Abstract

Abstract

In order to organize a good and integrated population administration system, accurate and valid population data is needed because population data can be used as a basis for development planning, both short and long term. There are still many people who are not aware of the importance of population documents and the accuracy of population data for purposes of administering public services, and there are still many people who do not understand population administration service procedures. Regarding community conditions like this, lecturers and students at Merdeka University, Ponorogo Regency Campus are trying to participate in community service activities in socializing conscious and orderly population administration movements in the Ponorogo Regency area. The aim of this activity is to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of population documents in everyday life, the public understands the procedures for processing population administration documents and the public is more orderly in reporting if there are changes to their population data. This method of implementing community service uses a participatory method, namely through lectures, discussions and consultations, which allows the service team to interact, communicate intensively, discuss and ask questions directly with the community. By building public awareness of orderly administration, especially population administration, population data can become more accurate and valid so that data in the Population Administration Information System becomes more perfect.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the dynasty politics of Ratu Atut's family on political ethics in regional head elections in Banten Province. The growing dynasty politics in this region have strengthened the dominance of family power in various sectors, limited public participation, and hampered the regeneration of healthy leadership. The research method used is a qualitative literature study approach, where data were collected through participant observation and analysis of historical and contemporary documents. The results show that dynasty politics in Banten worsens political ethics by ignoring the principles of justice, equality, and transparency in regional head elections. The practices of nepotism and collusion that occur reduce the effectiveness of democracy and worsen the quality of governance. This study suggests the need for regulations that limit the practice of political dynasties so that regional head elections can be carried out based on the competence and integrity of prospective leaders, rather than on family relationships.

Abstract

This study compares the civic education systems in Hong Kong and Indonesia, analyzing their historical development, curriculum structures, and educational goals. The research employs a literature review approach, utilizing secondary sources such as academic books, peer-reviewed journals, and policy documents to compare the educational frameworks of both regions. The findings reveal that Hong Kong’s civic education has evolved within the context of its transition from British colonial rule to becoming a Special Administrative Region of China, with a focus on fostering national identity and legal compliance under the “One Country, Two Systems” framework. In contrast, Indonesia’s civic education has developed in response to its independence, emphasizing Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, and democratic values. The study identifies key differences in curriculum content, evaluation systems, and learning objectives, showing how each country’s civic education reflects its socio-political environment. The research underscores the importance of contextualizing civic education in the formation of responsible citizens who are equipped to address global challenges. This comparative study offers valuable insights for enhancing civic education curricula in both countries and globally.

Abstract

Bone waste is a sustainable, calcium-rich resource for the production of hydroxyapatite (HA), a biomaterial widely used in dental and bone tissue engineering. This systematic review evaluates recent advances in the extraction, transformation, and biological performance of HA derived from bone waste. A total of 20 records were initially identified, of which 11 full-text articles met the eligibility criteria and were included in the qualitative synthesis. The reviewed studies demonstrate that bone waste can be effectively converted into HA through several routes, including thermal-based extraction (calcination, annealing, and sintering at 600–1000°C), alkaline hydrolysis, and hydrothermal or microwave-assisted methods, enabling the production of micro- and nano-sized HA with high purity. Post-extraction functionalization, such as ion doping (Mg²⁺, Na⁺, Co²⁺), drug loading, and composite formation, further enhances osteogenic, antimicrobial, and mechanical properties. Physicochemical characterization using XRD and FTIR consistently confirmed the formation of non-stoichiometric, ion-substituted HA with Ca/P ratios ranging from 1.6 to 1.9, closely resembling biogenic apatite. The presence of multiscale porosity (25–65%) and nano-scale features promotes protein adsorption, ion exchange, and cellular interactions. In vitro studies confirmed cytocompatibility, while ALP activity and mineralization assays demonstrated strong osteogenic potential. Overall, bone waste–derived HA offers biomimetic, functional, and environmentally sustainable alternatives for dental and maxillofacial applications.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between political ethics education and legal awareness on students’ political culture within the context of university organizations. A correlational quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. The participants consisted of 30 undergraduate students actively involved in campus organizations, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire that met validity and reliability requirements (α = 0.79–0.85). Multiple regression analysis was conducted after fulfilling classical assumptions. The results indicate that political ethics education has a positive and significant effect on students’ political culture (β = 0.621; p < 0.01), as does legal awareness (β = 0.412; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables explain 85.5% of the variance in political culture (R² = 0.855; p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the internalization of political ethics and legal understanding plays a crucial role in shaping students’ democratic participation. However, the results should be interpreted cautiously due to the limited sample size and non-random sampling.
