Abstract

In this paper, coordination among individual of swarm robot in communicating to maintain the safe distance between robots was analyzed.  Each robot coordinates their movements to avoid obstacles and moving simultaneously. Evaluation of swarm robot performance is analyzed in this paper, namely: the coordination among robots to share information in safe distance determination.  In controlling the coordination of motion, each robot has a sensor that provides several inputs about its surrounding environment. Fuzzy logic control in this paper allows uncertain input, and produces unlimited commands to control motion direction with speed settings according to environmental conditions. In this experiment, it is obtained that the size of the environment affects the coordination of robots.

Abstract

This research is related to the G-Bot (Garbage Robot) which can be monitored and controlled remotely. Users can monitor the state of the existing waste capacity on the G-Bot and can also monitor the conditions around the G-Bot, such as air quality, temperature, and humidity. In addition, the user can also control the G-Bot. The process of monitoring and controlling the G-Bot involves several sensors such as MQ-7, Ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04), and DHT 22, where the data generated by these sensors will continuously be sent to monitoring and control applications involving the MQTT protocol. This study has purpose to monitor and analyze the internet network at various levels of Quality of Service (QoS).  The investigated data are delay, throughput, and packet loss. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the delay value is in the good category, while throughput and packet loss are in the poor categoryABSTRAKPenelitian ini berhubungan dengan robot sampah G-Bot (Garbage Robot) yang dapat dipantau dan dikendalikan dari jarak yang jauh.   User dapat memonitor keadaan kapasitas sampah yang ada pada G-Bot dan juga dapat memantau keadaan di sekitar G-Bot, seperti kualitas udara, temperature, dan kelembaban.  Di samping itu, user juga dapat mengendalikan G-Bot tersebut.  Proses pemantauan dan pengendalian G-Bot ini melibatkan beberapa sensor seperti MQ-7, ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04), dan DHT 22, dimana data yang dihasilkan oleh sensor ini akan terus menerus dikirimkan ke aplikasi monitoring dan kendali yang melibatkan protocol MQTT.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memonitoring dan menganalisis jaringan internet di berbagai tingkatan Quality of Service (QoS).  Data QoS yang diambil pada penelitian ini berupa nilai delay, throughput, dan packet loss.  Dari hasil pengukuran pada penelitian ini, didapat nilai delay dengan kategori good, sedangkan throughput dan packetloss berada di kategori poor

Abstract

People with visual impairment are one of the community groups that need special attention from the surrounding area, because this group experiences difficulties in social life. Not only that, blind people also experience difficulties in their daily lives due to their disabilities, such as reading and memorizing the Qur'an juz 30. The current media does not make it easy for blind people to be able to choose surahs and verses of the Qur'an ' juz 30 that you want to memorize randomly. Application for Al-Qur'an Audio Juz 30 for people with visual impairment using Android-based Voice Recognition is a solution to overcome the above problems. Application for Al-Qur'an Audio Juz 30 for people with visual impairments using Android-based Voice Recognition equipped with a speech recognition system or Google Speech API developed by Google to recognize various kinds of human voices as input commands to the application and use the Arduino UNO module as the main controller in a tool for processing data on an SD card that can be read by the DFPlayer module so that it can recite the surah and verses contained in Al-Qur'an Juz 30. The voice command mode of calling the Qur'an juz 30 can be used in two modes, namely the selection mode per surah and selection mode per verse. Besides this application has a voice notification feature as a reminder for blind people to memorize the Qur'an juz 30 every day. Test results on these applications and tools show that applications and tools designed to function properly

Abstract

Diskless server is a cluster computer network which uses SSH (Secure Shell) protocol to grant the client an access to the host's directory and modify it's content so that the client don't need a hardisk (Thin Client). One way to design a diskless server is by utilizing "Linux Terminal Server Project", an open source-based script for Linux. However, using Linux has it own drawback, such as it can't cross platform for running an aplication based on Windows system which are commonly used. This drawback can be overcomed by using a compatibility layer that converts a windows-based application's source code. The data which will be monitored is the compatibility layer implementation's result, and the throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter. The result of measurement from those four parameters resulting in "Excellent" for throughput, "Perfect" for packet loss and delay, and "Good" for jitter.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss the application of multi-sensor network technology for the monitoring of indoor air pollution. Indoor air pollution has become a severe problem that affects public health, especially indoor parking. The indoor air pollution monitoring system will provide information about vehicle exhaust emission levels. We have improved the system to identify six parameters of the vehicles' gas emissions within a different location at once. This research aimed to measure the parameter of Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Hydro Carbon (HC), temperature and humidity, and levels of particulates in the air (PM10). The performance of this system shows good ability to compare the results of measurements of air quality measuring professionals. In this study, we investigated the performance of a custom-built prototype developed under the android-based application to detect air pollution levels in the parking area. Our objective was to evaluate the suitability of a low-cost multi-sensor network for monitoring air pollution in parking and the other area. The benefit of our approach is that its time and space complexity make it valuable and efficient for real-time monitoring of air pollution.

Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya (POLSRI) adalah salah satu perguruan tinggi terkemuka di kota Palembang Sumatera Selatan. Politeknik yang mendapat peringkat ketiga terbaik di Sumatera Selatan dan berada di klaster ke 12 sebagai pendidikan vokasi terbaik di Indonesia ini, mulai mengadakan program Internasionalisasi terhadap aktivitas pendidikan di kampusnya sebagai upaya pengenalan dengan dunia Internasional untuk melakukan peningkatan mutu dan kualitas pendidikannya. Internasionalisasi itu sendiri merupakan serangkaian aktivitas internasionalisasi seperti academic mobility bagi mahasiswa dan dosen, jejaring internasional, partnership and projects; program akademik internasional yang baru, serta inisiatif penelitian. Lebih lanjut lagi Internasionalisasi sebagai bentuk penyampaian pendidikan kepada negara lain melalui berbagai bentuk penyampaian, seperti kampus cabang atau franchises dengan berbagai bentuk tatap muka ataupun jarak jauh (e-learning). Sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dengan menjaring mahasiswa asing, Polsri mengembangkan program Beasiswa Mahasiswa Internasional yang terusu-menerus diadakan. Hal ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan dari perkembangan kualitas pendidikan sebagai hasil dari perwujudan penguatan inovasi, jaringan dan kolaborasi, pertukaran budaya dan adaptasi bentuk pendidikan di lingkungan kampus dengan Mahasiswa dari macam negara.

Abstract

In today's technological developments, wireless communication provides many possibilities to be able to share information with each other anytime and anywhere and in various fields of life such as health services and the industrial world. One of the wireless communication technologies commonly used in health services is WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network), where WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network) can monitor a person's health condition anywhere and anytime by placing sensors around the body. In order for this monitoring process to be more effective and efficient, an application based on Android and IOS systems is designed that can display monitoring results in real time and can be used for patients or medical personnel. In addition, to minimize the performance of medical personnel in diagnosing patient conditions, an automatic diagnosis system is applied by utilizing fuzzy mamdani logic in making decisions from the measurement results obtained on the sensor.

Abstract

The development of fifth-generation cellular technology, commonly referred to as "5G" networks, is believed to be able to maximize data speed access needs. In order to maximize the utilization of the existing 5G network in Indonesia, Telkomsel providers are using a frequency of 2.3 GHz with a bandwidth of 50 MHz. So we need an antenna amplifier that is easy to fabricate and place anywhere to maximize the signal capture range. A microstrip antenna is a suitable antenna for this amplifier. The advantage of this antenna is that it has a light mass and is easy to fabricate. while the drawbacks come in the form of narrow bandwidth and small gains. Therefore, an antenna design with an artificial substrate and array technique was made to overcome this. The design of this microstrip antenna was made in the CST Studio Suite 2019. The design was carried out by entering the antenna dimension values to be simulated and seeing the parameters; if they are not suitable, then they need to be optimized again, and when they are appropriate, the design results are fabricated and printed. In testing the signal capture power using the Xirrus WiFi Inspector, this antenna was able to capture the signal beam, which was 105 meters or 40 meters further than not using the antenna. In addition, from testing, it is known that this antenna has a gain of 16.15 dBi. While in the simulation, it is also known that this antenna has the following characteristics: return loss: -32,353 dB (S11), -32,737 dB (S22), -33,974 dB (S33), -34,423 dB (S44), VSWR: 1,049 (VSWR 1), 1,047 (VSWR 2), 1.040 (VSWR 3), 1.038 (VSWR 4), impedance: 50.7 -111 MHz.

Abstract

Littering is a human behavior that become a habit since childhood. Even though there are rules that prohibit this behavior, the community still continues to do so. In order to limit this bad behavior, a device that can monitor and provide notifications is needed. In this research, a device is offered that can identify human activities in real time using webcam-based image processing. Then, it is processed by machine learning using the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). The monitoring device produced in this research works by comparing the captured image data with a dataset. The captured image data will then be extracted features and form several coordinate points on the human body, then the system will classify these human activities into the category of normal activities or littering activities. This device will provide an output in the form of a warning every time the activity of littering is detected.

Abstract

In order to improve the assembled set top box's signal reception sensitivity and compare the signal reception quality with set top boxes from the Sharp, D'Color, and HDTV brands, this study will design a set top box with an LNA on the receiver side. Using a Spectrum Analyzer tool to view the RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indicator) value of each set top box as a signal reception quality parameter, data from each set top box used in four different locations in Palembang City—Kenten, Plaju, Kamboja, and Bukit—were collected for this study. The assembled set top box's RSSI value was higher than that of other set top boxes, which indicated that its signal reception quality was better to that of other set top boxes, according to the measurement results at four research locations. This indicates that the LNA applied to the built set top box device can improve the sensitivity of the reception quality of the signal received. In comparison to other areas, Kamboja has the best signal reception because it is nearest to the TV transmitter tower.
