Abstract

The waste problem in Indonesia is a complex and evolving environmental issue, particularly in areas with high population density and economic activity. This study aims to cluster regions affected by waste issues using the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) algorithm. DBSCAN was chosen for its ability to identify spatial patterns and detect outliers without requiring a predefined number of clusters. The data used includes spatial and non-spatial information related to waste volume and regional characteristics across various provinces in Indonesia. The results show that DBSCAN effectively groups waste-affected areas into several clusters based on data density and spatial proximity. These clusters can serve as a foundation for determining policy priorities for regional and national waste management. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more targeted and data-driven waste management strategies.

Abstract

The internet as a form of technological advancement continues to develop every year and has a great influence on human activities, including in terms of sales. The Jepun Bali Store, which sells products typical of Hinduism and Balinese customs, markets its products online with Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Instagram and Facebook are used to display the catalog, while WhatsApp is used for order communication. However, this system is considered less efficient because customers have to switch applications to view products, ask questions, and order. Stock and price information is not available in real-time, and the ordering process is still done manually, making it difficult for customers. From the manager's side, manual order recording risks creating errors, while admins are often overwhelmed with handling queries across multiple platforms, which impacts customer satisfaction. This research aims to simplify the transaction process, speed up services, and increase efficiency by applying the Design Thinking method. This method helps in understanding the needs of the user, structuring problems, and producing solutions through systematic stages. The results of the design test using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method with 30 respondents obtained a score of 88.5833 out of 100, included in category A (Excellent) and considered acceptable.

Abstract

Most of the students of class X MA Yapis North Jakarta, around 60%, the learning achievement is in the range of 40% of the total number of students as many as 64 in 2 classes have difficulty in understanding the material of fiqh, especially in linking the concept of Islamic law with contemporary life issues. Learning that tends to be rote and less applicable is one of the main factors that hinders students' understanding. To overcome this problem, this study aims to integrate the ijtihad method used by the Fatwa Commission of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) into Islamic Religious Education learning based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). The contextual and systematic ijtihad method of the MUI Fatwa Commission is considered relevant to provide an understanding of Islamic law that is actual and responsive to social dynamics. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and learning documentation. Initial results show that the integration of the ijtihad method in the PBL model is able to increase student participation, build critical thinking skills, and make fiqh material closer to the reality they face. Thus, this approach provides an effective alternative in improving the quality of fiqh learning in madrasas. The results of the research findings showed a significant increase in the percentage of students achieving scores above the KKM to 86%. This increase not only reflects the success of students in understanding the material cognitively, but also shows an increase in critical thinking, communication, and cooperation skills in the context of fiqh learning.

Abstract

Poverty is a complex structural problem and remains a major challenge in Indonesia, a country with a Muslim majority. From an Islamic perspective, poverty is not only an economic issue, but also includes social and moral dimensions. Islam offers an integral solution through the concept of zakat, infaq, sedekah, and waqf which function as instruments of wealth distribution and social solidarity. This article aims to examine the problem of poverty in Indonesia from an Islamic perspective and examine the role of Islamic values and institutions in overcoming it. Using a literature study method and a qualitative approach, this study found that although Islamic teachings have great potential in poverty alleviation, implementation in the field still faces obstacles, such as low zakat literacy, less than optimal institutions, and regulatory challenges. Therefore, integration between Islamic values and sustainable public policies is needed to effectively overcome poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

In this competitive digital era, customer behavior is key to maintaining loyalty and increasing profitability. This study aims to implement customer segmentation using the Length, Recency, Frequency, Monetary, Volume (LRFMV) approach and the K-Means algorithm to identify customer behavior characteristics and determine high-value segments. The combination of these five dimensions has rarely been used in previous studies, thus providing a new contribution to data-based customer behavior analysis. This study adopts an exploratory descriptive quantitative approach. The data used consists of 2,098 transactions from 452 customers, sourced from a public GitHub dataset. The data analysis process includes preprocessing, determining LRFMV values, and segmentation using K-Means Clustering. The Silhouette Coefficient is used to evaluate cluster quality and determine the optimal number of clusters. The results show that the best configuration is obtained at k=5 with a Silhouette value of 0.842. The findings show five customer segments with different characteristics and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) values. Clusters 0 and 2 are categorized as Loyal Customers (L↑R↓F↑M↑V↑) with the highest CLV. Clusters 3 and 1 are Inactive New Customers (L↓R↑F↓M↓V↓) with low contribution. Cluster 4 consists of Inactive Customers (L↓R↓F↓M↓V↓), indicating overall inactivity. These segmentation results are used to develop more targeted strategies, such as loyalty programs or reactivation campaigns, to optimize marketing strategies based on customer value.
