Abstract

As part of the annual community service to help improve the school students' English skills, Technocrat Foreign Language School Tangerang conducted a community service in The Four State Vocational High School in Tangerang Regency, Banten. The English training emphasized improving the students' English communicative skills and their interest in practicing the language. The survey research, which succeeded in the training, indicated some important findings, such as the positive perceptions toward the English training, the perceived importance of English for the student's future careers, the importance of English subjects/courses in higher education as well as in employment. Specifically, the role of English in the hospitality, service, retail, and creative industry will be imperative. Of the four skills, speaking was deemed the most important skill to learn for employment. Concerning their future career, the students expected to have a non-English teaching career after graduating from college. The present study attempted to highlight the issue of the English training, potential employability, and the perceived important skill needed by the vocational high school graduates so that they can have more chances to work in the above industries. Further study should identifiy more skills specifically needed in the above industries so that the amount of unemployment from vocational high school graduates can be reduced.

Abstract

As the smallest government unit, villages play a crucial role in managing data and information related to the population and village development activities. However, Simongagrok Village still uses manual methods for data management and information dissemination to the community. This creates various obstacles, such as slow access to information, lack of transparency, and difficulties in monitoring development programs. To address these issues, the planning and creation of a Village Information System (SID) website with a village profile is an effective solution. The purpose of this community service is to design and develop a SID website for the village to document activities, present village profile information, process population data, document activities, and digitally disseminate public information. Quantitative methods are used. The result of this community service is a SID website with key features such as demographic data management, public service information, village news, and development activity documentation. This website is expected to improve the quality of village government services, facilitate public access to information, and encourage transparency and public participation in village development.

Abstract

Determining the quality of oil palm Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) quickly and accurately is very important in the grading process to ensure the quality of production results and the efficiency of the post-harvest process. This study aims to evaluate the quality of oil palm FFB non-destructive using thermal image technology, focusing on two main parameters: moisture content and oil content. The oil palm FFB used was the Tenera variety. Thermal characteristic data were obtained from the RGB pseudo color thermal images and the oil palm FFB temperature. The model obtained using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) showed that the calibration model for moisture content produced a linear regression equation y = 0.9826x + 0.7159 (R² = 0.9827), and for oil content y = 0.9962x + 0.0289 (R² = 0.9973). At the validation stage, the moisture content prediction model gave y = 0.9056x + 10.721 (R² = 0.8908), and oil content y = 0.7683x + 1.6494 (R² = 0.8567). These results indicated that thermal imaging technology has great potential as an efficient and accurate non-destructive method in evaluating the quality of oil palm FFB, especially in supporting a more objective and sustainable grading system.

Abstract

Purpose: imongagrok Village, Mojokerto, faces limitations in population data collection, transparency, public services, and access to information owing to the conventional administrative system. The lack of technology use causes slow information delivery and low community participation in village government. This service aims to strengthen the governance of Simongagrok Village by creating an interactive and informative website to increase transparency and public services. Methodology: The service activity was conducted in Simongagrok village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto, on October 9 and 30, 2024. The methods used included needs analysis, website development, village apparatus training, and evaluation of implementation effectiveness. The developed website has key features such as village information, online administration services, budget transparency, community aspiration forums, and local business directories. Results: Village websites enhance information access, budget transparency, administrative services, and two-way communication to support modern and accountable governance. Conclusions: The Simongagrok Village website has succeeded in increasing transparency, accelerating access to information, and simplifying administrative services in the village. Limitations: The low digital literacy of the community, limited Internet access in some areas, and lack of trained human resources to manage the village website sustainably. Contribution: This service activity is beneficial for village governance in Simongagrok, especially in the fields of e-government, information technology, and community participation, and can be applied in other rural areas to increase the transparency and efficiency of public services.

Abstract

Transformasi digital menjadi salah satu faktor kunci dalam memperkuat daya saing Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di era ekonomi global yang semakin kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kebijakan pemerintah daerah dalam mendorong digitalisasi UMKM melalui aplikasi Transaksi Produk Unggulan Mojokerto Berkualitas (TUMBAS) di Desa Simongagrok, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif dengan proses reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi TUMBAS telah memberikan dampak positif bagi pelaku UMKM, antara lain peningkatan akses pasar, efisiensi pemasaran, dan pertumbuhan pendapatan, meskipun masih menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan literasi digital, sumber daya manusia, dan infrastruktur pendukung. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan digitalisasi UMKM memerlukan sinergi antara pemerintah daerah, pelaku usaha, dan masyarakat, serta optimalisasi strategi pendampingan dan pelatihan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Limau Manis Village as Kampung Manggis is supported by the production of mangosteen in Padang City which is number 2 (two) in West Sumatra and 80% of mangosteen in Padang City comes from Pauh Subdistrict, with the center being in Limau Manis Village and the existence of Kampung Manggis brings hope for the community to improve their economy and will have an impact on the economy of the Padang City community. The skin of mangosteen fruit can be processed into value-added products. However, farmers and local businesses still face several challenges, such as the lack of knowledge and technology to process mangosteen peels into economically valuable products. Abundant mangosteen peels during the harvest season are often discarded or burned, causing environmental impacts such as soil and air pollution. However, due to the lack of public knowledge on mangosteen peel processing as waste, an innovative solution is needed to turn mangosteen peel waste into a new source of income through the development of competitive derivative products. This community service activity is designed as a strategic step to empower the community, optimize local potential, and build an innovative, sustainable mangosteen agroindustry, creating value-added products and improving the economic welfare of the community. In addition, this activity is also expected to be a model of agroindustry development based on local potential that can be developed. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training in improving the knowledge, skills of the community in processing mangosteen skin, increasing the added value of mangosteen skin into mangosteen skin tea and mangosteen skin syrup products that have a broad impact on economic, social and environmental improvement.

Abstract

This paper will conduct a criminological study of the determination of the UMK based on the KHL, productivity and taking into account economic growth, which raises problems. First, there is a "push and pull" between workers and employers in calculating a decent UMK; and second, there are demands for an increase in the UMK every year followed by large-scale demonstrations from the district to the provincial level with threats and anarchic actions so that a solution is needed for the determination of the UMK in the future.

Abstract

Lembaga atau organisasi pendidikan yang menyelenggarakan kegiatan pendidikan di dalam sekolah disebut sekolah. Selain itu, terdapat ruang lab komputer yang dapat digunakan sebagai wadah atau tempat praktik. Akibatnya, ruang lab perlu diamankan. Jika dibandingkan dengan teknologi yang ada saat ini, pengamanan yang hanya dilakukan secara manual atau konvensional sangatlah tidak praktis. Keamanan di ruang pribadi atau laboratorium sekolah adalah salah satunya. Rancangan sistem keamanan ruang lab berbasis Esp-32 Cam dan Telegram menjadi tujuan dari penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini akan memberikan manfaat serta keamanan yang lebih kepada pengguna di sekolah. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan Metode waterfall jenis penelitan ini adalah Penelitian experiment, hasil dari alat yang di uji coba semua alat atau perangkat pengaman ruang lab yaitu Esp-32cam dan beberapa komponen lainnya dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Dari hasil pengujian menggunakan 2 cara yaitu cara pertama dengan menggunakan pesan perintah dan cara ke dua menggunakan deteksi gerakan.
