Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of blended learning virtual learning models on PhET-assisted fluid material on students' conceptual comprehension. The design model used in this research is an experiment with a pretest-posttest type. The sample used in this study was Class XI IPA C as the experimental object consisting of 35 students in one class. The test given was in the form of a concept comprehension ability test consisting of 10 multiple choice questions with a maximum score of 100. The results showed that the average posttest score was higher than the average pretest score in the experimental class. In addition, an N-gain value of 0.62 was obtained, which means that the value of increasing student learning outcomes using the phet-assisted virtual blended learning model is in the medium category. This shows that the use of PhET-assisted blended learning virtual models has an effect on students' mastery of concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of  guided inquiry learning to understanding students' concept about image formation by flat mirror . This study uses a mixed method research of embedded experimental design. The research subject was 88 students of Private Junior High School in the city of Malang . Then, results showed that learning can improve students' understanding of the concept well ( d - effect size = 2.32 and N -gain = 0.47 ) .   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifas pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa tentang cermin datar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian mixed method jenis embedded experimental model. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 88 siswa di salah satu SMP swasta di kota Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pembelajaran dapat  meningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan baik (d-effect size = 2,32 dan N-gain 0,47).

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA menuntut siswa harus memahami konsep serta keterkaitannya untuk  menyelesaikan masalah. Siswa sering mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep, untuk itu dibutuhkan desain pembelajaran yang tepat untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan dan efektifitas pembelajaran dengan pemodelan terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada topik getaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan  mixed method  jenis embedded  experiment. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-C MTs YTP Kertosono tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Untuk mengetahui kekuatan peningkatan skor pretest ke posttest diukur dengan d-effect size dan N-gain ternormalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pemodelan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada topik getaran dengan d-effect size 1,582 termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi efektifitasnya, dan N-gain 0,508 termasuk dalam kategori medium atas peningkatan pretest ke posttest. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pemodelan ini sangat efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada topik getaran.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah mengembangkan multimedia powerpoint berbasis problem solving pada materi suhu dan kalor untuk siswa kelas X MIA SMA dan mengetahui kelayakan produk yang dibuat. Langkah-langkah pada penelitian ini yaitu: (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, (5) revisi desain, (6) uji coba produk, dan (7) revisi produk. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata validasi produk oleh ahli adalah 3,33, nilai rata-rata validasi soal dan pembahasan dari ranah materi secara keseluruhan 3,77 dan dari ranah konstruksi secara keseluruhan sebesar 3,50. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji coba pemakaian ke siswa didapatkan hasil multimedia powerpoint berbasis problem solving dapat membuat siswa membuat lebih bersemangat dan lebih mudah memahami materi suhu dan kalor. Siswa tidak menemukan kendala yang berarti dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini layak. Produk selanjutnya siap untuk diujikan skala luas

Abstract

Penelitian pembelajaran ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada subbab pembiasan cahaya melalui model pembelajaran Inquiry Argumentatif. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian mixed method jenis embedded design, yaitu dengan menggunakan gabungan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inquiry argumentatif. Peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi pembiasan pada cahaya sebesar 29,2 persen.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and determine the feasibility of learning media consisting of a recitation program with feedback and reinforcement questions to improve students' mastery of concepts. The research design used ADDIE which consisted of 5 research stages, namely: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, and 4) Implementation. Based on data analysis, the media validity average value was 3.7. Thus, it can be concluded that the recitation program with feedback and reinforcement questions has a very valid (worthy) category. Based on the results of this research, the development of a recitation program with feedback and reinforcement questions can be used in learning to improving students' Physics concept.

Abstract

This study aims to harness the potential of parchment leather affal for raw materials of souvenir coloured with natural dyes. Materials used are parchment affal from sheep/goat, cow and buffalo skin for making puppet. This research used experiment method, consisting of three (3) stages: 1. Identification and inventory of parchment affal potential resulted from leather puppet - making; 2. Process of making souvenirs as accessories for women using natural coloring, with variations : Affal types of parchment ( sheep, cow , buffalo ); accessories design ( earrings; necklace ; brooch ); coloring substance; 3. the color absorption and the potential added value of the affal parchment leather souvenirs. Independent variables (X1 = Affal parchment; X2 = accessories design; X3= natural dyes substances). Dependent Variables (Y1 = color absorption; Y2 = value - added value). Collected data were analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis Of Variance). Presentation of the data presented is in tables, graphs and images. Results of research show that potential of parchment affal from skin of sheep / goat of every crafter = 288.0 kg, cows 324.0 kg and buffalo 306.0 kg / year and 500.0 grams. Optimum product per affal producing earrings = 166 pieces ( sheep / goats ) ; Brooch = 278 pieces (cow) ; Necklace = 48 pieces (buffalo). Natural color absorption is affected by parchment skin histology. It can be concluded that parchment affal has feasibility to be used as raw material for women's accessories.

Abstract

A systematic study on the development of the assessment instrument of the concept of kinematics which is one of the basic concepts of physics has not yet been conducted. This systematic study reported the characteristics, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the instrument assessment regarding the concept of kinematics. This systematic review method has used a systematic approach based on the practical guidelines of systematic reviews by Petticrew and Roberts and has used PRISMA diagrams for the process of searching and selecting articles, who reviewed 12 articles published between 1985 and 2021. The research findings show that the instrument of concept mastery of kinematics using multiple-choice formats, while others combine the true-false and multiple-choice formats. Almost all instruments of mastery of the concept of widely used kinematics have reported validity assessment (content validity, construct validity) and internal consistency reliability. However, predictive validity, discriminatory validity, and temporal stability reliability have not been reported. Other results indicate that the development of further assessments must pay attention to five important aspects: the validity and reliability of instruments, the scopes and specificity of the concept of kinematics, the conformity with the intellectual level of students, the effectiveness and efficiency of instrument assessment, and the fulfillment of research gaps. This study can help educators and researchers choose and develop an appropriate instrument assessment to reveal students’ understanding of the concept of kinematics.

Abstract

The focus of this research focuses on education and training programs regarding instructors, trainees, methods, materials and training objectives. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of education and training at the Amory Hotel Sumedang and to find out how the efforts to improve education and training at the Amory Hotel Sumedang were. The method used in this research is a descriptive survey with a qualitative approach. In this study, data collection techniques were used, namely interviews and field observations, while the tools for data collection in this study were interviews, observation guidelines, documentation and literature study. So education and training is very important for the ability of employees in a company. Based on the results of interviews and observations made by researchers, there were problems in the implementation of education and training at Amory Hotel Sumedang, indicating that the dimensions of the instructor reflected in the implementation of education and training were quite good but not optimal in motivating participants, the dimensions of the training participants were quite good but not optimal in the desire to pay attention. , the dimensions of the method are good enough, the dimensions of the material are good, and the dimensions of the training objectives are good enough but not optimal in the skills of the participants. Hotel Amory Sumedang to carry out education and training activities more often so that it can have an effect in increasing the abilities and skills of employees at Hotel Amory Sumedang

Abstract

This research aims to explore kinematic resources in linear kinematics by utilizing different forms of problem representation. The study was conducted by administering 15 reasoned multiple-choice questions to 146 high school students from three districts in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research instrument covers topics in linear kinematics, including distance, displacement, speed, and velocity, presented through diagrammatic representations, graphs, and mathematical equations. The students’ written answers were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative analysis was conducted to determine descriptive statistics from the data, while qualitative analysis identified the resources students activated when solving these questions. The findings reveal that the various resources students activate include Phenomenological Primitives (P-Prims), Conceptual Resources, and Procedural Resources. Procedural Resources are more frequently activated when students solve problems presented as mathematical equations. In contrast, in response to visual representations such as diagrams and graphs, students tend to activate “What You See Is What You Get” (WYSIWYG) as P-Prims.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v12i22024p076
