Abstract

Tanaman jagung merupakan jenis tanaman yang paling umum digunakan sebagai inang (host) dalam perbanyakan spora mikoriza. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode perbanyakan Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA) dengan kadar air tanah dan jumlah tanaman inang dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan, yaitu RAK 2 faktor. Faktor pertama kadar air tanah terdiri atas 4 taraf yaitu K1 (100% kapasitas lapang), K2 (75% kapasitas lapang), K3 (50% kapasitas lapang) dan K4 (25% kapasitas lapang). Faktor kedua jumlah tanaman inang per pot terdiri atas 3 taraf, yaitu J1 (1 tanaman per pot), J2 (2 tanaman per pot), dan J3 (3 tanaman per pot). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi perlakuan kadar air 25% dan jumlah tanaman tiga per pot (K4J3) menghasilkan 372.275 spora per pot. Pada pertumbuhan tanaman jagung, faktor tunggal kadar air tanah K3 menghasilkan berat kering total tertinggi, yaitu 3.065 g, dan faktor tunggal jumlah tanaman inang per pot J3 menghasilkan berat kering total tertinggi, yaitu 6.445 g.

Abstract

Tujuan: Penelitian yang dilakukan bekerja sama dengan Badan Riset Inovasi Daerah (Brida) Provinsi Bali ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi pengembangan jeruk keprok Tejakula dan sebarannya berdasarkan analisis kesesuaian lahan aktual dan potensial serta arahan pengelolaan lahan, dalam rangka pengembangan jeruk keprok Tejakula. Metode penelitian: Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Tejakula Kabupaten Buleleng mulai Mei 2023 sampai November 2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan wawancara. Metode klasifikasi kesesuain lahan ditetapkan dengan cara mencocokkan (matching) data karakteristik/kualitas lahan dengan kriteria syarat tumbuh berdasarkan pedoman Ritung et al. Penilaian kesesuaian lahan dilakukan sampai pada tingkat unit. Hasil dan pembahasan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas kesesuaian lahan aktual untuk tanaman jeruk keprok Tejakula tergolong S3 (sesuai marginal) sampai N (tidak sesuai) dengan factor pembatas curah hujan, tekstur, bahan kasar, KTK, N-total, P-tersedia, lereng dan bahaya erosi. Faktor pembatas setelah diperbaiki maka didapatkan kesesuaian lahan potensial tergolong S1 (sangat sesuai) sampai S2 (cukup sesuai) dengan faktor pembatas tekstur tanah. Implikasi: Perbaikan kesesuaian lahan potensial dapat dilakukan dengan upaya perbaikan struktur tanah dengan penambahan pupuk organik. Arahan penggunaan lahan pada lokasi penelitian dengan mengatur waktu tanam, penambahan pupuk organik, pupuk Urea, Pupuk TSP/SP36 dan menerapkan teknik konservasi yaitu dengan terasering dan tanaman penguat teras.

Abstract

Tangerines (Citrus reticulata var. Tejakula) were destroyed in 1984 by CVPD, allegedly because the use of chemicals was too intensive, resulting in land degradation. Since ten years ago, these oranges have been successfully cultivated again using healthy organic cultivation, but farmers have difficulty getting organic fertilizer. This research aimed to identify and isolate the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) on tangerines cv. Tejakula, their colonization of the roots and effect on soil fertility. Exploration was conducted by collecting root and soil samples in tangerine cv. Tejakula production centers are in the Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency. Spore isolation was conducted using wet filtration and centrifugation techniques, while root colonization by AMF was carried out using the staining method with trypan blue. The isolated spores are composited into AMF biofertilizer using volcanic sand as a carrier medium. The biofertilizer was then tested for its effect on soil fertility with three treatment levels of AMF spore doses (0, 20, and 40 spores/50 g of carrier media per plant). The results of exploration, isolation, and identification showed that three genera and six species of AMF were found. The spore density ranged from 17 to 32 per 100 g of soil (mean 24.17 ± 2.02 spores). The average root colonization by AMF was very high, ranging from 90 to 100%, and the application of AMF biofertilizer at a dose of 20 and 40 spores per plant provided soil fertility was much better than the control (0 AMF spores per plant).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) berbasis karakter terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Pattimura Denpasar Selatan tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu menggunakan rancangan kelompok nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Pattimura Denpasar Selatan yang berjumlah 301 orang. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan mengacak kelas. Sampel yang didapatkan disetarakan terlebih dahulu menggunakan teknik matching. Penentuan kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dilakukan dengan cara mengundi sehingga diperoleh siswa kelas IV SDN 11 Sesetan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Sesetan dengan jumlah 30 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dikumpulkan dengan instrumen berupa tes objektif bentuk pilihan ganda biasa yang berjumlah 32 butir tes yang telah divalidasi. Data kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis data diperoleh thitung = 3,52 sedangkan pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 58 diperoleh harga ttabel=2,000 sehingga thitung = 3,52 > ttabel = 2,000. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) berbasis karakter terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Pattimura Denpasar Selatan tahun pelajaran 2017/2018

Abstract

Badung River, a primary irrigation source for the subak system in South Denpasar, has been reported to contain excessive levels of heavy metals, exceeding the standard quality for irrigation water. Corn cultivated on subak systems irrigated by this irrigation source had heavy metal residues in its roots and kernels. Long-term consumption of corn containing heavy metals such as Pb, Cd, Cu, Cr, and Hg will cause toxicity to plant tissues and the human body. This study examined the content of heavy metals in soil and corn plants in subak systems in South Denpasar, which are irrigated with water from the Badung River. Remediation of the soils contaminated by heavy metals was conducted using rice straw and husk biochar (Br), coconut coir and shell biochar (Bc), vegetable and fruit waste biochar (Bw), and lignohumic biochar (Bl). The study also evaluated the effect of applying biochar on growth and yield of corn grown on soils contaminated by heavy metals. The results of this study showed that the heavy metal contents in the soil and irrigation exceeded the threshold for soil and water quality standards. The application of Bl yielded the highest biomass fresh weight and seed weight at 14% moisture content compared to other treatments. The Bl treatment also resulted in the best performance in binding and translocating heavy metals based on the bioaccumulation and translocation values ??of the biochar types. Hence, it can be concluded that the most suitable biochar for the remediation of heavy metal-contaminated paddy soils in subak systems is lignohumic biochar.

Abstract

The Moringa plant (Moringa oleifera L.) is a plant that has many benefits and has long been used by various groups throughout the world. Almost all parts of this magical plant can be used for multiple purposes. Moringa plants spread and adapt to different environments, increasing phenotypic and phytochemical diversity. The research was conducted at three altitudes in Bali, lowlands, medium, and highlands from December 2023–May 2024. The study was conducted to determine differences in morphological characters and phytochemical content of Moringa plants. This research used UPGMA analysis to determine the relationship based on morphological characters, flavonoids, tannins, and vitamin E using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, while the antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method. The results of the identification of morphological characters showed differences in qualitative characters, which were seen in leaf color and flower color, while quantitative characters were seen in leaf length, leaf thickness, pod length, and number of seeds. Nine Moringa accessions showed differences in phytochemical content. The highest flavonoid and vitamin E content in the lowlands are (599.961 mg QE/100 g) and (599.961 mg QE/100 g), tannins in the medium plains (368.140 mg TAE/100 g), and the highest IC50 in the highlands (54.94 ppm).

Abstract

Tanah pertanian di Subak Kerdung terindikasi mengalami pencemaran logam berat. Pencemaran tanah yang terjadi dapat disebabkan oleh penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida berlebih selama proses budidaya serta akibat kontaminan logam berat yang terkandung pada aliran air. Untuk meminimalisir kontaminan logam berat yang diserap tanaman dan tanah serta meningkatkan kesuburan tanah, diperlukan agen pembenah tanah berupa biochar. Biochar berbahan limbah pisang dapat menjadi suatu alternatif bahan bakunya karena mudah didapat dan efektif dalam menanggulangi logam berat. Penelitian dilakukan di rumah kaca, kebun percobaan Universitas Udayana dalam rentang waktu tiga bulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas biochar limbah pisang dalam meningkatkan variabel kesuburan pada sampel tanah yang diambil dari Subak Kerdung. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan metode eksperimen, yakni rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) tersarang 2 faktor dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicoba adalah jenis dan dosis limbah pisang sebagai bahan pembuat biochar. Jenis limbah pisang yang digunakan terdiri atas empat taraf, yaitu biochar batang pisang (Bt), biochar kulit buah pisang (Kl), biochar tandan buah pisang (Tn), dan biochar campuran (batang pisang+ kulit buah pisang+ tandan buah pisang) (Cam) serta kontrol (tanpa pemberian biochar). Sedangkan, dosis biochar juga terdiri atas empat taraf, yaitu 0t.ha-1 (D0), 5t.ha-1 (D1), 10t.ha-1 (D2), dan 15t.ha-1 (D3). Variabel kimia tanah yang diuji meliputi C-organik, N total, KTK, kadar air, dan pH tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan biochar kulit buah pisang dosis 5t.ha-1 dapat meningkatkan nilai C-organik tanah secara maksimal, biochar batang pisang dosis 15t.ha-1 dapat meningkatkan nilai N-total dan kadar air secara maksimal, dan pengaplikasian biochar batang pisang dosis 5t.ha-1 dapat meningkatkan nilai KTK secara maksimal dibandingkan dengan tanah tanpa biochar.

Abstract

Farmers have applied fertilization but have not achieved optimal vegetative growth of Tejakula tangerine plants. This study aims to find a combination of fertilization packages that can provide the best response to vegetative growth and improve the soil quality of Tejakula tangerine plants after moving to the field. The research was conducted in Tembok Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency, Bali from  July to December 2023. The experiment used a one-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with fertilization package treatment consisting of 3 levels, namely: 5 kg cow manure per tree, 5 kg cow manure + mycorrhizal biofertilizer 20 spores/50 g volcanic sand carrier + probiotic liquid organic fertilizer 20% concentration per tree and 5 kg cow manure + urea 50 g + SP-36 25 g + KCl 20 g per tree. Each treatment was repeated 8 times, resulting in 24 experimental units. Observational data were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test, and further tests were carried out using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results showed that the fertilizer package treatment had a very significant effect on the variable number of primary branches and leaf P nutrient content, significantly affected the variable number of plant stem diameter and leaf chlorophyll content, but had no significant effect on the variable number of plant height, relative water content (RWC) of leaves and leaf color. The package of cow manure + inorganic fertilizer influenced the vegetative growth of Tejakula tangerine after transplanting to the field very significantly on the increase in primary branches, significantly influenced the increase in plant stem diameter and leaf chlorophyll content. The organic fertilization package + mycorrhizal biofertilizer + probiotic liquid organic fertilizer can improve the soil quality of Tejakula tangerine plants.

Abstract

Pulukan Village, located in the Jembrana Regency of Bali, is one of the primary communities that produce organic cocoa. The huge demand for organic cocoa beans has not been satisfied due to the poor production per hectare. One of the causes is that cocoa farmers in the village have trouble obtaining the recommended volumes of organic fertilizers and biopesticides. To raise the yield of organic cocoa, this service is provided to farmers to enhance their knowledge and ability to create organic fertilizers and biopesticides from local components. The activities are implemented through counselling and training on producing organic fertilizers and biopesticides, followed by support in applying organic fertilizers and biopesticides. Participants in training and mentoring are encouraged to work together and learn concurrently. The implementation of the counselling on the production of organic fertilizers and biopesticides was excellent, as indicated by the fact that 93.33 per cent of participants said they comprehended the material presented very well, and 100 percent said it was fascinating and very beneficial. Participants could produce excellent organic fertilizers and biopesticides due to training activities involving direct practice. As a result of training in plots, organic fertilizers, and biopesticides can improve farmers' ability to directly implement fertilizing methods and disease pest management in organic cocoa farming. Applying organic fertilizers and biopesticides in the plot revealed that cocoa trees treated with organic fertilizers and biopesticides had greater growth and fewer disease-causing insect infestations than control trees.This motivated the service volunteers to implement the plot's best practices on their organic cocoa crops.
