata dengan media pasir malang (11,03 kg).

Abstract

Kakao merupakan tanaman perkebunan yang berpotensi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan negara. Di Bali, produksi kakao tertinggi adalah di Kabupaten Jembrana. Peningkatan produktivitas tanaman kakao dapat dilakukan dengan cara pemupukan ramah lingkungan menggunakan pupuk hayati Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan isolat FMA indigenus dan perbanyakannya dengan media tanam berbeda dan kadar air tanah. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2020 sampai Januari 2021. Sampel FMA untuk isolasi dan identifikasi diambil dari Desa Pulukan, Kecamatan Pekutatan, Kabupaten Jembrana, sedangkan isolasi dan identifikasi FMA dilakukan di Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura Fakultas Pertanian Unud, Laboratorium Penyakit Tanaman, Laboratorium Sumber daya Genetik dan Biologi Molekuler Unud dan Rumah Kaca Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Unud, Denpasar. Perbanyakan spora FMA menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 2 faktor dan 4 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah media tanam, terdiri atas empat taraf perlakuan, yaitu media tanam tanah, tanah dan pasir, tanah dan kompos, dan tanah, pasir dan kompos, sedangkan faktor kedua adalah kadar air tanah yang terdiri atas tiga taraf perlakuan, yaitu kadar air tanah 100%, 70%, dan 40% kapasitas lapang. Hasil isolasi dan identifikasi menunjukkan terdapat tiga genus spora FMA yang ditemukan yaitu Glomus, Gigaspora, Acaulospora. Hasil perbanyakan spora menunjukkan media tanam tanah dan pasir dengan kombinasi kadar air tanah 40% kapasitas lapang menghasilkan spora paling tinggi yaitu rata-rata 62 spora.

Abstract

This research aims at identifying the content of heavy metals, namely Pb, Cu, Cd, and Cr in the rice and corn cultivated on the agricultural land of Subak Kerdung, Pemogan Village, South Denpasar District. Rice and corn plants are suspected of having indications of heavy metals due to pollution of the downstream Badung River, which is used as irrigation in Subak Kerdung agricultural land. The analysis of heavy metal contents is conducted on the rice and corn plant organs samples, including roots, stems, leaves, and seeds. The test results show that the organs of rice and corn plants detect the contents of heavy metals Pb, Cu, Cd, and Cr which exceed quality standards. According to the results of analysis tests on organs of the rice plant, the content of heavy metal Pb is detected 21.95 mg/kg; heavy metal Cu 170.42 mg/kg; heavy metals Cd 0.35 mg/kg; and heavy metal Cr 7.03 mg/kg. Meanwhile, the results of analysis test on organs of the corn plant detect the content of heavy metal Pb 16.96 mg/kg; heavy metal Cu 58.16 mg/kg; heavy metal Cd 2.5 mg/kg; and heavy metal Cr 3.16 mg/kg. Therefore, it can be concluded that the content of heavy metals Pb, Cu, Cd, and Cr is more detected in the roots of rice and corn plants, also partially translocated to their stems, leaves, and seeds. Abstract

The high perception of Kawah Putih Ecotourism management in involving the community in economic activities still has no impact on increasing people's income and standard of living, so it is necessary to analyze the impact of Kawah Putih Ecotourism development on the socio-economy and environment of the surrounding community and its development strategy. First, it is measured with ecotourism parameters for implementation to determine the economic impact on society which is analyzed with income inequality and Klassen typology. Social impact analyzes its positive and negative impacts. The physical environment is analyzed through environmental awareness parameters and development strategies using IFE-EFE, SWOT and QSPM techniques. The results of the research evaluating the application of the principles and criteria of Crater Ecotourism obtained quite high performance results. While the economic analysis of the average per capita income of the community is relatively small for economic growth, the classification of the Klassen typology of the Kawah Putih community is still considered a disadvantaged area. The social impact of the community is categorized as moderate with a slightly larger percentage of negative impact. The level of environmental awareness is still felt to be quite high. Kawah Putih ecotourism priority strategy is to implement quality and licensed management and services by prioritizing honesty, hospitality, comfort and cleanliness to create tourist loyalty so as to improve the economy, social community is more inclined to positive impacts with high environmental awareness. Abstract

Identificaion of Morphological Characters and Fruits Nutrient Analysis of Pisang Susu, Kepok, and Raja Lokal Bali. Banana (Musa sp.) is one of the germplasms which is distributed in tropical and sub-tropical areas. Various types of bananas exist, causing differences in character between each cultivar. This research was carried out in July - October 2022. The location for sampling bananas was in Banjar Soka, Antap Village, Selemadeg Barat District, Tabanan Regency, while morphological identification and analysis of nutrient content were carried out at Laboratory. This study used UPGMA analysis and a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. Identification of morphological characters revealed differences in the qualitative characters of the shape of fruit, shape of the tip of fruit, rest of the flower relics, colour of the peel before and after ripening, cracking of the peel, surface of the peels, colour of pulp before and after ripening shape of the seeds, finger length, finger stalk length, finger stalk width and fruit peel thickness. The nutritional content of the fruit flesh is different in crude fat and crude fibre.

Abstract

The Effect of Organic Mulch Types on Growth and Production of Ground Peanuts. The condition of agricultural land in Bali which is starting to decrease due to the conversion of land to non-agricultural purposes has resulted in land optimization being urgently needed so that food needs can still be fulfilled. Land optimization can be carried out on potential dry lands and which have not been widely developed. In Bali, Subak Abian is an area to develop agriculture in dry land but mostly to obtain perennial plants produce so there are no many annual plants are cultivated. Based on this, to meet the needs of food diversification can be carried out by optimizing the dry land, introducing ground peanuts as annual crop and using the application of mulch as an alternative method of overcoming water problems in dry land. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of applying organic mulch on growth and yield ground peanuts in dry lands. This research was conducted at Subak Abian Tirta Taman Sari Tanah Ayu, Sibang Gede Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali and several variables were carried out at the Laboratory of Agronomy and Horticulture and Soil Environment Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. This study used randomized block design with organic mulch treatment consisting of three levels, M0, M1, M2. The results showed ground peanuts on the M2 treatment significantly gave the highest yield to the variable number of pods (17,61 pods), fresh stover weight (194,72 g) and dry stover weight (46,62 g).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the types of hyperaccumulator plants that can absorb the heavy metal content of Pb, Cu, Cd, Cr based on the values of bioaccumulation factors (BAF) and translocation factors (TF). Results of the analysis showed that BAF value of the hanjuang plant (Cordyline fruicosa), for heavy metal Pb was 0.369; Cu 0.442; Cd 0.055; Cr 0.078 and TF value for heavy metal Pb 1.572; Cu 0.964; Cd 0.108; Cr 1.358. Croton plant (Codiaeum variegatum), had a BAF value of Pb 0.021; Cu 0.060; Cd 0.000; Cr 0.003 and TF value of Pb 3.638; Cu 0.000; Cd 0.000; Cr 1.399. Sansevieria plant (Sansevieria trifasciata) had a BAF value of Pb 0.090; Cu 0.036; Cd 0.015; Cr 0.002 and TF value of Pb 0.410; Cu 0.334; Cd 0.222; Cr 0.726. Sunflower plant (Helianthus annuus) had a BAF value of Pb 0.022; Cu 0.094; Cd 0.308; Cr 0.001 and TF value of Pb 1.930; Cu 0.399; Cd 1.383; Cr 1.361. Based on a comparison of BAF values, hanjuang plant was the best hyperaccumulator plant capable of accumulating Pb, Cu, Cr with a phytoextraction mechanism and accumulating Cd with a phytostabilization mechanism. At the same time, sunflower a hyperaccumulator plant with the best translocation factor where the roots of sunflower plants absorbed Pb, Cu, Cd, Cr, which were then translocated to the stems and leaves optimally through a phytoextraction mechanism.

Abstract

There are indications of heavy metal contamination in soil and agricultural products on paddy fields in Subak Kerdung, Bali. Soil amendments are needed to reduce heavy metal content in contaminated soil to minimize heavy metals in plants. Biochar that contains high organic carbon material and is highly resistant to decomposition is claimed to inhibit and reduce the content of heavy metals in soil and plants. Banana wastes containing cellulose and lignin are considered good as biochar raw materials. This research that aimed to observe the ability of banana waste biochar to reduce heavy metals in soil taken from Subak Kerdung, Bali, was conducted in a greenhouse using maize plants as control plants. The treatments tested consisted of two factors. The first factor was the type of banana waste as biochar-making material consisting of banana stem biochar, banana peel biochar, banana fruit bunch biochar, and mixed biochar (banana stem + banana peel + banana fruit bunch). The second factor was the biochar dosage, which consists of four contents, namely 0 t/ha, 5 t/ha, 10 t/ha, and 15 t/ha. All treatment combinations were arranged in a two-factor, randomized block design with three replications. The results showed that mixed biochar (banana stem + banana peel + banana fruit bunch) effectively reduced Pb and Cu in maize plants. In contrast, banana peel biochar could optimally reduce Cd content in soil and its content in plants. Based on the dose, 15 t/ha of mixed biochar reduced Pb and Cd contents, while 10 t/ha of mixed biochar reduced Cu content.

Abstract

Kendala terbesar pada budidaya tanaman stroberi di agrowisata Desa Pancasari, Buleleng, Bali adalah kerontokan bunga dan buah. Upaya untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian NAA (Napthalene Acetic Acid). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi NAA dan waktu aplikasi pada pertumbuhan dan hasil stroberi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Pancasari pada bulan November 2020-April 2021. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi NAA terdiri atas empat taraf, yaitu 0, 50, 100, dan 200 ppm. Faktor kedua adalah waktu aplikasi terdiri atas 3 taraf, yaitu aplikasi pada fase berbunga, fase berbuah, dan fase berbunga + berbuah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi NAA 200 ppm meningkatkan hasil stroberi yaitu bobot per buah sebesar 12,52% (1,88 g) dan diameter buah sebesar 10,46% (2,35 mm). Waktu aplikasi NAA pada fase berbunga + berbuah meningkatkan jumlah buah panen per tanaman sebesar 40,55% (4,45 buah), diameter buah sebesar 8,68% (1,98 mm) dan bobot buah panen per tanaman 71,78%. Sementara waktu aplikasi NAA pada fase berbunga meningkatkan pertumbuhan pada persentase fruit set sebesar 25,13% (114,33 g), jumlah bunga per tanaman sebesar 93,81% (2,58 kuncup, jumlah buah terbentuk per tanaman 80,85% (70,25 buah), serta total padatan terlarut sebesar 16,03% (1,39 brix). Interaksi antara konsentrasi NAA dan waktu aplikasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi per tanaman dan bobot buah panen per tanaman. Kombinasi konsentrasi NAA 100 ppm dan waktu aplikasi pada fase berbunga + berbuah dapat menekan tinggi per tanaman sebesar 2,14 cm atau menekan 8,72%, tetapi meningkatkan bobot buah panen per tanaman sebesar 263,26 g atau meningkat 236,45%.
