Abstract

Along with the increase in innovation in the 4.0 era, students are expected to be able to follow the progress of science and innovation. Advances in data technology in higher education have developed so that students must know about the various applications provided by data specialist cooperatives. Therefore, with the rapid development of information technology, tools have emerged that make it easier for students, lecturers and researchers to find references and compile a bibliography. Writing a scientific thesis as a final assignment requirement to take exams for students of the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) Tadulako University still often finds bibliographies compiled manually. This makes it difficult for students, and it takes quite a long time to write a thesis because they have to write down the quotations one by one so that sometimes something is left out. Therefore, the community service team offers references using the Mendeley application, which is important because it makes it easier for students to make good references and bibliography and can limit plagiarism. The purpose of this activity is to improve the ability of final-year students at FKIP Tadulako University to use the Mendeley application to facilitate the preparation of the final project. This activity was carried out in April s.d. October 2022 at the Media Centre Universitas Tadulako. Based on the results of community service activities, it was found that 85% of Tadulako University FKIP final semester students who participated in community service activities could use Mendeley for scientific writing.

Abstract

The paper reports the experiment in the laboratory in making FTO by employing spray pyrolysis methods, its application in DSSC, and its implementation in physics learning. The methodology in this research was mixed methods (experiment and qualitative methods). The experimental section was conducted by dissolving SnCl2.2H2O and NH4F in 96% alcohol and then depositioned on a glass substrate on a hotplate with a temperature of 450◦C using an Omron NE-C28 nebulizer. Spraying was carried out for 20 minutes then characterized morphology (SEM), content (EDS), crystal structure (XRD), transmittance (UV-VIS), and voltage-current (IV). Based on investigations using Scanning Electron Microscopy and Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy, it is known that transparent conductive SnO2:F particles have been formed. By using XRD, Nanometer-sized crystalline particles have also been identified. Furthermore, the FTO electrode is utilized as an electrode on DSSC and its performance is measured. In the qualitative section, students and researchers were interviewed about the physical aspect of the FTO fabrication process. Then, interview results were used to design laboratory physics learning.

Abstract

The Mendeley application is a supporting tool for writers creating manuscripts for publication. Teachers need publications to improve their career path, especially achieving credit scores for promotion to functional positions. This program aims to train teachers in using the Mendeley application to make it easier to create publication manuscripts. Training activities were carried out by presenting ten teachers from PGRI Palu City, Central Sulawesi and two trainers. At the first meeting on July 23 2022, the teachers' ability to use this application was identified, and it was found that almost all teachers needed to be proficient in using it. Training is then carried out using presentation, demonstration, practice and question-and-answer methods. Next, three trainers guided the participants to recognize and apply their obtained information. At the second meeting on July 26 2022, participants completed citations on the manuscript created using the Mendeley application. Assistance is provided by the service team in language that is easily understood by the participants and immediately produces output in the form of a script. This training activity was carried out over two meetings, and the results of the final evaluation showed that the participants who were initially unable to use the Mendeley application (pretest) were then able to use the Mendeley Program well (posttest). It is hoped that the implications of this activity will help participants prepare research results manuscripts to help collect credit.
