Abstract

The aimed of this research to get the interaction of liquid waste of palm oil mill and N, P, K fertilizer and get best dosage of them to growth of plam oil seedlingin pre nursery on red yellow podzolic soil. The research conducted on September to December 2016. The research used Completely Randomized Design of factorial that consisting of two factors. The first factor is the liquid waste of palm oil mill (LWPOM), consists of (0, 1.6,1.8, 2.0 l/polybag) andthe second factor is the NPK fertilizer, consists of (Urea 0.34 g Urea + 0.35 g TSP + 0.32 g KCl/polybag), (0.44 g Urea + 0.45 g TSP + 0.42 g KCl/polybag), and                                         (0.54 g Urea + 0.55 g TSP + 0.52 g KCl/polybag). Data obtained from the research were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance followed by a further test of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Parameters were observed height of seedling, diameter of hums, number of leaf midrib, leaf area, shoot root ratio and dry weight. Giving of liquid waste of palm oil mill and N, P, K fertilizersignificantly to height of seedling, stem diameter, number of leaf midrib. Aplication liquid waste of palm oil mill 2.0 l/polybag and NPK (Urea 0.34 g Urea + 0.35 g TSP + 0.32 g KCl/polybag). Abstract

Sansevieria is potentially as ornamental plants, anti pollutants and medicinal plants which requires development through effort propogation. The aim of the research was to find out the effect of NAA and BA and the combination both of them for the success and bud growth on cutting Sansevieria. The research by giving NAA and BA was conducted at Green House of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, started from September 2013 to March 2014. This research used completely randomized design (CRD) which consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment were: A = without hormone, B = NAA 1 mg/l, C = BA 1 mg/l, D = NAA    1 mg/l + BA 1 mg/l and D = NAA 0,5 mg/l + BA 0,5 mg/l. Parameters observed were the survival percentage, percentage of root cuttings, number of roots, root length, root volume, percentage of bud growth, number of buds, bud length, number of leaf buds and number of bud roots. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further tested by using Duncan’s new multiple range test level 5%. The result showed that the growth of cutting Sansevieria not affected by NAA and BA either as singular or the combination. Abstract

Edamame soybean is the plant from Japan. Edamame soybean production has a relatively short lifespan than regular soy because it is harvested when the pods are young. Bioslurry is one of organic material that can be applied as a liquid organic fertilizer on edamame soybean, but the giving of bioslurry only in the short term has not been able to occupied the nutrient requirements for edamame soybean, so it needs the addition of organic fertilizers such as  anorganic fertilizer N, P, K. This study aimed to get the interaction effect of bioslurry and N, P, K fertilizers on the growth and production of edamame soybean (Glycine max (L) Merrill) and get best treatment. This study was a factorial experiment arranged in Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The parameters observed were plant height, percentage of effective root nodules, plant dry weight, days to flowering, number of pods per plant, pod percentage pithy, weight of pods per plant and weight of pods per plot. The results showed that the interaction effect of bioslurry and fertilizer N, P, K did not affected the plant height and days to flowering and affected the percentage of effective root nodules, dry weight of pods per plant, pod percentage pithy weight of pods per plant and weight of pods per plot. Based on the research results of bioslurry application (500 ml /plant) and N, P, K (3.3+ 9.9+8.8)g/plot fertilizers gives the best results on the growth and production of soybean edamame. Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the best dose of NPK organic nutrient solution on growth and yield of tomato plants with hydroponics systems. These experiments were prepared using completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment in this study are: D1 = organic NPK with dose of 325 g / plant, D2 = organic NPK with dose of 650 g / plant, D3 = organic NPK with dose of 975 g / plant, D4 = organic NPK with dose of 1300 g / plant. Parameters measured were plant dry weight, number of flowers, number of fruits percentage of fruit formation, harvesting age and weight of fruits per plant. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan's test New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The results showed that treatment doses of 975 g / plant showed the highest results in each parameter were observed. Accompanied by an increase in organic NPK dose response primarily to the increase was not significantly different for all parameters were observed. Abstract

ABSTRACT                This study aims to determine the interaction of reed mulch and Urea, TSP, KCl fertilizers and to get the best dose on the growth and yield of mung bean. The research was conducted on August to October 2015 at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This experiment based on factorial, arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor are 3 levels mulching reeds (without mulch reeds, mulch reeds 8 ton/ha and 12 ton/ha). The second factor are 3 levels of fertilizer Urea, TSP, KCl (25, 37.5, 25 kg/ha), (37.5, 56.25, 37.5 kg/ha) and (50, 75, 50 kg/ha). Data were analyzed statistically and Duncan's Multiple Range test at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of mulch reeds and Urea, TSP, KCl had no effect on plant height, number of branches, flowering dates, number of pods per plant, number of pods pithy per plant, yield per plot and weight of 1000 seeds and influential the length of the main stem segments. Based on the research results 12 ton/ha of mulch reeds and 25, 37.5, 25 kg/ha of Urea, TSP, KCl was the best results on the growth and yield of mung beans.   Keywords: mung beans, mulch, fertilizers, yield.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the composition of sawdust and sago pulp as the best for the growth and development of the oyster mushroom. This research was completely randomize design which the threatments were media composition. K0= 100% sawdust without sago pulp, K1= 75% sawdust without sago pulp, K2= 50% sawdust without sago pulp, K3= 25% sawdust without sago pulp and K4= 0% sawdust without sago pulp. The observed were times a appears mycelium, mycelium growth speed, harvesting age, number of fruit bodies, body weight per baglog fresh fruit, stem length and the biological efficiency. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance. Followed by test of DNMRT 5%. The observation indicated that the use of mixture of sawdust and sago pulp as oyster mushroom growing medium were non significantly in improving mycelium growing speed and efficiency of biology, but tent to be the best of mycelium growing time, amount of fruit and long body stem. Media composition 75% sawdust and 25% sago pulp resulted tent to be best among combination treatments.Key Words: Sawdust, Sago Pulp and Oyster Mushrooms.

Abstract

Seedling is a plant material which is very important in the development    of the palm oil industry. Quality of seedlings will determine the success of oil palm cultivation. The uncertain climate change caused many oil palm nursery are flooding. This stage of hypoxia or anoxia caused plant growth stress.          Therefore has been tested multiple giberelin concentrations and flooding against oil palm seedlings on pre nurseries. This research aims to maintaining quality      of oil palm seedlings of waterlogging stress by providing some gibberellin concentration. This research was conducted at the experiment station                    of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, Pekanbaru from June to September 2015. The experiment using the completely randomized factorial design 3 x 3 and 3 replications. The first factor are g0 = without gibberellin, g1 = 150 ppm gibberellin and g2 = 300 ppm gibberellin, and the second factor is duration              of waterlogging stress. There are w0 = 0 days, w1 = 25 days and w2 = 50 days.   The results is no interaction of gibberellin concentration and flooding stress to oil palm seedling. The higher concentration of gibberellin given caused higher seedlings, and the growth of diameter rod and adventitious roots was affected       by flooding. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of K fertilizer rates and time of N fertilizer application, and to obtain better combination of K fertilizer and time of N fertilizer application for plant growth and soybean grain yield. A Field trial was conducted using a randomized block design with three replications. The rates of K fertilizer were 25 kgK2Oha-1, 50 kgK2Oha-1,  and 75 kgK2Oha-1and time of N fertilizer application including,planting date, 30 days after planting, and at plantingdate followed at 30 days after planting. Parameters observed are plant height, number of internodes, seed dry weight at 15, 22 days after pollination and at harvest, dry matter accumulation rate, effective filling period, seed yield m-2, 100-seed weight and harvest index. Significant effect were observed for seed yield per m2 and seed dry weight at harvest, while plant height, number of internodes, seed dry weight at 15 and 22 days after pollination, dry material accumulation rate, effective filling period, 100-seed weight and harvest indexwere not influenced by K fertilizer and time of N application.Keyword :soybean, K fertilizer rates, application time N

Abstract

This research aims to find out the diversity of agronomic and morphological characters of various local rice accessions obtained from two Districts in Kampar Regency namely Rumbio Jaya District and Kampar District. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Riau on September 2017 to March 2018. The research used descriptive analysis method which consists of characterization referring to the guidelines for the characterization and evaluation system of rice plants. The results of the research shows that there are diversity between accessions in the form of agronomic and morphological characters, where the characterization is carried out on 10 observational characters including plant age, plant height, grain fertility, pistil head color, stem color, leaf neck color, leaf ears color, leaf stem color , leaf tongue shape and number of tillers. This information is useful for plant breeders in developing superior varieties of Kampar local rice plants. In addition, this information is useful as a historical description of the collected accession.Keywords: Characterization, accession, local rice plant, kampar regency

Abstract

This research aims to look at the interaction effect of bio-slurry giving solid and NPK fertilizer tablets, as well as to stroke the best dose of bio-slurry solid manure and NPK tablet to increase the growth and production of sweet corn. improve (Zea mays Saccharata Sturt). The research was conducted at the test farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Campus Bina Widya, New Simpang Village, District Handsome, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted in September-November 2017. The study consisted of two factors. The first factor is a fixed dose of Bio-Slurry consisting of three levels, namely B0: 0 kg per plot, B1: 7.5 kg per plot and B2: 15 kg per plot. The second factor talet NPK (10:10:14) consists of three levels, namely P0: 0 tablets per plant, P1: 2 tablets per plant and P2: 4 tablets per plant. Of the two factors above 9, treatment combinations were obtained and each was repeated three times, resulting in 27 graphs of experimental units. Data obtained from observations were statistically analyzed using SAS System Version 9.20. The results of the multiplication analysis were continued with Duncan's multiple-range test at 5% level. The observed parameters were plant height, time of male flower, time of female flower, flask diameter, length of tuna, harvest age and cob weight without clot per sample. Increasing doses of bio-slurry solids and NPK tablet improve plant growth and high production, while male flowers, while female flowers, corn cob diameter, corn cob length, corn cob weight and age of the sweet corn crop. Giving solid biological slurry of 15 kg per plot and NPK 100 tablets per plot yields the best growth and production of sweet corn plants. Keywords: Sweet corn, bio-slurry, fertilizer NPK tablet
