Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang sejarah dan perkembangan Masjid Jaya ar-Rahman Bingai yang merupakan masjid bersejarah peninggalan Kejuruan Bingai. Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Fokus utama artikel ini ialah melihat bagaimana sejarah dan perkembangan Masjid Jaya ar-Rahman Bingai, terutama dalam bidang sosial dan keagamaan di sekitaran Langkat dan Bingai. Masjid ini didirikan oleh Tengku Abdul Rani bergelar Kejeruan Sri Amar Setia pada tahun 1889 M. Masjid ini berarsitektur Melayu dan menjadi salah satu masjid tertua yang ada di Kabupaten Langkat. Pada masa lalu, masjid ini menjadi pusat kegiatan keagamaan dan sosial di wilayah Bingai. Bahkan, masjid ini juga dijadikan sebagai tempat bermusyawarah para pembesar Kesultanan Langkat dan Kejuruan Bingai. Posisi masjid ini menghadap ke arah Sungai Wampu dan sering dijadikan sebagai tempat transit para pedagang yang melewati sungai tersebut. Saat ini kondisi masjid tersebut masih berdiri kokoh dan tetap menjadi ikon kebanggaan masyarakat Langkat umumnya, dan masyarakat Bingai khususnya.

Abstract

Salah satu dampak dari Pandemi Covid-19 yaitu perubahan aktivitas harian masyarakat, terutama pada anak dan remaja. Hal tersebut berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan dan kesejahteraan mental anak-anak, yang menyebabkan berbagai macam masalah kesehatan mental. Beberapa anak dan remaja mungkin lebih rentan dibandingkan dengan yang lain terhadap efek psikososial pada saat pandemi. Karena mereka berada dalam masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran kesehatan mental remaja di Kelurahanan Nelayan Indah Kecamatan Medan Labuhan. Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan deksriptif kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebesar 210 responden dengan Metode Accidental Sampling. Kuesioner yang digunakan merupakan kuesioner Self Reporting Questioneire 20 yang sudah diterjemahkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebesar 28,6% dari responden yang memiliki  kesehatan mental yang buruk. Beberapa jenis gangguan kesehatan mental yang banyak terjadi pada masa remaja dapat menimbulkan kondisi  negatif seperti kecemasan, depresi, stress bahkan memicu munculnya gangguan psikotik bahkan kematian. Kesehatan jiwa remaja merupakan hal  sangat penting dalam menentukan kualitas suatu bangsa.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify variables that influence early childhood language development. A literature review approach was used in this study to determine the elements that influence early childhood language development. The findings of this study indicate that language development in early childhood begins at birth and develops through experience and expertise. The language and communication development of early childhood is greatly influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include genetic characteristics, gender, health, and intelligence. External factors include social relationships, parental education, family economic status, and family dynamics. The role of counseling guidance in early childhood language development is to help children develop language and communication skills, identify and overcome children's language difficulties, provide support and guidance to parents, integrate language guidance programs into learning activities, and monitor children's language development and provide intervention if necessary.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja yang menjadi penyebab rendahnya minat baca mahasiswa di perpustakaan ITEKES Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Barat serta mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pustakawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tiga metode, yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menelusuri berbagai aspek yang memengaruhi rendahnya minat baca mahasiswa, mencakup faktor internal seperti rutinitas membaca, tingkat motivasi, dan ketersediaan waktu, serta faktor eksternal seperti sarana perpustakaan, mutu layanan, dan kondisi lingkungan baca. Data dianalisis melalui upaya tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk menjamin keabsahan data, dilakukan perpanjangan pengamatan, validasi kepada informan (member check), serta triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perpustakaan ITEKES Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Barat memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk dan mengembangkan budaya literasi di lingkungan akademik, khususnya dalam mendorong kebiasaan membaca di kalangan mahasiswa. Namun, peran ini belum sepenuhnya optimal akibat berbagai kendala yang berasal dari faktor internal mahasiswa maupun faktor eksternal yang berkaitan dengan fasilitas dan layanan perpustakaan. Selain itu, pustakawan mengalami hambatan berupa keterbatasan koleksi buku yang relevan dan minimnya tenaga pendukung. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi acuan dalam merancang strategi sebagai upaya mendorong berkembangnya budaya literasi di kalangan sivitas akademika di wilayah perguruan tinggi.Kata Kunci: Minat Baca, Mahasiswa, Perpustakaan, Literasi, Pustakawan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of human resource competency on the success of implementing the Regional Government Information System (SIPD) and its impact on the quality of financial reports at Uptd Pelayanan Sosial Dinas Sosial Provinsi Sumatera Utara. This research was conducted at Uptd Pelayanan Sosial Dinas Sosial Provinsi Sumatera Utara.The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The research informants consisted of structural officials, SIPD operators, planning staff, and senior employees who are directly involved in the implementation of SIPD. The findings indicate that technical competence, system knowledge, and work attitudes have a significant influence on the successful implementation of SIPD. The main obstacles identified include the lack of specific training, limited digital infrastructure, differences in perceptions among operators, and resistance from senior employees toward new technologies. The implementation of SIPD has not yet been fully optimized, as there are still discrepancies in data input, errors in planning logic, and a low level of understanding of the system workflow. Therefore, strategies to strengthen human resource competencies are required, including intensive training programs, continuous technical assistance, standardization of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the enhancement of digital culture. This study confirms that the quality of human resources is a fundamental foundation for the success of digital government initiatives at the regional level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of audit tenure on audit quality at PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022–2024 period. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative research method. The data used are secondary data obtained from the company’s annual reports and financial statements. Data collection was conducted through documentation, while sample selection used purposive sampling. The data analysis method applied was simple linear regression to examine the effect of audit tenure on audit quality. The results indicate that audit tenure has a significant effect on audit quality, suggesting that the length of the relationship between the auditor and the client has implications for the quality of audit outcomes. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of accounting literature and serve as a consideration for regulators and companies in determining auditor engagement policies to maintain audit quality.

Abstract

Prolonged labor in the first stage is defined as an extended latent phase and an extended active phase. The latent phase is considered prolonged when cervical dilation remains less than 4 cm after 8 hours of regular uterine contractions (more than two contractions within 10 minutes). Meanwhile, a prolonged active phase refers to inadequate cervical dilation progress after the diagnosis of the active phase of the first stage has been established, characterized by cervical dilation of less than 1 cm per hour for at least 2 hours despite ongoing labor progress, and a total duration exceeding 12 hours from 4 cm dilation to complete cervical dilation. Women experiencing prolonged labor are at increased risk of postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine atony, birth canal lacerations, infection, maternal exhaustion, and shock. For the fetus, prolonged labor elevates the risk of severe asphyxia, cerebral trauma, infection, and injury resulting from obstetric interventions. This study aimed to determine the effect of the birth ball intervention on the progress of labor during the active phase of the first stage. A quasi-experimental research design was employed, assessing the duration of the active phase of the first stage of labor using an observation sheet. The study utilized a two-group posttest-only design. The intervention group received the birth ball method, while the control group engaged in light ambulation within the room. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate approaches. Normality was assessed using the Shapiro–Wilk test, and hypothesis testing was performed using the independent samples t-test. The results of the bivariate analysis using the t-test revealed a p-value of 0.005 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the intervention and control groups in terms of progress during the active phase of the first stage of labor. The mean duration of the active phase in the control group tended to be longer than that in the intervention group. This study demonstrates that the birth ball intervention has a significant effect on the progress of labor during the active phase of the first stage.

Abstract

Bir pletok herbal medicine is a traditional drink that has not been widely developed in the Samirejo area, even though it has great potential as an herbal drink that uses spices that are good for health. The lack of public understanding about the benefits and how to make bir pletok herbal medicine is one of the reasons why this traditional drink is not widely used. This community service activity aims to find out how the people of Samirejo Village view jamu bir pletok after consuming it and after receiving an explanation of its benefits and how to make it. The method used is descriptive quantitative, using structured interviews with 50 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. The variables measured included perceptions of taste, health benefits, effects after drinking, and interest in consuming it again. Data analysis was performed descriptively, using means, medians, and percentages. The results showed that the community had a positive view of bir pletok herbal medicine, liked its taste, felt the health benefits it provided, and were very interested in buying it again. The education provided helped the community understand how to process and utilize bir pletok herbal medicine as a local traditional herbal drink with further development potential.

Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas utama Indonesia yang memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap ekonomi nasional. Namun, di balik potensi ekonominya, industri ini menghadapi tantangan lingkungan dan sosial yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak kelapa sawit terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat, serta mengeksplorasi solusi untuk pengelolaan yang lebih berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber sekunder, termasuk jurnal ilmiah, laporan pemerintah, dan dokumen organisasi non-pemerintah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ekspansi kelapa sawit telah menyebabkan deforestasi, degradasi lahan, serta konflik sosial, terutama terkait kepemilikan lahan dan hak-hak masyarakat adat. Solusi yang diusulkan dalam literatur meliputi penerapan sertifikasi keberlanjutan, seperti RSPO dan ISPO, serta penggunaan teknologi modern untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanpa merusak lingkungan. Diperlukan kolaborasi antara pemerintah, industri, dan masyarakat untuk memastikan kelapa sawit dapat dikelola secara berkelanjutan dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan yang inklusif

Abstract

Indonesia’s rapid population growth presents a significant challenge to national welfare and public health. One of the key strategies implemented by the government to address this issue is the Family Planning (FP) program, which emphasizes the use of modern contraceptive methods. However, the utilization of these methods remains uneven across provinces. This study aims to cluster Indonesian provinces based on the number of active participants using modern contraceptive methods in 2023 by applying the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering algorithm. FCM was selected due to its ability to handle overlapping data characteristics, allowing for a more flexible and representative analysis. The clustering results reveal two main clusters: Cluster 1, which consists of provinces with high levels of active modern contraceptive users, and Cluster 2, which includes provinces with low participation levels. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for more targeted policy formulation to enhance the equity and effectiveness of the FP program across the country.
