Abstract

Developments in technology and industry has brought many changes in behavior include changes in lifestyle (smoking, drinking coffee and tea, and physical activity) and food consumption patterns. The bus driver is a group of people who require nutritional status and health conditions are optimal in order to carry out their work. Nutrition workers have an important role, both for the well-being and in order to improve discipline and productivity. This research a descriptive study using survey methods to describe the lifestyles and patterns of food consumption and nutritional status of the bus driver mini CV. SBI (Sibuluan Beautiful) and CV. Flores route Medan-Sibolga 2016. Total sample of 66 people. The data collection by using the from method of 24 hours food recall and food frequency. From the research, it known that the lifestyle of a bus driver among other habit of smoking category (80.3%) and the number of cigarettes smoked per day were considered moderate smokers (48.5%.), drinking coffee (86.4%) and category drinking tea (95.5%), a bus driver who drink coffee and tea on average three cups per day (37.9%) and (39.4%), and physical activity bus driver  classified in moderate activity (43.9% ). The level of energy consumption categorized as very high (50%), the level of protein consumption is categorized as very high (39.4%), while the rate of fat consumption categorized as high (54.5%). Based on the research results suggested to the bus driver for more attention to lifestyle (smoking, drinking coffee and tea, and physical activity) and eating foods that are nutritionally balanced according to the needs or the intake body Keywords: lifestyle, food consumption patterns, nutritional status, the bus driver.

Abstract

School-age children are the group that can not be ignored in national development for school-age children, especially primary school children is the development resources. Lack of nutrients will cause malnutrition status. If there is no improvement in energy consumption and adequate protein, the body will eventually be susceptible to disease infection then this may affect the growth process of the child's height so that the child has a body that tend to be short. This study aims to determine the socioeconomic status of the family and child stunting and consumption patterns of normal elementary school children Naiposposbarat 2 157628 Sorkam Sub District of Tapanuli Tengah.            This research is a descriptive cross-sectional design. This research was conducted by calculating the adequacy of energy and protein, as well as the types of food from food consumption in children using a 24-hour food recall. Data collection is done by measuring the height of children as measured by tools microtoise, socioeconomic data interviews with questionnaires, and sheets FFQ.            The results showed in general, based on the child's height for age there are 58.3% of children are short-child category, 41.7% of children whose normal category. The adequacy of child stunting macro nutrients namely energy adequacy amounted to 61.2% classified as good, and the amount of protein of 59.2% belong to the deficit. Macro nutrient adequacy normal child that energy sufficiency 54.3% classified as good, and the amount of protein of 14.3% belong to the deficit. Most children have a mother Stunting secondary education as much as 57.1%. While a child whose height is normal to have a mother as much as 48.6% secondary education. But there are as many as 11.4% of children whose height is normal to have a mother who Bachelor (S1). In addition, as many as 59.2% stunting Children have a father working as a farmer, and have an income below the minimum wage as much as 89.8%.            Expected to families, especially mothers in order to provide a balanced nutritional intake so as to reduce the risk of stunting in children under five. In addition, the school suggested cooperation with attendant health centers to provide nutrition counseling school children as well as to the canteen to provide healthy snacks that contribute in adding to the nutrient intake of school children. Abstract

The rapid development caused shifting in the lifestyle and diet of primary school students. Their physical activity is decreasing due to the use of technology and  they tend to eat high in fat and carbohydrates meals that can lead to obesity. Based on those problem, nutrition counseling is made using an interesting media to deliver nutrition information easily, particularly in obesity prevention. This study aims to determine the effect of nutrition counseling on obesity prevention using animated movie media to increase the knowledge and attitude of SD Muhammadiyah 01 Pematangsiantar students. This research is a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post- test group design. Sampling was carried out with a purposive sampling method with a sample of 85 children with one treatment group. Data was collected by using questionnaires. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test at 95% significance level.The results showed knowledge of students in pre-test scores on the category of less is 7,1% and 0,00% in post-test scores. The results also showed the attitude of students in pre-test score on the category of less is 15,3% and 0,00% in post-test scores. The result of statistical test showed an improvement in score of knowledge and attitude after watching the animated movie. The results of the analysis of differences in knowledge and attitude before and after the animated movie screening showed a significant difference (p.=0,000). The conclusion of this study is health counseling using animated movie increase the knowge and attitude of primary school on obesity prevention. The suggestion of this research is that the animated movie could be used by health workers to deliver information about obesity prevention to students and the school can used this animated movie to as a media to deliver nutrition information about obesity in the learning process. Abstract

The eating habits of adolescents now consume more calories in excess accompanied by a lack of physical activity causes many of the adolescents with overweight and obesity status. Adolescence is closely related with self-actualization. One was about body image in adolescents will greatly affect eating habits, actually selection of groceries and food frequency. This study aims to describe eating habits, physical activity, body image, the nutritional status of female adolescent in SMK Negeri 2 Sibolga. This type of research was observational with cross sectional design. This study was conducted by assess  the food frequency questionnaire, food type, calculate nutrient intake using a 24-hour food recall. Calculating physical activity with PAL and nutritional status with BMI / U. Body image was measured by using the method of Figure Rating Scale (FRS). The research sample were 90 people who the adolescent girls. Body weight was measured using scales student and student body height using microtoise. Data analysis used  descriptive analysis. The results of study showed most of eating habits of female adolescent in good categories as much as 98.0%, 63.3% female students the kind of food is not varied, 95,6% the energy consumption not correspond of RDA, 71,1% protein consumption not correspond of RDA, 87,8% the fat consumption not correspond RDA, and 91,1% the carbohydrate not correspond of RDA. Physical activity students 77.8% mild category. Negative of Body image is 56.7%. The nutritional status of students skinny 5.6%, 14.4% fat and 5.6% obese.             Students is expected to have paid more attention to his eating habits by adopting appropriate diet with Balanced Nutrition Guidelines. Schools should have a partnership with health centers to information disseminated regarding weight and height normal, so students not mistaken represent nutrition own status, so they do not have a negative body image. Abstract

The problem of balanced nutrition in Indonesia is still a serious problem. The importance of nutrition for the child's life in order to support its growth and development, the balanced consumption pattern needs to be applied by mother. The purpose of this research was to know the relation of knowledge and attitude of mother about balanced nutrition of children aged 24-59 months in working area of ​​Puskesmas Matsum Kecamatan Medan Area.             This  research was an analitic research which used multistage random sampling design with total sample of 110 children. Data were collected by using interviews on mothers having children aged 24-59 months using structured questionnaire. Types of food, Food Frequency Questionnaire, and total intake of macro and micro nutrients were seen using 24 hour recall form. The results showed that there is a relationship between knowledge and food pattern of children. This is evidenced by the existence of a significant relationship between knowledge with the type and amount of intake of macro and micro nutrients in children. The p value obtained for the relationship between knowledge with the type and amount of macro and micro nutrients was (p <0.05). Based on the results of the study also shows a relationship between attitude with the child's diet. This is evidenced by the value (p <0.05) which means, there is a significant relationship between the attitude with the type and amount of intake of macro nutrients and micronutrients in children. The food pattern of children aged 24-59 months seen from the consumption of rice every day. The most frequency of side dishes is fish and eggs. Vegetables are often consumed by children such as carrots and mustard also consume ‘kerupuk and ‘chiki’ every day. Suggestions in this study to the Public Health Office and Puskesmas to socialize balanced nutrition through a balanced nutrition handbook for health workers for ‘kader’ to keep voicing about balanced nutrition in the community. Abstract

Nutrition is a very important need in the process of growth and development of children, especially in the first two years of life. Breast milk feeding patterns and complementary foodsof not exactly can open the gates for various types of diseases and cause nutritional problems in children. The purpose of this study was to know the breast feeding patterns and complementary foods, infectious diseases and nutritional status of children ages 6-24 months in the Working Area of Community Health Center Lawe Perbunga, South East Aceh.This researchwas descriptive research with cross sectional approach. A sample of 77 children ages 6-24 months were measured in simple random sampling. Method of data collection by passing interview used questionnaire and measured child nutritional status based on index of weight for age (W/A), length for age (L/A) and weight for length (W/L). The results of the study showed that thebreast milkfeedingpatternof 29,9% good categories and 70,1%categories was not good. Complementary foods of 29,9% good categories and 70,1%categories was not good. The children ages 6-24 months with an infectioun diseases of 50,6% and no pain of 49,4%.Nutritional status based on the index W/A of 81,8%good nutrition categories, 16,9% of malnutrition categories and 1,3% of more nutrition categories. Nutritional status based on the index L/A of 49,4%of normal categories, 26.0% very short categories, 23,4% of short categories and 1,3% of high categories. While the nutritional status based on the W/L of 67,5% normal categories, 1,3% of very thin categories, 3,9% of thin categories and 27,3% of fat categories.Thus the need for counseling of the mother about the breast milk feeding patterns and complementary foods in children. Especially on exclusive breastfeeding, when children can be given complementary foods, and how the correct complementary foods includes types and forms complementary foods tailored to the development of the childs age. Abstract

The game of football is a sport that requires physical endurance and intensity high so that a good nutritional status is required as well as enough nutrients to support performance and the performance of the athletes. The need to maintain fluid balance in the body, because if the lack of fluid consumption can lead to dehydration which can degrade the performance of the sport. This research was conducted to find out the description of the level of knowledge of sports nutrition, the frequency of drinking fitness isotonic drink, physical, and nutritional status in football athletes at Premier Division Persatuan Sepakbola Langkat (PSL) Bapor Pertamina Pangkalan Susu. This research uses a cross-sectional design with sampling technique using total sampling. Sport nutrition knowledge measurement using questionnaires, frequency beverages isotonic method using a Food Frequency Questionnaire, physical fitness test method using balke, and nutritional status using the method of anthropometry. Then data analyzed are descriptive. The results showed that athletes have knowledge of sports nutrition less 53,3%, do not consume drinks isotonic 40,0%, enough physical fitness 66,7%, and status malnutrition 56,7%. It is recommended that the athlete applying a good diet and healthy to optimize intake of energy and nutrients your body needs to improve performance fitness athletes in sports. Abstract

Health problems are still common in Indonesia, including nutritional problems in toddlers. One of the problems that often found in children under five of them malnutrition. Malnutrition in children can lead to disruption of growth and development and susceptible to infectious diseases. Malnutrition in children can be caused by inadequate feeding and economic factors. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between feeding and family income levels with nutritional status of children under five in Muarasipongi Sub-district, Mandailing Natal Regency in 2017.               The type of research used quantitative research with cross sectional design. Sampling using multistage random sampling technique with a sample of 88 children. Data collection was done by direct interviews on mothers with children under five using structured questionnaires. Feeding of children was seen using 24-hour recall form and food frequency. The nutritional status of children is seen by measuring body weight and height of the child. To see the relationship between feeding and family income level with nutritional status of children under five using Chi Square test with 95% confidence level.               The results showed that based on nutritional status with index weight for age (W/A) related to the completeness of food type, energy sufficiency level, carbohydrate, protein and family income. Based on the height for age (H/A) index associated with the completeness of food type, the level of energy adequacy, protein, vitamin A, and zinc. Based on the index weight for height (W/H) associated with the level of carbohydrate adequacy, protein and family income. The p value obtained for the relationship between feeding and family income levels with nutritional status was (p <0.05). The frequency of feeding is seen from the consumption of rice each day. The most frequent frequency of side dishes is eggs. Vegetables are often consumed by children is cassava leaves, children also consume crackers every day. Suggestions in this study to the Health Office and public health center to socialize balanced nutrition through a balanced nutrition handbook for health workers for cadres to keep voicing about balanced nutrition in the community.  Keywords: family income, nutritional status, under five children feeding

Abstract

Habit of breakfast is included in one of the thirteen basic message of balanced nutrition. For school children breakfast sufficient proven to improve learning concentration and stamina thus improving learning achievement. Often school children ignore breakfast on the grounds of lack of time, not hungry or no appetite. Though breakfast is not just a booster stomach, but the breakfast also provides energy for the body to move with optimal, otakpun optimized to work with and not get sleepy. The aim of this research to find out effect of a healthy morning breakfast campaign with the comic media to changes in knowledge and attitudes breakfast for elementary school student 060880 districts Medan Polonia. This type of research is quasi experiment (quasi-experiment) with the draft One Pretest-Posttest Group Design. Total sample are 74 children which fluently reading. Using questionnaires and data collection to data analysis using testpaired t test, The result of the analysis showed that the change in the behavior of a healthy breakfast every morning with comics as a media campaign giving healthy breakfast, as seen from the increase in the average value of the knowledge and attitudes of children in public primary schools 060880 District of Medan Polonia. It is suggested to the health center in collaboration with the School Health Unit (UKS) can use the comics medium as a communication medium nutrition in educational activities and health education about healthy breakfast to change the behavior of elementary school students in eating a healthy breakfast in the morning before the activity. Abstract

Red rice and arrowroot are functional foods that have great benefits, but the level of awareness and consumption remains low. This food can be processed into noodles, one of the more preferred foods. In this study apply the concept of glycemic index that emphasizes the importance of choosing the right foods to improve and maintain health based on the speed of rising blood sugar levels. Type of research is experiment. The acceptability test with organoleptic test to see the panelist’s preference level against the test food. Subjects in the acceptability test amount to 30 people and 8 volunteers to glycemic index analysis. The glycemic index is calculated by comparing the area under the food test curve with reference food. The object of this research is the noodles from red rice (50% red rice flour, 50% flour), noodles from arrowroot (15% arrowroot flour, 85% flour), noodles from red rice and arrowroot (35% red rice flour, 15% arrowroot flour, 50% flour). Nutritional content seen include carbohydrate, protein, fat and coarse fiber.The glycemic index values ​​of the three test food are in low category where the lowest is the red rice noodle 25,39%, arrowroot noodle 36,26% and red rice and arrowroot noodle 33%. Arrowroot noodle contains the highest 91.40% carbohydrate and 5.3% protein, the lowest fat 2.33% in red rice noodle and the highest coarse fiber found in red rice and arrowroot noodle 0.75%. Result of organoleptic test, panelist like red rice and arrowroot noodle the most in aroma, flavor and texture indicator of which each have score 67,7%, 65,5%, 68,8% with likes criteria, while for color panelist like arrowroot noodle the most that have score of 66.5% with likes criteria. The resulting noodles can be an alternative for staple foods. Red rice noodle can be recommended for diabetics, while red rice and arrowroot noodle can be consumed in society because it has the highest score in the acceptability test.
