Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a major staple crop, and black rice is increasingly valued for its nutritional and economic importance. In South Sumatra, Indonesia, rainfed lowland swamp ecosystems offer substantial potential for rice cultivation, but productivity is constrained by alternating flooding and drought stress. The introgression of the Sub1 gene provides tolerance to submergence and supports the development of adaptive black rice cultivars. This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performance of six black rice lines carrying the Sub1 gene under rainfed lowland conditions. The experiment was conducted using a randomized complete block design with three replications. Agronomic traits, including phenology, tillering, yield components, and grain yield, were recorded and analyzed using analysis of variance, correlation, and principal component analysis (PCA). Significant differences among genotypes were observed for most agronomic traits, indicating substantial genetic variability. Regita5 and Febry1 showed superior performance, producing the highest grain yields of 3.53 and 3.37 t/ha, respectively, supported by higher numbers of productive tillers and filled grains per panicle. Correlation and PCA results revealed that grain yield was primarily influenced by tillering capacity and grain production traits, whereas 100-grain weight and phenological traits contributed weakly or negatively. These findings demonstrate that black rice lines carrying the Sub1 gene, particularly Regita5 and Febry1, possess strong agronomic potential for cultivation and as breeding materials in stress-prone swamp ecosystems, contributing to sustainable rice production under climate variability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the socialization of strengthening Pancasila values and its role in the formation of youth identity based on local wisdom at SMPN 17 Palangka Raya. The main background of this research is the issue of weakening understanding of the state ideology and the erosion of local cultural values among students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and community leaders, as well as analysis of relevant school program documents. The results show that the socialization of Pancasila values, when integrated with Dayak local wisdom (such as the Huma Betang concept which emphasizes togetherness, tolerance, and mutual cooperation), successfully creates a more contextual and relevant understanding for students. Effective strategies include intra-curricular learning through Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) subjects, as well as extracurricular activities involving the direct practice of local wisdom values. The formation of youth identity at SMPN 17 Palangka Raya is reinforced by a sense of pride in their own culture, as well as the ability to internalize the universal values of Pancasila. This strengthening not only enhances students' nationalism but also encourages attitudes of tolerance and mutual cooperation in daily life. The conclusion of this study is that the integration of Pancasila and local wisdom is an effective model in addressing identity challenges in the era of globalization, bridging national values with local cultural roots. Abstract

Squeeze cementing is a secondary cementing method used to overcome loss circulation problems and improve well integrity. This study aims to evaluate the squeeze cementing design in the “TOKAI” well, “PALMA” field using the bradenhead method. The methodology includes well data analysis, cement slurry requirement calculations, and evaluation of job performance based on pressure testing. The bradenhead method was selected due to its operational simplicity and because it does not require a packer. The calculation results indicate that 44 sacks of cement are required to produce 9.02 bbl of slurry, including a 2 bbl squeeze volume. The evaluation shows that the squeeze cementing operation was successful, indicated by a stable positive pressure test and the presence of fluid return. This method is proven effective in isolating perforation zones experiencing loss circulation.
