Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped the global trade landscape, with e-commerce in Indonesia experiencing rapid growth. Impulse buying decisions in the digital context have become a dominant phenomenon. This study aims to analyze the influence of live streaming, content marketing, and online customer reviews on impulse buying behavior among Shopee users, as well as to identify the underlying psychological mechanisms of these relationships. The research adopts a quantitative paradigm with a descriptive design. The sample consists of active Shopee users in Bantul Regency, selected using an accidental sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that online customer reviews have the strongest influence on impulse buying on Shopee, followed by live streaming and content marketing. All three variables are proven to have a significant joint effect on impulse buying decisions. To optimize impulse buying on the Shopee platform, businesses should strategically leverage positive customer reviews and enhance interactive live-streaming features to increase consumer purchasing interest.

Abstract

Background: Streptococcus sanguinis is an oral commensal bacterium commonly found in periodontal lesions and deep abscesses that are usually dominated by anaerobic bacteria. As an important causative agent of systemic diseases, and with the increasingly numerous cases of antimicrobial resistance, some means of modulating the immune response to bacterial infection is thus necessary. Phyllanthus niruri Linn is widely used as a medicinal herb to both prevent and treat disease and demonstrates immunomodulatory properties. Purpose: This study aimed to observe the potential for aqueous extract of Phylanthus niruri to induce macrophage proliferation and NO production following S. sanguinis infection. Methods: Macrophages were isolated from the peripheral blood of healthy subjects, stimulated with P. niruri aqueous extract in graded doses and infected with S. sanguinis ATCC 10556 bacterial suspension. Cell proliferation and nitric oxide release was observed at 24 and 48 hours to determine macrophage activities. Results: NO production and cell proliferation started to increase upon 50 and 100µg/ml P niruri respective stimulation. Statistical analysis using One-way Anova demonstrated a significant difference of cell proliferation after stimulation with P. niruri aqueous extract at various doses (p<0.05). Conclusion: P. niruri aqueous extract induced macrophage proliferation and NO secretion upon S sanguinis infection, showing potential antibacterial and immunomodulatory activities. At the same concentrations, NO production and macrophage were higher at 48 hours than at 24 hours.

Abstract

Introduction: Some analgesic drugs may have adverse effects on bone remodelling and, thus, on orthodontic tooth movement rate (OTM). GV-0 is synthesized by reacting vanillin and cyclopentanone catalyzed in acidic condition, and it has been revealed as a selective COX-2 inhibitor. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of pentagamavunon-0 (PGV-0), one of the curcumin analogues, on OTM. Methods: This study was conducted on 50 male Wistar rats (350-450 g) which were randomly divided into five groups (n = 10 each): 1) no treatment group (NT), 2) orthodontic treatment only (ORT), 3) ORT plus 0.4% sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na-CMC) analgesic carrier, 4) ORT plus 200 mg/kg BW Paracetamol (PCT) as the positive control, and 5) ORT plus PGV-0 (50 mg/kg BW (PGV-0). Results: Drug and day interaction was statistically significant on two-way ANOVA. Post-hoc analyses showed that OTM increased from day 3 to 7 in all orthodontic groups over the same distance (p>0.05). Maximum OTM was found on day 6, which was significantly farther than the distance on day 4. On day 7, OTM was less than on day 6. OTM in all orthodontic groups, including in the PGV-0 group, was higher than in the NT group (p<0.05). No differences was seen in OTM between PGV-0 group and other orthodontic groups (p>0.05). Post-hoc analysis (intra days) revealed that OTM in PGV-0 and other orthodontic treatment groups increased. Conclusion: After a single orthodontic force, PGV-0 does not inhibit tooth movement in rats from day 1 to day 7. Therefore, it is possible to develop PGV-0 as an alternative analgesics during orthodontic therapy. Keywords: Analgesic drug, orthodontics, tooth movement, curcumin.

Abstract

Using a disclosing agent to control plaque is one way to improve dental health and oral tissue. However, this material is not widely known to the public. Red dragon fruit, a mainstay commodity in Blitar Regency, contains betalain which can be used as an alternative disclosure agent. Therefore, the people of Blitar Regency need to be empowered to maintain dental and oral health regarding the potential of dragon fruit as an alternative natural ingredient. The aim is to provide education regarding the potential benefits of dragon fruit as a disclosure agent. The strategy used in this activity is dual media intervention by dentists, namely by using interactive lectures with PowerPoint media and booklet media to community groups in, Blitar Regency. To measure the level of knowledge of the target community, questionnaires were given before and after the activity, as well as checking the OHI-S index. The research results showed that the level of the OHI-S index was in the medium category, while the level of community knowledge showed an increase of 56.78% after being given counseling. This shows that providing dental and oral health education using PowerPoint media and booklet media has proven to be effective in increasing public knowledge. Therefore, it can be concluded that providing education on the use of red dragon fruit as a disclosing agent to the people of Blitar Regency has proven effective in increasing knowledge, so it is hoped that it can improve the community's dental and oral hygiene.

Abstract

Taxes serve as the primary source of state revenue and a crucial component in financing national development through the State Budget (APBN). This study examines the determinants of individual taxpayer compliance within the Klaten Primary Tax Office (KPP) in Central Java, with particular emphasis on the influence of awareness, comprehension of regulations, and understanding of tax sanctions. The research method uses a quantitative associative approach. Primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents using a nonprobability sampling technique, using the accidental sampling method. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results show that awareness, understanding of regulations, and comprehension of tax sanctions have a statistically significant effect on individual taxpayer compliance, both partially and simultaneously. The adjusted R value illustrates the model's ability to explain the data at 64.7%. To improve taxpayer compliance, tax authorities are advised to routinely conduct sustainable and easily accessible tax education programs, enforce tax sanctions consistently and transparently, and be supported by awareness campaigns for taxpayers in fulfilling their responsibilities to the state.

Abstract

MSME business actors often set the selling price of household products incorrectly because the selling price of goods is only based on the owner's assumptions, not based on calculations and accounting rules. As a result, many micro businesses experience losses due to incorrect sales price assessments so that their sales income is not enough to cover all production costs. PKK women who manage household businesses sometimes lack knowledge about how to correctly assess the selling price of their goods. Therefore, the aim of this community service activity is to educate PKK cadres in Teras Boyolali sub-district about the basics of determining product selling prices in accordance with cost accounting principles and the importance of using cost accounting skills in micro businesses. In this way, PKK women are expected to be able to determine the selling price using the cost-plus pricing method. This approach is popular because it is easier for beginners and quite useful for setting selling prices appropriately.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of investment knowledge and investment returns on investment interest in the capital market through risk perception as an intervening variable of STIE STEKOM Kartasura students. This type of research is a quntitative research conducted in December 2024. The sample required is 81 people with a 10% leniency. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling using accidental sampling. Data collection is carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis in this study employs the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach, which encompasses the stages of the Outer Model evaluation, Inner Model evaluation, and hypothesis testing through the bootstrapping method. This study shows that investment knowledge, investment returns, and risk perception all have a positive and significant influence on students' interest in investing in the capital market. The findings also reveal that risk perception acts as a bridge (mediator) between investment knowledge and investment returns toward investment interest. In short, students who are more knowledgeable and have higher expectations of returns, and who also perceive risk clearly, tend to be more interested in investing. Implications and recommendations: Students are encouraged to improve their understanding of investment, especially related to risk and returns, so they can make wiser financial decisions in the capital market.
