Abstract

Abstract: This study identified student’s difficulty on doing test about work and energy. This study was conducted on 68 high school students at 11th grade who had took work and energy material. Type of this research was descriptive with survey method. Technique of collecting data was test with 15 items two tier's instruments which have been validated by expert. The student’s reasons in answering were used to identify possible causes of errors. Test result showed that the average student's test score is 50.65 with a scale of 100. Common difficulties for students were applying multiplication of the dot product force acting on objects and the movement objects when the movement of objects is presented through graphs, applying work-kinetic energy theorems, misinterpreting relations of gravity and height of objects on the incline, and determine the graph relation of energy with height object as a description of the movement of objects with parabolic paths and influenced by the external forces of the system. This finding can be used as a reference to overcome student difficulties through appropriate learning strategies. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan siswa SMA dalam mengerjakan soal-soal usaha energi. Penelitian dilakukan pada 68 siswa SMA kelas XI yang telah menempuh materi usaha-energi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan metode survei. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dengan instrumen berupa soal pilihan ganda beralasan berjumlah 15 butir yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Alasan siswa dalam menjawab digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kemungkinan penyebab kesalahan. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa skor tes rata-rata siswa adalah 50,65 dengan skala 100. Kesulitan yang umum terjadi pada siswa yaitu menerapkan perkalian dot product gaya yang bekerja pada benda serta perpindahan benda jika pergerakan benda disajikan melalui grafik, menerapkan teorema usaha energi kinetik, salah memaknai hubungan usaha oleh gaya gravitasi dengan ketinggian benda pada bidang miring, serta menentukan grafik hubungan energi dan ketinggian yang benar sebagai deskripsi pergerakan benda dengan lintasan parabola dan dipengaruhi gaya eksternal sistem. Temuan ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi untuk mengatasi kesulitan-kesulitan siswa melalui strategi pembelajaran yang tepat.

Abstract

Abstract: A good conceptual understanding can help students in solving a problem, because with good conceptual understanding can precisely know the appropriate concept to be used in solving a problem. Static fluid is one of the most complex and fundamental topics in physics learning. However, there are still misconceptions experienced by students regarding this material such as the buoyant force and pressure principle. Therefore, an evaluation of static fluid material for students who have followed this material learning beforehand, to know whether the concept has been precise and meaningful. The method used is qualitative descriptive in the form of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to see the percentage of conceptual understanding of 100 students in SMAN 1 Turen. Percentage conceptual understanding on fluid static material can be described as follows, as much as 33,2% student still wrong concept, 40% of student already understood concept and 26,8% student still did not give the reason. Abstrak: Penguasaan konsep yang baik dapat membantu siswa dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan, karena dengan penguasaan konsep yang baik dapat secara tepat mengetahui konsep yang sesuai untuk digunakan dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan. Fluida statis merupakan salah satu topik dalam pembelajaran fisika yang cukup kompleks dan mendasar. Namun masih saja terdapat miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa mengenai materi ini misalnya tentang gaya apung dan prinsip tekanan. Maka dari itu diperlukan evaluasi mengenai materi fluida statis bagi siswa yang telah mengikuti pembelajaran materi ini sebelumnya, untuk mengetahui apakah konsep yang dimilikinya sudah tepat dan bermakna. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif berupa analisis kualitatif maupun analisis kuantitatif untuk melihat presentase penguasaan konsep 100 siswa di SMAN 1 Turen. Persentase penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi fluida statis dapat dijabarkan sebagai berikut, sebanyak 33,2% siswa masih salah konsep, 40% siswa sudah paham konsep dan 26,8% siswa masih tidak mengemukakan alasannya.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the difficulties experienced by students in mastering Static Fluid concept. This study used descriptive quantitative method with 48 students of Physics Education Department. The instrument of this research was 13 reasoned-multiple choice questions. According to the results, although there was an improvement, most students were difficult to understand certain concepts. This research revelaed some difficulties experienced by students on static fluid concept. Among others are students failed to portray the forces that worked on certain object in fluid, then as a result, they failed to determine the ratio of pressure. In addition, the students were difficult to determine the changing of water pressure on the closed vessel based on the main law of hydrostatics and Pascal’s Law.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memetakan penguasaan konsep dan mengetahui miskonsepsi mahasiswa calon guru fisika terkait materi gerak dan gaya menggunakan instrumen Force Concept Inventory (FCI). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes kepada mahasiswa calon guru fisika tahun pertama di Jurusan Fisika UM sebanyak 95 mahasiswa. Hasil analisis jawaban dari instrumen yang diberikan menunjukkan kecenderungan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa masih mempercayai pemikiran logis yang berdasar pada kuantitas fisik dan belum menggunakan konsep fisika untuk menjawab. Beberapa konsep fisika terkait dengan gerak dan gaya yang cukup dikuasai oleh mahasiswa antara lain gerak melingkar, gerak parabola, hukum II Newton, dan hukum III Newton, sedangkan konsep yang masih perlu diberikan penguatan lebih diantaranya gerak vertikal baik ke atas maupun ke bawah  dan kebeadaan gaya kontak dan interaksi gaya benda satu dengan benda yang lain. Setelah diperoleh pemetaan penguasaan konsep dan miskonsepsi mahasiswa calon guru fisika, perlu dikembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan miskonsepsi mahasiswa berdasarkan karakteristik masing-masing materi fisika.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Distribution activities (place) are one main problem that a company has to face, beside of price, promotion and product (4p), so the market (society) can accept the product. Company must place its product on the right place, and it means: The nearer the product to the market, the easier the consumer to find and consume it. For that reason, the company must keep a good relationship with the distribution channels because of their role as an intermediary between companies to its customers in all area. We cannot imagine, how difficult a company would be if the company must distribute its product directly by itself in all places. The major concentration of the company to produce good product will be disturbed because its interest was divided between production and distribution. To keep this relationship, the company must aware to see its distributor as a partner (mutual advantage) so that they will find it convenience to distribute the company product. This research adopted result of previous research which have done by Boyle et al., (1995) where he found out that Bureaucracy and Support from company are convenience factors, it means: it has influence in increasing distributors performance. On the other hand, Intervention from company is an inconvenience factor and has negatif impact to distributor performance. The technique of the analysis is using Structural Equation Model (SEM) that is used to examine 3 (three) hypothesis that has been developed. The numbers of sample taken in this research are 100 respondents. The result of the examination shows the positif impact between Bureaucracy and Support toward Distribution Performance and the negatif impact of Intervention toward Distribution Performance. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui spesifikasi ukuran morfometrik bagian kepala dan telinga antar bangsa kelinci New Zealand, Rex dan Flemish Giant dan menduga jarak genetik antar bangsa kelinci. Penelitian dilaksanakan tanggal 1 Agustus – 28 Oktober 2021 di daerah Jawa Tengah (Kabupaten Semarang, Kendal, Temanggung, Magelang) dan Yogyakarta. Materi yang digunakan 388 ekor kelinci, 229 ekor New Zealand, 99 ekor Rex dan 60 ekor Flemish Giant dengan kelompok umur yaitu (a) < 9 bulan; (b) 9 – 14 bulan; (c) 15 – 20 bulan; (d) > 20 bulan. Peneltian menggunakan alat yaitu pita ukur, ukur 0,1 cm dan jangka panjang yaitu 0,01 mm dan parameter yaitu panjang kepala, lebar kepala, panjang telinga dan lebar telinga. Data dianalisis dengan Analisis Multivariat pada Sistem Analisis Statistik (SAS) ver. Universitas dan MEGA 11 . Hasil analisis Komponen Utama menunjukkan parameter pembeda yaitu panjang kepala, lebar kepala, panjang telinga dan lebar telinga. Peta persebaran menunjukkan kelinci Rex berada di bawah axis X dan kiri axis Y, New Zealand berada di atas axis X dan di kiri axis Y, Flemish Giant berada di antara atas dan bawah axis X dan kanan axis Y. Nilai kesamaan yang besar pada kelinci Flemish Giant (98,33%,) New Zealand dan Rex tidak berbeda (82,10%) (81,82%). Jarak genetik terbesar kelinci Rex dengan Flemish Giant (38.015), kelinci New Zealand dengan Flemish Giant (32.394), jarak terkecil pada New Zealand dengan Rex (2.417).

Abstract

Scholars and practitioners point out that the current low level of employee engagement in the workplace is one of the most worrisome global economic problems. The potential consequence of this phenomenon is a decline in job performance. Therefore, it becomes essential to understand the concept of work engagement, its meaning for employees, and its implications for employers. This study examines the development of research on the topic of employee engagement. The study aims to determine: (1) the development of the number of international publications in the field of employee engagement in the Google Scholar database from 2016-2022; (2) core journals in international publications on the topic of employee engagement, (3) a map of the development of international publications in research fields with the topic of employee engagement, based on co-words. Collecting data by conducting searches through Publish or Perish (Pop) with the keyword’s employee, engagement, employee, with the category of the article title, abstract, and keywords in the period 2016-2022. Data in the form of the number of publications per year, publishers, and journals containing articles on employee engagement and subjects were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Meanwhile, the trend of topic mapping was analyzed using VosViewer software. The study results show that the 2016-2022 growth development of Google Scholar indexed articles in 2020 reached 193 publications (19.3%). Most international publications are published in the International Journal of Management Review as many as 17 articles. The results showed that the research on employee engagement was still dominated by transformational leadership and organizational culture. For further research, the authors suggest the need for additional data sources so that more research results are more accurate and comprehensive.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are relevant skills in the contemporary industrial 4.0 era. The current study aimed to investigate the correlation between critical thinking and representation skills and the extent to which the two variables are related. This study was conducted at UNDIKMA and UNW Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia between March and August 2020. It involved 62 students from the Department of Biology Education. The research data were gathered using essay questions on Plant Physiology. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson correlation test, followed by a simple linear regression analysis. The statistical analysis showed a correlation between critical thinking and representation skills among biology students (r = 0.948, p < 0.001, N = 62). The correlation was positive with regression equation Y = 12.122 + 0.835x. Therefore, educators are advised to promote critical thinking in the classroom to support student representation skills.

Abstract

This research was developmental research with aims to develop, knowing validity and practicability of thermodynamics e-book based on TPACK. This research was using 4D models and did only as far as develop step. The result based on 4D model steps were (1) Define produces task analysis to fulfil 21st century skill, (2) Design produces 2 product which are teacher book and student book, (3) Develop step produces result of validation and the last product (e-book/flipbook for teacher and student). Expert validation showed the teaching instructional material is valid, learning planning is valid, Content Representation is valid, and e-book is valid. 89,5% students responded this e-book very interesting. This e-book can be said quite practically. Limited trial and small experiment were carried out in one of class in senior high school of one Ngoro Mojokerto and concluded that the increase in the stabilization of sub-topic introduction to Temperature and the Thermodynamics Zero Low is high through the activity of comparing (Let’s Compare). Students can learn thermodynamics by keeping up with science and technology developments by this e-book. The practical benefit is helping the success of learning process carried out at school and home because e-books are provided in 2 forms, teacher book and student book.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine differences in students' concept mastery abilities and students' problem solving abilities in the material of effort and energy using inquiry learning with students who learned using conventional learning as well as the correlation between concept mastery abilities and students' energy and effort problem solving abilities. This research is a quantitative research with a Quasi Experiment research design and the research design is a nonequivalent control group design. This study involved an experimental class that used the Inquiry learning model with learning stages according to the Inquiry learning model syntax and a control class that used conventional learning with learning stages according to the learning model used by the teacher when teaching. Taking the research sample using random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used tests with physics concept mastery skill instruments in the form of 10 multiple choice questions and 5 physics problem solving questions in the form of description questions. The test data were obtained through the pretest and posttest which were then subjected to prerequisite tests. The prerequisite test results stated that the data were normally distributed, homogeneous, and the test was linear. The data that has passed the prerequisite test is then used to test the hypothesis using Ancova. The results of the data analysis test showed that there were significant differences in students' concept mastery and problem-solving abilities between classes using Inquiry learning and classes using conventional learning. In addition, the results of the research data analysis show that there is a correlation between the ability to master the concept and the ability to solve problems, which means there is a relationship between the ability to master the concept and the ability to solve problems. The conclusion of the research shows that inquiry learning on work and energy materials can improve students' concept mastery and problem-solving abilities
