Abstract

This research was conducted to address the low level of physical fitness, particularly VO₂Max, among junior high school female students, which impacts their overall health and physical performance. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of poco-poco and SKJ 2021 aerobic exercise programs, along with the influence of exercise motivation, on the improvement of VO₂Max in female students at SMP Negeri 6 Bengkulu. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. A total of 24 female students were selected through total sampling and divided into four treatment groups. The exercise was conducted over 12 sessions, and VO₂Max was measured using the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT). The results revealed that the group performing SKJ 2021 with high motivation (A2B1) achieved the highest average posttest VO₂Max score of 41.2 ml/kg/min, while the poco-poco group with low motivation (A1B2) had the lowest average score of 35.6 ml/kg/min. Two-way ANOVA analysis showed a significant effect of both exercise type and motivation level on VO₂Max (p < 0.05). The interaction between exercise and motivation was also statistically significant. These findings conclude that the combination of structured aerobic exercise and high motivation significantly enhances cardiovascular endurance in female junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence between physical fitness, economic status, and motivation on PJOK learning outcomes at SMP El-Ma'arif Boarding School West Pasaman Regency. This research method is a quantitative method using a Path Analysis approach. The population in this study was all students at SMP El-Ma'arif Boarding School West Pasaman Regency which amounted to 46 students. The sampling technique was carried out by means of total sampling, with a total sample of 46 people. Data was collected using questionnaires to measure self-confidence and learning motivation, TKPN tests to obtain physical fitness data of students and primary data were used to see learning outcomes obtained by students in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year. The results of research and data analysis show that: (1) Physical fitness has a direct effect on learning outcomes because the sig value = 0.026 is smaller than the probability value of 0.05, affecting 9.80%. (2) Economic status directly affects learning outcomes obtained GIS value = 0.015 smaller than the significant value of 0.05, influential by 12.30%. (3) Learning motivation has a direct effect on learning outcomes because the value of sig = 0.007 is smaller than the probability value of 0.05, affecting 16.73%. This study concluded that physical fitness, economic status, and learning motivation directly have a significant effect on PJOK learning outcomes at SMP El-Ma'arif Boarding School West Pasaman Regency.

Abstract

The validity and reliability of the Nusantara Student Fitness Test instrument remain uncertain, prompting this study to investigate its efficacy. This research aims to assess the validity of various components of the test, including Body Mass Index (BMI), V Sit and Reach, 60-second Sit Up, Squat Thrust, Pacer Test, and overall reliability of the Nusantara Student Fitness Test (TKPN) instrument. A descriptive research method was employed, involving 109 junior high school students from Padang City across 11 districts. The sample comprised 143 students actively participating in extracurricular sports from SMP N 18 Padang City and SMP Adabiah Padang City. Data analysis utilized correlation tests (rxy) at a significance level of 0.05. The findings reveal several key outcomes: (1) BMI provided insights into students' nutritional status, with the majority exhibiting good nutrition; (2) The V Sit and Reach test exhibited validity (0.314 > 0.163), albeit not particularly useful; (3) The Sit Up test demonstrated acceptable validity (0.647 > 0.163); (4) The Squat Thrust test showed clear relevance (0.444 > 0.163); (5) The Pacer Test displayed very good validity (0.814 > 0.163); (6) The TKPN instrument exhibited medium reliability (0.676). These findings contribute to a better understanding of the Nusantara Student Fitness Test instrument's effectiveness and underscore the importance of validity and reliability assessments in fitness evaluation tools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of concentration on the learning outcomes of early childhood students, specifically in physical education. Using the Causal Comparative Research method, this study compares two groups of students with different concentration levels to observe the differences in their learning outcomes. The data collected were analyzed using statistics, including the t-test, with a significance level 0.05. The results show that students with higher levels of concentration showed significant improvement in learning outcomes compared to students with lower levels of concentration. The coefficient of determination of 25.1% indicates that learning concentration contributes to sports learning outcomes, while 74.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.  These findings emphasize the importance of concentration in supporting the development of physical and cognitive skills in young children. The implications of this study suggest the need for teaching strategies that can enhance students' concentration, such as structured physical activities and more interactive learning. This research provides insights for educators to develop more effective teaching methods to improve concentration and learning outcomes in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the gymnastics coaching program in Pekanbaru City using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants selected via purposive sampling included KONI officials, coaches, and athletes. Data were analyzed using triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that while the program aligns with local sports policies and continues to operate, several critical challenges hinder its sustainability. In the context dimension, the program lacks long-term strategic planning and regular competition opportunities. From the input perspective, issues include outdated training facilities, insufficient funding, and weak coach regeneration. The process evaluation indicates the absence of systematic performance monitoring and limited coordination among key institutions. Lastly, the product dimension shows that although some athletes have achieved success, the lack of structured regeneration systems jeopardizes long-term outcomes. These results suggest the need for strategic improvements, including increased funding, upgraded infrastructure, structured talent development, and enhanced institutional collaboration. The study contributes a comprehensive, model-based evaluation framework that can inform future efforts in regional sports program development across Indonesia.

Abstract

The evolution of technology in education has opened new doors for innovative teaching methods. One such breakthrough tool is ChatGPT, a learning model developed by Open AI. Open AI has huge potential, not only to increase efficiency but also to improve pedagogy for more engaging learning experiences. The purpose of this research is to test the integration of GPT Chat in Project Based-Learning in Learning. This research uses a systematic literature review method using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA). The results of this research explain that in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0, educational institutions must prepare new literacy and orientation in the field of education, the new literacy itself is in the form of data, technology, and human resource literacy. Project-based learning is a learning model that emphasizes student activity in solving various problems through a series of activities starting with gathering information, planning a project, and producing a particular product packaged in the form of project work. The stages of project-based learning are Determining basic questions, developing a project plan, Developing a schedule, Monitoring, Test results, and Evaluation of experience. ChatGPT is a research tool or “thought partner”, and is said to be useful for a variety of teaching purposes. The application of the PjBL model has the potential to improve student learning outcomes and motivation in Indonesia. Therefore, the integration of GPT chat with Project Based-learning in learning needs to receive further attention so that it can make a more significant contribution to improving the quality of learning and student motivation in Indonesia.
