Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of the local people of Sidera regarding the use of solar cells as alternative energy. The data in the study were obtained through a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire and interviews. The questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire consists of 22 statement items and was followed by interviews with selected respondents. Data analysis in this study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Based on the results of research that has been done by researchers, the percentage of respondents' answers to questions about the knowledge of the people of Sidera about solar cells as an alternative energy given is 64% strongly agree, 25% agree and 11% doubtful. It can be concluded that the knowledge of residents about the use of solar cells as alternative energy in Sidera Village was good. As for the aspects used to determine the understanding of the Sidera community about the use of solar cells as alternative energy, including knowledge about solar cells (66% chose to agree), understanding about solar cells (70% chose to agree), how to use solar cells (80% chose to agree). strongly agree), the advantages of using solar cells (82% strongly agree), and the role of weather (86% strongly agree).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine, analyze and describe the concept understanding of 11th graders IPA SMA/MA on temperature and heat. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. Respondents examined 21 students who were selected based on the consideration that the class had studied the material of temperature and heat. Analysis of the data through a concept understanding test of 5 questions that were adjusted and validated by expert judgment. The results showed that the proportion of students' overall concept understanding was 54.76%. The percentage of understanding on the first item was 38.09%, the second item was 66.67%, the third item was 63.09%, the fourth item was 50%, and the fifth item was 58.33%. This shows that the understanding of the concepts of 11th grade students in natural science class in high school on temperature and heat was still low. For this reason, it is necessary to pay more attention and remediation on physics topics, especially on the concept of temperature and heat because it affects the other concepts understanding.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look at the differences between the contextual approach assisted by teaching aids and the scientific approach to creative thinking skills. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was all students of class X SMA Negeri 5 Palu. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with the research sample being class X MIPA 5 as the experimental group 1 and class X MIPA 6 as the experimental group 2. The instrument for students' creative thinking skills was in the form of an essay test that had been validated through construction validity. The test of students' creative thinking skills obtained showed that the average score of the experimental group was 50.65%. Where this result is lower than the control group, which is 52.79%. Hypothesis test T-test (two parties), obtained t_count = -1.21 and t_0.975 = 2.02 at the level of significance = 0.05. This means that the value of t_count is in the reception area of ​​H_0. It is concluded that there is no difference between the contextual approach assisted by teaching aids and the scientific approach to creative thinking skills

Abstract

This study aims to determine the obstacles to online learning of physics subjects in secondary schools during the COVID-19 pandemic in Palu City. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research with survey methods using data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires. The questionnaire was made online through a Google Form containing 24 statements to 368 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the biggest obstacles experienced by students during online learning of physics subjects are indicators of student motivation and interest, student participation, and economic constraints.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the worthiness of learning video by using sign language developed and to know the student's response to it on simple machine materials to help deaf students. The research used Research and Development (R & D) with the Brog and Gall model. The learning video developed on simple machine materials is worthy of helping deaf students with material aspects in good category media aspects, and very good sign languange aspects. The response of deaf students to the learning video developed on simple machine materials is in very good categories.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results obtained from the fabrication of Fluorine Doped-Tin Oxide (FTO) glass using the Spray Pyrolysis technique. This research is experimental-laboratory. The method used in the manufacture of FTO glass is the spray pyrolysis method to deposit ordinary glass as conductive and transparent FTO glass. The tools and materials used in this research are the OMRON NE-C28 Nebulizer, Digital Ultrasonic Cleaner, Digital Balance, Magnetic Stirrer, Heating Plate (Thermo Scientific Hot Plate), Aluminum Foil, Hoses and Funnels, Statives and Clamps, Glass Substrate, Tin (II) Chloride Dihydrate (SnCl2.2H2O), Ammonium Fluoride (NH4F), Ethanol 96%. The results of the research that have been carried out show that the Ultrasonic Nebulizer is recommended as a tool for making Fluorine-doped Tin Oxide (FTO) thin films on a laboratory scale. The test results of microscopic properties (SEM and XRD), electrical properties (Current and Voltage), and resistance showed that the distance of the spray nozzle to the substrate affects the resistance value of the sample being tested. The closer the distance is given, the thickness of the thin layer increases, so that the electrical resistance decreases. However, a layer that is too thick affects the transparency of the glass. So there must be a balance between electrical resistance and transparency. The results of the optimal transparent conductive glass fabrication in this study were obtained at a distance of 11.5 cm with a temperature of 4500C in 50 minutes, which is 1286.8 Ω.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan minat belajar siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode berbasis kasus materi keseimbangan benda tegar di kelas XI SMAN 1 Sojol. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan metode campuran (mixed methods). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA C SMA Negeri 1 Sojol sebanyak 25 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui pengisian angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode berbasis kasus materi keseimbangan benda tegar di kelas XI tergolong dalam kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa perasaan senang, perhatian siswa, ketertarikan siswa dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis kasus mendorong siswa untuk aktif dan sungguh-sungguh dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Tidak hanya mendengarkan penjelasan guru namun siswa juga dilatih menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan materi pembelajaran sebagai evaluasi pembelajaran. Hal tersebut menjadi faktor siswa memiliki minat belajar siswa yang baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menghasilkan desain alat praktikum pengukur debit air menggunakan sensor flow berbasis Arduino Uno pada materi Fluida Dinamis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen laboratorium dengan desain penelitian diadaptasi dari Sugiyono. Adapun untuk mengetahui kelayakan alat praktikum tersebut maka dilakukan pengamatan sebanyak lima kali. Alat praktikum ini terdiri dari beberapa komponen utama, yaitu sensor flow untuk mengukur laju aliran air, mikrokontroler Arduino Uno sebagai unit pengolahan data, dan layar LCD untuk menampilkan hasil pengukuran. Dalam proses penggunaan alat praktikum ini, sensor flow mendeteksi laju aliran air dan mengirimkan sinyal pulsa ke Arduino, yang kemudian diolah menjadi data waktu dan volume aliran. Data ini ditampilkan pada layar LCD, memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengamati perubahan debit air secara langsung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain alat praktikum tersebut mampu mengukur debit air, dengan rata-rata kesalahan pengukuran yang rendah dan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alat bantu dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Arduino Uno-based Tactual Audio Electrical Circuit KIT tool and test its implementation in training the mathematical thinking skills of visually impaired students on Ohm's Law material. The problem identified is the difficulty of visually impaired students in conducting experiments and mathematical calculations on Ohm's Law material. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a KIT Tool utilizing Arduino Uno to produce sound output in the form of a guide to assembling electrical circuits and electrical measurement results. This research uses the 4D model Research and Development (R&D) method with Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate steps. This research produced a Tactual Audio Electrical Circuit KIT equipped with audio counting aids to facilitate filling out Student Worksheets (LKS) on Ohm's Law experiments. Expert validation and empirical trials were conducted to ensure the feasibility of KIT in learning. The Arduino Uno-based Tactual Audio Electrical Circuit KIT is effective in helping visually impaired students understand the concept of Ohm's Law and train their mathematical thinking skills. This research contributes to the development of technology-based inclusive learning media and can be an inspiration for teachers in improving the quality of education for visually impaired students. It can be concluded that the tactual audio electrical circuit KIT produced received a positive response from the teacher with an average score of 4.22 with the standard "very good". The average score of students' responses to the tool is 4.58 with the category "very good". Thus, the Arduino Uno-based Tactual Audio Electrical Circuit KIT on Ohm's Law Material developed is suitable for use as a learning medium and can train the mathematical abilities of visually impaired students.
