The character of caring for students environment is still low. The study aims to evaluate the growth of environmental care character of students, at SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru. The parameters of research were the perception of teachers, principals, students and the growth of environmentally conscious character aspects of the action of growing brothers caring for the environment and environmental cleanliness after the action. The results of the study shows the teacher perceptions with average of 4.44 (88%) in the good category. The school principals is 4.69 (94%) in the good category and student score is 4.24 (79%) in the good category. Students perception of habituation aspects before KBM averaged a score of 1.90 (63%) enough category. The act of growing character cares for the environment with an average of 69% (good), in the aspect of implementation of the class picket the average is 56% (enough). Environmental hygiene in the class average of 77% (good), in terms of cleaning activities before KBM averaged 60% (enough). Environmental cleanliness with an average of 28.7% (less). The growth of students environmental care character from caring actions is showing in the good category and environmental cleanliness in the classroom category is sufficient and outside the classroom category is lacking.

This study aims to analyze the level of motivation to learn science in terms of the use of platforms in online learning. The research was carried out at Junior Hight School (SMP) Negeri Singingi, Kuansing Regency, Indonesia for the 2021-2022 Academic Year. This research is quantitative descriptive. The type of data obtained consists of primary data and secondary data. The instrument used to measure the level of student learning motivation is using a questionnaire. This learning motivation questionnaire was prepared with reference to the aspect of learning motivation which consists of 8 aspects. The results of learning motivation on the concentration indicator get an average of 64.56% in the medium category, the curiosity indicator on average 64.83% in the medium category, the average spirit indicator 62.14% in the medium category, the average independence indicator at 70.25% in the high category, the average readiness indicator is 77.50% in the high category, the average enthusiasm and encouragement indicator is 64.68% in the medium category, the indicator of never giving up is on average 66.67% in the medium category, and the average confidence indicator is 79.18% in the high category. The results of the study concluded that the overall student learning motivation was categorized as good.

Current environmental problems have become a serious threat to human life. One way to reduce this threat is to change the paradigm of the younger generation through education. Environmental Education (PLH) is the right step to implement, especially in Adiwiyata schools. This study aims to analyze students environmental care attitudes by learning monolithic and integrated environmental education. This research was conducted in 4 adiwiyata high schools. The method used is a survey. The total sample was 307 students. The technique used through the questionnaire environmental attitudes of students. Data analysis was performed by t-test. The t-test results showed that there were differences in students' environmental care attitudes between monolithic learning and integration. Differences in attitudes to care for the environment are found in 3 indicators namely, attitudes towards energy, attitudes towards flora and fauna and attitudes towards the social and human environment. Analysis of environmental care attitudes category found that monolithic PLH learning was 1.24% in the excellent category, 98.76 in the good category. While PLH integration is 1.39% very good, 93.10% is good and 5.51% is low. It was concluded that students with monolithic PLH learning had environmental care attitudes that were better than students' attitudes with PLH integration learning.

The 21st century is also known as the era of science and communication. To face the challenges of the 21st century, quality human resources are needed through the education sector. This research aims to: 1) determine the validity of STEM-based e-LKM in the Aquatic Ecology course, 2) determine the practicality of STEM-based e-LKM, and 3) determine the increase in students' creative thinking after using STEM-based e-LKM. e-LKM development is carried out using the ADDIE model at the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. The research subjects are material experts, education experts, media experts and students. Expert validity data was collected using an expert validation questionnaire which was analyzed using the Pearson correlation test, data on creative thinking skills was measured by asking students questions. The research results show that the validity of e-LKM is in the very valid category of 3.76 from an average of 3 experts who are validators. And the student's post test score is in the very good category, namely 87.15. It can be concluded that this research produces e-LKM for aquatic ecology courses that are valid and practical.

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' science process skills through the application of Project Based Learning based LKPD on environmental pollution material for Class X Senior High School. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Kuantan Singingi. The method used in research is development research (Research and Development). Sources of research data came from 25 students of class X IPA 3. Research design using one group pretest posttest only. Data collection obtained from the preetest and posttest results of the student's Science Process Skills instrument. The results showed that the students' science process skills experienced an increase in the posttest results, from 63.5 to 83.5 with a medium increase (N-Gain 0.54). From the research results, it can be concluded that LKPD based on project based learning can be used as a medium for learning biology in high school.

This study aims to determine the increase in students' knowledge through the application of reference books based on socio-scientific issues with the theme of LGBT (Lesbi, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) which have been developed previously and integrated into the reproductive system material in class XI humans. The research was conducted at SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. The method used in this research was a Research and Development. Sources of research data came from 50 Class XI MIPA students. Research design was One group pretest posttest only. Data collection obtained from the pretest and posttest results of students' knowledge. The results showed that the students' knowledge had increased in the posttest results from 52.8 to 86.7 with a relatively high increase (N-Gain 0.71). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that reference books based on socio-scientific issues with the LGBT theme can be used as additional biology learning media in high school on reproductive system material.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the biological science literacy ability of students’ grade IX at Ujung Batu Junior High Schools. Students’ biological science literacy abilities are affected by many things, such as untrained students’ to solve characteristic questions such as the questions on PISA. This research used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The instrument used to capture students’ biological science literacy ability is a test. The research conducted at Ujung Batu Junior High Schools Accredited “A” population distributed in three schools with the population in this study was all the students in grade IX at Ujung Batu Junior High Schools in the 2019/2020 academic year. The Sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling. The comprehensive scientific literacy score is 69.15, which is in the middle level. Based on aspects of scientific literacy (1) science content, amounted to 71.18 medium categories; (2) science process, 59.73 medium categories and (3) science context, 76.53 medium categories. The research conclusion is that there is a different capacity of students’ biological science literacy after using test questions on students’ scientific literacy ability.
