Abstract

This study aims to produce electronic teaching materials based on blended learning enriched virtual models that are valid, practical, and effective in improving students' cognitive abilities. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The subjects in this study were 15 students of class VIII junior high school. Two expert validators and one practitioner carry out validation to assess the product from the aspects of presentation, content, and language. Practicality is assessed based on the implementation of learning, student activities, and student responses to electronic teaching materials. Effectiveness is assessed based on THB. The study results obtained: (1) The design of electronic teaching material products discusses the structure and function of the organs of the human respiratory system equipped with images, audio, and video. (2) The validation of these electronic teaching materials obtained an average score of 93% (very valid). (3) The practicality test score from the learning implementation results obtained 100% (very good), the student activity score was 89.5% (very good), and the student response results obtained 95% (very good). (4) The effectiveness test results based on N-Gain analysis obtained an average score of 0.7 medium criteria. Thus, the electronic teaching materials developed are suitable for learning support to improve students' cognitive abilities in the human respiratory system material. The research implies that it can be of information for broader research.

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul ‘’Hubungan Kekerabatan Fenetik Lima Anggota Familia Araceae’’ telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei tahun 2022. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan kekerabatan fenetik lima anggota familia Araceae. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan metode deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini lima spesies anggota familia Araceae antara lain yaitu Aglonema crispum, Caladium bicolor, Aglonema harlequin, Monsfera abliqua, Dieffenbachia seguine. Parameter yang digunakan yaitu ciri morfologi akar, batang, dan daun. Analisis data melalui perhitungan Indeks Similaritas (IS). Selanjudnya dilakukan Analisis Cluster untuk mengelompokkan tanaman yang memiliki kesamaan karakteristik dari lima spesies. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekerabatan yang sangat dekat terdapat pada kombinasi spesies Aglonema crispum dengan Caladium bicolor pada koefisien kesamaan 0,77%. Aglonema harlequin berkerabat dengan Aglonema crispum dan Caladium bicolor pada koefisien kesamaan 0,76% dan ketiganya berkerabat dengan Monsfera abliqua pada koefisien kesamaan 0,74%. Monsfera abliqua berkerabat dekat dengan Dieffenbachia seguine pada koefisien 0,64%. Sedangkan hubungan kekerabatan yang jauh ditunjukkan pada kombinasi spesies Aglonema crispum dan Dieffenbachia seguine.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the increase in student’s ecoliteracy skills through the implementation of stop motion graphic animation video as the learning media on the subject matter of environmental change. In conducting the study, it used the Pre-experiment method in the form of a quasi-experiment, one group pretest-posttest. The results of this study showed that, there was a significant increase in students’ ecoliteracy skills obtained in pretest by students before implementing the stop motion graphic animation media as 71.2. Meanwhile, the implementationof it showed an increase as the result of the posttestobtained an increased average value of 90.1. The use of stop motion graphic animation was applicable to be used as one of the learning media in biology. This was because it fostered students’ interest in the learning process. Therefore, based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the stop motion graphic animation video can be used to improve students’ ecoliteracy skills significantly

Abstract

The study aims to describe the validity, practicality and determine the effectiveness of flipbook-type e-modules based on stunting case studies to improve the concept mastery on digestive system material. This research uses research and development methods modified. Data collection techniques using observation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The trial was conducted on 37 students of Class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. The research results found: (1) validity tests is in “Very Good” category based on the percentage of content/material validation of 87.50% and construction validation of 98.00% (2) practicality test is in "Very Good" category based on the percentage of learning implementation of 92.63%, student activity of 90.22%, teachers responded of 96.00%, and students response of 98.96% (3) effectiveness test based on the results of small group N-Gain score analysis worth of 0.70 (Effective). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the flipbook-type e-module based on stunting case studies to improve concept mastery on digestive system material meets the valid, practical and effective criteria so that it is suitable for use in Biology learning to improves students concept mastery on digestive system material at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila

Abstract

Olele village in Kabila Bone district is among the villages located in the southern coastal area of the province of Gorontalo. The majority of people there work as fishermen and farmers. Nike fish (Awaous melanocephalus) and moringa (Moringa oleifera) are the common natural resources in Olele village. The objective of this mentoring project was to enhance the food processing skills of the local community by disseminating steps in processing moringa nike fish nugget and the potential of the leaves of a moringa as the ingredient of moringa leaf cake. Its steps included 1) preparation, 2) program implementation, and 3) evaluation. Based on the results, the mentoring program contributed to the enhancement of both knowledge and skills of the participants in processing nugget of moringa nike fish. The participants were also aware of the potential of the leaf moringa as an ingredient of a healthy diet. Further, all participants were able to make moringa nike fish nugget and moringa leaf cake. These two food products received a positive reception from all panelists. In the end, all participants would improve all of the food products through their home-based food business. This was also to support the food business program in their village.

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to produce learning tools in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD) and Creative Thinking Tests oriented to inquiry learning models that are, practical and effective, so that they can be used in the learning process. The results showed that the quality of the products produced based on practicality aspects in limited trials met very practical criteria with an average value of 95. In the broad trial it met very practical criteria with an average score of 100 and the response assessment of learners got a score of 50 on the limited trial and a score of 101 on the broad trial. The results of the creative thinking test field test are limited to the average value of the pretest answers, namely the Elaboration indicator at 5.3%, then the Fluency indicator at 3.3%, then Flexibility at 3.1% and the lowest is Originality at 0.2%. The average results of the post-test answers to students' creative thinking ability in the limited test found that the most percentage was the Fluency indicator at 15.9%, then the Elaboration indicator at 12.6%, then Flexibility at 6.3% and the lowest was Originality at 1%. In the main field test, the average value of the pretest answer is the Fluency indicator of 2.9%, then the Elaboration indicator of 2.6%, then Flexibility of 2.4% and the lowest is Originality, which is 0.1%. The average result of the post-test answers to the creative thinking ability of students in the main field test was found that the most percentage was the Fluency indicator of 5.2%, then the Elaboration indicator of 4.8%, then Flexibility of 3.9% and the lowest was Originality, which was 1%.

Abstract

The crux of this study involves the formulation of a project-based learning model using the STEM approach, aimed at delineating the efficacy parameters for augmenting students' creative thinking proficiencies within the context of SMK Negeri Model Gorontalo. Employing a Research and Development framework, the study encompasses successive phases of inquiry, including preliminary investigation, blueprinting, compositional arrangement of the preliminary prototype, validation of the prototype, experimental implementation, and finalization of the product. The findings reveal that the efficacy facet of the project-based model coupled with the STEM approach falls within the range of 0.3 < g < 0.7, thereby situating it within the intermediate classification. This inference is substantiated by the discerned n-gain percentage scores denoting the progression in creative thinking capabilities. Furthermore, outcomes stemming from student questionnaires administered during the limited scope field trials exhibit a response rate of 87%, whereas the broader public field testing elicits an 85.8% response rate. These affirmative percentages, as gleaned from student feedback, corroborate the efficaciousness of the project-based instructional model fortified by the STEM approach in fostering the augmentation of students' creative thinking proficiencies.

Abstract

Modul merupakan komponen krusial dari bahan ajar yang memerlukan inovasi. Pengembangan modul yang inovatif, baik dari segi konten maupun bentuk yang dapat disesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi, sangat penting agar peserta didik memiliki panduan yang jelas dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, berdasarkan identifikasi masalah yang dilakukan di SMP Kecamatan Wonosari, ditemukan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan di sekolah sebagian besar hanya terdiri dari buku yang diterbitkan oleh beberapa penerbit dan guru-guru masih kurang mengembangkan modul ajarnya sendiri. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan penyusunan modul kreatif dan inovatif berbasis studi kasus dilakukan untuk menambah wawasan guru dalam membuat inovasi pada pengembangan bahan ajar dengan memanfaatkan teknologi berupa aplikasi Canva yang ada di SMP Kecamatan Wonosari, Kabupaten Boalemo, Provinsi Gorontalo. Kegiatan Pelatihan dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Wonosari, dihadiri oleh 3 orang dosen dan 25 orang peserta yang merupakan guru SMP dari berbagai sekolah yang ada di Kecamatan Wonosari. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan melalui 3 tahapan mulai dari tanggal 26 Juni sampai 17 Juli 2023. Ketiga tahapan tersebut meliputi taha persiapan dengan mengidentifikasi masalah terkait keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan modul ajar di SMP di Kecamatan Wonosari yang dilakukan dengan wawancara, kemudian tahap pelaksanaan dengan melaksanakan pelatihan penyusunan modul secara tatap muka dan tahap evaluasi dengan meminta peserta pelatihan agar mengisi kuisioner untuk mengetahui respon guru terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan penyusunan modul. Pada tahap ini didapatkan hasil respon guru terhadap pelatihan penyusunan modul dengan rata-rata respon sangat baik. Respon ini diharapkan dapat menjadi gambaran bahwa pelatihan penyusunan modul kreatif dan inovatif berbasis studi kasus dengan canva dapat menambah wawasan guru dalam mengembangkan modul ajar yang inovatif

Abstract

Based on the results of a researcher interview with one of the biology teachers at SMAN 3 Gorontalo, science process skills  have been applied before, but in their implementation they do not get maximum results so that science process skills in students do not develop. The purpose of the study was to improve the science process skills of students who used the Discovery Learning model on virus material. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with Pre-Experimental Design research methods and One group pretest and posttest designs. The subjects in this study were 31 students of grade X-4 SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo. The indicators of science process skills observed in this study consist of aspects of observing, interpreting, applying concepts, grouping, and communicating. The results obtained the average pretest score was 45.21%, and the average posttest score was 77.75%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the science process skills of grade X students of SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo can be improved through the application of the Discovery Learning model

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu mendeskripsikan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir siswa pada materi Pesawat Sederhana. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Mootilango. Kemampuan peserta didik diukur menggunakan Indikator Taksonomi SOLO. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, eksprerimen semu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan lembar tes. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan Kemampuan Berpikir peserta didik setelah diajarkan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada Materi Pesawat Sederhana menyatakan: Kemampuan berpikir peserta didik pada level Unistruktural dengan persentase 58,75%, termasuk dalam kriteria baik. Kemampuan berpikir peserta didik pada level  Multistruktural dengan persentase 40%, termasuk dalam kriteria cukup baik. Kemampuan berpikir peserta didik di level Relasional dengan persentase 1,25%, termasuk dalam kriteria kurang. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik sebagian besar masih berada pada tingkat rendah, kemudian diikuti peserta didik yang berkemampuan sedang, peserta didik yang berkemampuan tinggi.
