Abstract

This research aims to analyze the validity of learning tools based on guided inquiry learning on respiratory system material. Research and development of the ADDIE model were used in this research. This research was limited to the "develop" stage, which was limited to the results of expert validation tests. The learning tools developed include lesson plans (four meetings), student worksheets (four meetings), and tests (a total of six items in the form of essays). Two experts and one practitioner validated the learning tool—analysis by calculating the acquisition score based on the validator's assessment. The findings reveal that the lesson plans, student worksheets, and tests have been proven valid according to validity standards. This research concludes that inquiry-based learning tools are valid based on expert assessment. Thus, learning tools based on guided inquiry are suitable for biology learning in high school, especially material on the respiratory system.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the implementation of meaning learning, activities and students' responses while they are involved in learning. This research is a quantitative type with a total of 24 students as subjects. The subject is a student at a junior high school in Pinolosian District, South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Data collection used an observation sheet on learning implementation with 23 aspects, observation of student activities with 6 aspects, and a student response questionnaire with 20 questions. Data was analyzed using the percentage of each acquisition score. The research results show that the implementation of learning is good (3.50 – 4.00), good student activities which are dominated by carrying out literacy activities (reading books) to collect answers. Student responses are positive (91.87) and negative (8.13). The research concludes that learning makes sense carried out well, students become active and they respond well to the learning that has been carried out. Meaning learning needs to be implemented in the classroom in order to create an active and enjoyable learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the feasibility of shared type integrated science learning tools based on aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness. This research uses the type of Borg and Gall R&D development modified by Sugiyono (2017). Data collection techniques are by means of observation, questionnaires and tests. The results of the validity of learning tools (RPP, LKPD, TES) obtained an average of 95.6%, 92.4% and 95.3% in the very valid category. The students' response to the shared type of integrated science learning tools obtained a percentage of 92.9% in the very good category. The percentage of student activity achieved was 82.7% in the very good category. And student learning outcomes obtained an N-Gain of 0.63 with medium criteria. From the data obtained, it can be concluded that the integrated science learning device type, shared material on the human respiratory system and the concept of vibration, has met the criteria of being valid, practically effective, so it is suitable for use in science learning at school.

Abstract

Based on the results of a researcher interview with one of the biology teachers at SMAN 3 Gorontalo, science process skills  have been applied before, but in their implementation they do not get maximum results so that science process skills in students do not develop. The purpose of the study was to improve the science process skills of students who used the Discovery Learning model on virus material. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with Pre-Experimental Design research methods and One group pretest and posttest designs. The subjects in this study were 31 students of grade X-4 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo. The indicators of science process skills observed in this study consist of aspects of observing, interpreting, applying concepts, grouping, and communicating. The results obtained the average pretest score was 45.21%, and the average posttest score was 77.75%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the science process skills of grade X students of SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo can be improved through the application of the Discovery Learning model

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes through the implementation of the Reading Questioning and Answering (RQA) teaching method on the topic of interactions between living organisms and their environment at SMP Negeri 1 Tilango. This research is a pre-experimental study involving only one class as the experimental class. The study was conducted over two sessions. Data were collected using observation and testing techniques. The data analysis techniques used include the analysis of learning implementation, student activity analysis, and cognitive learning outcome analysis. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Reading Questioning and Answering (RQA) teaching method can enhance the cognitive learning outcomes of Grade VII.3 students at SMP Negeri 1 Tilango.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu mendeskripsikan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir siswa pada materi Pesawat Sederhana. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Mootilango. Kemampuan peserta didik diukur menggunakan Indikator Taksonomi SOLO. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, eksprerimen semu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan lembar tes. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan Kemampuan Berpikir peserta didik setelah diajarkan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada Materi Pesawat Sederhana menyatakan: Kemampuan berpikir peserta didik pada level Unistruktural dengan persentase 58,75%, termasuk dalam kriteria baik. Kemampuan berpikir peserta didik pada level  Multistruktural dengan persentase 40%, termasuk dalam kriteria cukup baik. Kemampuan berpikir peserta didik di level Relasional dengan persentase 1,25%, termasuk dalam kriteria kurang. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik sebagian besar masih berada pada tingkat rendah, kemudian diikuti peserta didik yang berkemampuan sedang, peserta didik yang berkemampuan tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning concentration by using audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and Classical Music on Fungi material. The hypothesis studied in this study is that there is an effect of utilizing audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and classical music on increasing the concentration of learning of high school students at 1 Kabila. The research method used is quasi experiment. The research design is Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The population in the study were all students of class X SMAN 1 Kabila, which were taken using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant difference between before and after treatment. Because there is a difference, it is said that there is an effect of utilizing audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and classical music on students' learning concentration with a statistically significant p-value that is lower (p = 0.000) < than the alpha value  = 0.05. This is also reflected in the improvement of students' learning outcomes which shows that both methods are at the level of quite effective, with an N-Gain value of Murottal Al-Qur'an of 64.49% and Classical Music of 60.73%. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of utilizing audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and classical music on increasing the learning concentration of students of SMA Negeri 1 Kabila.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perangkat pembelajaran IPA SMP yang valid, praktis dan efektif menggunakan model Inkuiri Terbimbing pada materi pesawat sederhana. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Gorontalo semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa 1) perangkat yang dikembangkan valid berdasarkan lembar validasi dengan rata-rata 3,65. 2) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan praktis berdasarkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sangat baik dengan rata-rata 97,5% dan respon peserta didik mencapai 96%  dengan kategori sangat baik. 3) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan efektif berdasarkan aktivitas siswa mencapai 74% dengan kriteria baik dan rata-rata persentase hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebesar 63,20% dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi pesawat sederhana dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci : inkuiri terbimbing; IPA; perangkat pembelajaran. This research aims to describe valid, practical and effective junior high school science learning tools using the Guided Inquiry model on simple plane material. This research is a type of research and development. The research was carried out in class VIII of Muhammadiyah 3 Middle School, Gorontalo City, odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research results showed that 1) the device developed was valid based on the validation sheet with an average of 3,65. 2) The learning tools developed are practical based on very good learning implementation with an average of 97.5% and student responses reaching 96% in the very good category. 3) The learning tools developed were effective based on student activities reaching 74% with good criteria and the average percentage of students' cognitive learning outcomes was 63.20% in the high category. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the science learning tool used the Guided Inquiry learning model to improve students' cognitive abilities in simple plane material and was suitable for use in the learning process in simple. Keywords: guided inquiry; IPA; learning tools.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen hanya menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest design. Tempat pelaksanaan penelitian di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Gorontalo kelas VIII dengan subjek penelitian kelas VIII B dengan jumlah siswa 29. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar dilakukan berdasarkan penilaian hasil test.  Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji normalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji n-gain. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diketahui harga thitung  dan ttabel pada  kelas VIII B yaitu ttabel 9,41602E-20 dan thitung -23,0583018 maka dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis pada kelas VIII B yaitu thitung < ttabel untuk taraf α = 0.05. Di mana kriteria pengambilan keputusan yaitu Ha diterima atau H0 ditolak. Sehingga keputusan yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Gorontalo. Dilihat dari rata-rata nilai pretest 13,84 dan posttest 52,33 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan menggunakan model discovery learning materi konsep gerak. Berdasarkan pengujian dengan skor nilai gain ternormalisasi (N-Gain) sebesar 0.5 Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning berpengaruh positif dengan n-gain kriteria sedang. Kata kunci: discovery learning; hasil belajar siswa ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning model on students’ cognitive learning outcomes. The research subjects are students in grade VIII B totaling 29 students. The collection of data on learning outcomes was carried out based on the assessment of test results. Research data analysis used the normality test,hypotesis testing, and N-Gain test. Based on the hypothesis testing, it is found that the value t-table in grade VIII B is 9,41602E-20 and the t-count is -23,0583018. Based on the hypothesis testing in grade VIII B, the c-count > t-table at a level of  = 0,05. Therefore, h0 is accepted, and h1 is rejected. In other words, the discovery learning model influences students’ cognitive learning outcomes in grade VIII B of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gorontalo City. Based on the average pretest score of 13,84 and posttest of 52,33, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student’s cognitive learning outcomes using the discovery learning model on the concept of motion material. Based on testing with a normalized gain (N-Gain) score of 0,5. This shows that learning using the discovery learning model positively influences moderate N-Gain criteria. Keywords: discovery learning; students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Natural disasters like earthquakes, tidal floods, and strong winds frequently occur in coastal areas, necessitating disaster mitigation. Coastal biodiversity can serve as a tool for disaster mitigation in coastal areas. SMK Negeri 1 Batudaa Pantai, located in the coastal area of Tomini Bay, Gorontalo Province, conducts community service activities regarding the use of coastal biodiversity as disaster mitigation due to the importance of this knowledge for coastal communities. This activity was attended by 41 students from classes X and XI at SMK Negeri 1 Batudaa Pantai. On May 20, 2024, the SMK Negeri 1 Batudaa Pantai school building hosted the activity from 8:00 WITA until its conclusion. Lecture, discussion, and active participation are methods used in activities. Service activities run well and smoothly. Participants were enthusiastic about participating in this activity, which provided benefits. This activity benefits participants by enhancing their understanding of how to utilize coastal biodiversity to prevent unwanted natural disasters. The importance of knowing coastal biodiversity as disaster mitigation can minimize the occurrence of natural disasters in coastal areas.
