Abstract

Basically, every child will go through a growth and development process according to their age stages. To properly monitor children's growth and development, parents, health workers, educators, cadres and other staff who are interested in children's growth and development need to take their respective roles. Because the process of children's growth and development is almost the same, knowing the characteristics and principles of children's growth and development will make it easier for parents to provide growth and development stimulation in accordance with what is needed and expected by children to achieve optimal growth and development. One of the efforts to overcome this is by educating parents about stimulating growth and development using simple instruments. One of the tools/instruments used to determine whether a child's development is normal or whether there are deviations is by using the KIA book. This service activity aims to increase parents' knowledge and skills in monitoring children's growth, development and stimulation by utilizing the parenting activity community that already exists in Tegal City, namely the HEbAT Community. This activity takes the form of providing material on parenting concepts and improving skills in monitoring and stimulating children's development. The learning stages contain parenting concepts according to Nurturing Care recommended by WHO. At the practical stage, there will be practice assessing children's development through the KIA book. The monitoring results will show the child's developmental status and the type of stimulation needed. The service was carried out on May 30 2024 at the Pendopo, East Tegal District, Tegal City, which was attended by 32 mothers of toddlers and their children.

Abstract

The Waste Bank serves as both a platform to address community issues and a facility for waste management based on the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R). It's utilized by local governments for educational purposes, fostering behavioral changes in waste management, and promoting circular economy practices. Managed jointly by the community, businesses, and the government, it's a collaborative effort aimed at tackling waste issues. A qualitative study analyzing waste bank management policies in Tasikmalaya City reveals a successful implementation driven by robust cooperation between the government and the community in waste management endeavors. Even though there are still obstacles such as the lack of clear regulations and inadequate waste processing methods, the Waste Bank has succeeded in changing people's view of waste into something that has economic value. To be more effective, regulations, waste processing and utilization of existing facilities need to be improved. Factors such as resource availability, community participation, technological development, characteristics of Waste Bank users, economic, social, political factors and government support influence the implementation of Waste Banks. Even though there are still obstacles such as lack of resources and public understanding, with technological development, behavioral changes, government support and good strategies, waste banks have great potential to manage waste more efficiently and provide great economic and environmental benefits for the City of Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Indramayu Regency Spatial Plan (RTRW) 2011–2031 with a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach. Edward III's theory of policy implementation is the analytical tool for this research. Data triangulation is a tool for testing the validity of data sources obtained from observations, documentation studies and interviews. The results show a mismatch between plans and implementation, including land conversion that is not in accordance with its intended use, weak coordination between stakeholders, limited resources, and lack of supervision. Although there have been partial successes, such as the development of the tourism sector, the main challenges remain significant. Using a public policy theory framework, this study provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of spatial planning implementation to support sustainable development in Indramayu Regency.

Abstract

Abstract

Thoughts and perspectives ultimately provide the basis for how individuals understand and interpret life experiences. Failure is not the end of a journey but rather an opportunity to grow. This research discusses the process of self-affirmation through meditation to raise awareness of the minds of individuals who experience the lowest point in life, making them feel insecure, stressed, hopeless and losing character. This research uses qualitative methods with the Looking Glass Self theory. In this theory, individuals describe the process by which social reactions and evaluations can have an impact on how we see ourselves. This research aims to gain an in-depth understanding of self-affirmation through meditation in forming self-concept. The results of this research contained 3 findings, namely past trauma and its causes, self-affirmation through meditation, and self-concept. Past trauma is one of the causes for individuals to meditate, for example childhood trauma, breakups and even parental pressure. Self-affirmation through meditation has a positive impact on rising and recovering from failure, so that it can build a positive self-concept by setting boundaries to accept and respect bad social views. This shows that self-affirmation through meditation is an effective way to strengthen self-confidence and create a positive self-concept.
