Abstract

In the rapid development of technology, there is a high crime rate. Therefore becomes very important. Many efforts can be made to secure a place and room, such as installing a security lock on the door or using a CCTV camera. But this is not enough to prevent crime from happening. Night Vision is the ability to see either in a biological or technological sense in a dark environment. Night vision capability can be achieved using two approaches, namely increasing the visible spectrum of the wave spectrum or increasing the ability to see low light intensities. Night vision has advantages and disadvantages, especially in conditions of very low light intensity. This technology has developed from time to time such as, there is the camera that uses sophisticated and modern electronic systems. Therefore, in this study, modern technology was designed with a smart security system that can be used to maintain home security or hunt at night.

Abstract

In this study, we designed a multisensory medical device to carry out a process of monitoring body health that was integrated into the system so that the patient's health could be detected. This tool uses Wireless Body Area Network technology that can work with Android-based platforms in real time. In designing this tool, it is designed to detect body health automatically by displaying information about body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen levels in the blood, then sending notifications to the server without wasting time, and recording physical health information data automatically. Real-time display on the smartphone, owned by the user and provides a readable body health status that is healthy, an indication or needs action.

Abstract

Telecommunications have an important role in facilitating communication and information exchange, especially in emergency situations such as natural disasters and unexpected community events. Implementing mobile technology is a promising solution to improve the response and handling of in-kind problems. Mobile technology allows the public to quickly report incidents of disaster or security issues through applications or short message services. The implementation of mobile technology facilitates real-time communication between the community and Babinsa. The public can send reports quickly, convey important information, and share photos or videos as evidence of events. Babinsa, on the other hand, can respond more efficiently to these reports and take necessary actions based on the information received. Apart from that, mobile technology also supports two-way communication between Babinsa and the community. The public can also get the latest information about emergencies, efforts handling, or evacuation via app or direct message notification. Thus, the implementation of mobile technology can make a significant contribution to improving communication, response, and handling of disasters and community events.

Abstract

Diskless server is a cluster computer network which uses SSH (Secure Shell) protocol to grant the client an access to the host's directory and modify it's content so that the client don't need a hardisk (Thin Client). One way to design a diskless server is by utilizing "Linux Terminal Server Project", an open source-based script for Linux. However, using Linux has it own drawback, such as it can't cross platform for running an aplication based on Windows system which are commonly used. This drawback can be overcomed by using a compatibility layer that converts a windows-based application's source code. The data which will be monitored is the compatibility layer implementation's result, and the throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter. The result of measurement from those four parameters resulting in "Excellent" for throughput, "Perfect" for packet loss and delay, and "Good" for jitter.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of EfficientNet architecture in developing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model for sign language classification. Sign language is a vital communication method for the deaf community, but automatic recognition remains a challenge in the field of computer vision. One of the primary issues is the limitation in accuracy and efficiency of models in recognizing complex variations of sign language in real-world conditions. EfficientNet, known for its computational efficiency, is used as a backbone to build a CNN model that can classify sign language letter patterns with high accuracy while remaining lightweight. The dataset used in this study is American Sign Language (ASL) with data augmentation techniques to enhance the variety and quality of the dataset. The dataset comprises 14,740 images of sign language letter patterns from various angles and lighting conditions. Experimental results show that the EfficientNet-based model developed achieves training and validation accuracies of 98.40% with a more efficient model size and inference time. This study demonstrates the significant potential of using EfficientNet in developing sign language classification systems that can be applied to devices with limited resources, such as mobile applications and edge computing. These findings are expected to improve accessibility and social inclusion for the deaf and speech-impaired communities. Thus, this research not only contributes to the field of pattern recognition technology but also to efforts to enhance the quality of life for individuals with communication disabilities through the development of effective and efficient assistive tools.

Abstract

Forest fires are a serious environmental problem, causing ecosystem damage, air pollution and economic losses. Effective monitoring and mitigation of forest fires requires early detection and tracking of hotspots that have the potential to become fire centers. This research proposes the implementation of Internet of Things(IoT) technology and thermal sensors to detect forest fires through point coordinate mapping using the triangulation method. The method used involves the installation of thermal sensors and NEO-6 GPS modules. The thermal sensor measures the ambient temperature in real-time, while the GPS module provides precise coordinate data in (latitude and longitude). Data from the sensors is transmitted to the ThingSpeak platform via the IoT network, where further analysis is performed to identify hot spots. A triangulation method is then applied to map the position of the hot spot. This research aims to develop a forest fire monitoring system capable of detecting and mapping hotspots in real-time, thus enabling quick and effective mitigation actions. The results obtained from this research show that the system can determine the position of hotspots with coordinate accuracy (latitude and longitude) within a margin of error of less than 5 meters.

Abstract

Traffic accidents in Indonesia are a serious issue with a high number of fatalities, and one of the main causes is microsleep, which is a brief moment of sleep while driving. To address this problem, this research has developed a sleePIness detection system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using a Raspberry PI and a webcam, utilizing the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The system is designed to detect the driver’s eye condition and provide a warning through a buzzer if the eyes are closed for more than 3 seconds. The research results indicate that the SVM model with a polynomial kernel has a training accuracy of 85.04%, demonstrating its ability to classify eye data into "opened" and "closed" categories. Evaluation with various SVM kernels, including linear, radial basis function (RBF), and polynomial, shows that the polynomial kernel performs the best with an accuracy of 85%, precision of 86%, and recall of 85% in detecting closed eyes. Although the system is effective in real-time detection of driver sleePIness, challenges remain with lighting conditions and camera positioning. Further testing is needed to improve the reliability and accuracy of the system in various situations. By providing early warnings to drivers, this system has significant potential to enhance road safety and prevent accidents caused by drowsiness.

Abstract

Health technology is increasingly developing along with the development of information and communication technology, where these advances are used to improve the quality of health services, especially in remote patient monitoring through telemedicine, M-Health and Telehealth. The development of the times has also brought telemedicine to a wider realm through M-Health and Telehealth which uses digital technology and wireless communication to enable monitoring of patient conditions, besides that websites are also used for wireless monitoring and data collection of patients because they have wide accessibility. This study aims to design a website that can integrate the data of the size of health sensor devices into an Internet of Things-based platform to display body temperature, blood oxygen, and ECG data in real-time. The test results show that all website features are running well, where the website runs well depending on the network used.
