Abstract

Mengelola korespondensi dalam suatu perusahaan merupakan bagian terpenting dari proses manajemen. Dalam situasi ini, manajemen surat-menyurat di Kantor Kecamatan Jagakarsa dipengaruhi oleh sistem tata persuratan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan analisis dan perancangan surat masuk dan surat keluar sehingga administrasi surat-menyurat akan menjadi lebih mudah, cepat, dan efisien. Metode pengembangan System yang digunakan adalah SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) dengan model proses waterfall. Hasil penelitian ini berupa aplikasi pengarsipan surat berbasis web yang dapat mengurangi penggunaan kertas, mengurangi kesalahan pencatatan, mempercepat proses pengarsipan dan disposisi surat, dan membuatnya lebih mudah digunakan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Net Working Capital (NWC), dan Investment Opportunities (IOS) terhadap Cash Holding pada sub perusahaan sektor transportasi darat yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2021-2023. Total populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 18 perusahaan transportasi darat yang diamati selama 3 tahun, sehingga total 54 pengamatan. Analisis data menggunakan metode regresi linier ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel independen tersebut secara bersamaan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Cash Holding.

Abstract

The problem faced by the Jambi Regional Office of the Ministry of Law related to news portals is that the existing systemis ineffective in presenting the latest and relevant legal information to the public. The old system has disadvantages suchas a less intuitive interface, many features that confuse users, and the absence of interactive features that can involve thepublic in discussions of evolving legal issues. In addition, this portal lacks the legal information needed by the public. Thepurpose of this research is to design and develop a web-based news portal system that can provide up-to-date and relevantlegal information for the people in Jambi Province, with a focus on presenting legal news that is easily accessible andunderstandable. This system aims to replace the old system that has limitations. The methods used in this study includeanalysis of existing systems, data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, and system design usingUML (Unified Modeling Language). The system is tested using the black-box method to ensure that all features runaccording to the set objectives. The results show that the new news portal system can present legal information moreeffectively with features such as news searches, news categories, and interaction between admins and users. This system isexpected to increase transparency, legal literacy, and provide better access for the public to accurate and up-to-date legalinformation.

Abstract

People all around the globe has recognized that English is now used as its lingua franca. It means that English has been used as a means to communicate in every aspect of situation among people who do not share the same first language. This phenomenon is being analyzed by linguists, so that the term English as an International Language, English as a Lingua Franca, or World English(es) emerge and become an interesting topic to be discussed, especially how teacher should interpret and how it could affect their belief and their behavior in teaching and learning classroom. However, there are found that some English teacher is still unfamiliar with this term and how it can influence teaching behavior. This article aims to accommodate those missing part and gives more enlightenment to the English teacher about ELF phenomenon.

Abstract

In 2020, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia published the newest curriculum, Kurikulum Merdeka, which demands EFL teachers implement a genre-based approach during teaching and learning. In response to this call, this research aimed to investigate the implementation of a genre-based approach to enhance EFL pre-service English teacher students’ speaking ability. This research employed classroom action research to investigate whether the approach could improve students’ speaking ability. This research was conducted at STKIP Al Hikmah Surabaya, and the participants of the research were selected through purposive sampling. In order to answer the research questions, the researcher used a post-test, an interview, a questionnaire, and an observation as data collection techniques. Furthermore, the interactive data analysis model proposed by Miles and Huberman was implemented to analyze the data. The study concluded that the genre-based approach can improve EFL pre-service English teacher students' capability in speaking. The pre-service English teacher students’ significant enhancement in their speaking capability is exhibited by the generic structure of the descriptive text, such as the social function, the organization, and grammatical features. All informants could fulfill relatively all parts, which is fundamental to composing a descriptive text.

Abstract

The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) provides a basis for developing language education curriculum, conducting language learning and teaching, and administering language assessment. In the Indonesian context, the recently launched Kurikulum Merdeka refers to the CEFR in targeting the English Proficiency levels that should be achieved in English Subject across different schooling levels. Hence, teachers’ understanding and perceptions of the framework become important. This study aimed to examine the pre-service EFL teachers’ perception of the CEFR. A survey using a 5-point Likert Scale questionnaire and semi structured interviews were conducted to collect both quantitative and qualitative data from 49 pre-service EFL teachers who were selected through a random sampling technique. The results showed that the participants had positive perceptions of the CEFR but they had limited to a moderate understanding level of the CEFR. They only received limited CEFR exposure from a course in their teacher training program. They also mostly associated the CEFR with standardized testing and language certification without understanding the underlying principles of the framework. More comprehensive CEFR training for teacher candidates should be considered before Kurikulum Merdeka is compulsorily implemented. Also, the research can play a crucial role in shaping language education by influencing curriculum development, teacher training, policy decisions, quality assurance measures, student outcomes, and ongoing professional development within the field.

Abstract

The tight competition in banking sector has stimulated banks to initiate breakthrough by providing a wide range of banking products and facility to their customers. This undeniably effects the assessment of loan pricing and credit risk. The purpose of this study is to understand the methods used by a bank in loan pricing and credit risk analysis. In addition, this study is aimed to find out whether the effect of the magnitude of inherent risks have a role in determining the credit interest rate. This research employs descriptive qualitative as the research method in which the object under study is PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Malang Kawi Branch Office. This study focuses on the process of credit retail realization, specifically on credit risk assessment. Based on the analysis, the findings show that PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia uses two methods in the analysis of credit  risk. The methods are 5C’s and Credit Risk Rating  (CRR).  It was found that the implementation of the methods were in line with the Basel Principles formulated by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Credit analysis process is also used by the bank as a reference in determining lending rates. Keywords: Credit Bank, Loan Pricing, Credit Risk, Credit Risk Analysis.

Abstract

The aim of research was to figure out pre-service English teachers’ capability, in order to comprehend and to implement the Genre-Based Approach (henceforth, GBA) in EFL classrooms. This study used a qualitative case study approach to investigate the understanding of pre-service English teachers towards the GBA in the Indonesian newest curriculum, called Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum). The research was conducted at Al Hikmah Teacher Institute. Non probability with purposive sampling type is a technique was used to select the participants. Furthermore, for further understanding of the data, some selected participants were interviewed by the researcher. In this study, questionnaires, structured interviews, and document collection were applied as instruments. The interactive model of data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman was adopted in analyse the data. In short, the study revealed three findings, there are; 1) most of the pre-service English teachers (71.5%) of the participants did have not sufficient knowledge; 2) the rest of the participants (28.5%) had sufficient knowledge of the content knowledge (henceforth, CK); and 3) the implementation of the GBA in English Language Teaching (henceforth, ELT).

Abstract

 Sosial structure always shows complex categorization. Wealth and poverty are not only seen as the result of functional interactions in society, but rather sosial dialectics that are continuously understood. This article explores the sosial life of the beggar community, especially focusing on the elaboration of the stigma they face from one side of society, and their efforts to capitalize on the situation of poverty as sosial capital, as work that is done routinely to continue life. The research method used here is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was taken through observation, interviews and documentation studies. This article finds that beggars in their communities face negative stigma, perceived bias, from the local community and the communities where they operate as beggars. However, on the other hand, these beggars feel immune to their sosial status and understand that the poverty they face must be capitalized on as sosial capital to earn a living. Here, this article puts forward the argument that beggars and their poverty must gain an alternative perspective so that this can be used as additional insight in efforts to understand and resolve the problem of poverty.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan masalah serius yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat modern di seluruh dunia. Dibutuhkan pengelolaan yang baik dan berkelanjutan agar tercipta lingkungan yang sehat dan lestari. Pengolahan sampah menjadi eco enzyme memiliki potensi besar untuk mengurangi dampak negative sampah terhadap lingkungan dan menciptakan system yang berkelanjutan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di wilayah dusun Kasihan Tamantirto Bantul. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, minat, dan keahlian masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah organik menjadi eco enzyme. Metode pelaksanaannya mencakup penyampaian ceramah, demonstrasi, dan pelaksanaan praktik. Hasil dari program ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK dusun Kasihan memiliki ketrampilan dalam pengolahan sampah menajdi eco enzyme.
