Abstract

Prospering the mosque by reviving congregational prayers is part of the symbols of Islam. However, increasing the intensity of congregational prayers has its own obstacles for mosque administrators. This study aims to analyze whether the cause of the community is not performing the Subuh prayer in congregation at the mosque. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Sources of data were taken from five informants through in-depth interviews consisting of two mosque administrators and three mosque congregations who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. All interview results were analyzed using techniques Analysis Interactive Model Milles & Huberman. The results of the analysis show that there are four inhibiting factors for the community not to perform the Subuh prayer in congregation at the mosque. The four inhibiting factors are i) Difficulty getting up early, ii) The distance to the mosque is too far, iii) There is no habit of praying at dawn in congregation at the mosque, iv) Being busy at work. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers to examine this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Quran teachers play a crucial role in preserving and disseminating Islamic religious knowledge. This profession faces a dilemma between devotion to the ummah and the demands of modern professionalism. This study aims to analyze the role, challenges, and prospects of Quran teachers in contemporary social and economic contexts. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was chosen for this research. Data were collected from one hundred and five Quran teachers selected through purposive sampling and analyzed thematically using NVivo 12 software. The results indicate that, while the role of a Quran teacher is still regarded as noble and meaningful, practitioners encounter economic difficulties and lack social recognition. Therefore, strategies are needed to enhance the quality and professionalism of Quran teachers and to strengthen their role in society. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of Quran teachers and its implications for the development of Islamic society.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to find the optimal media for growing B. cereus bacteria with various carbon sources. This study used an experimental method with two Bacillus cereus bacterium isolates, namely B. cereus strain SN7 (isolate N) and a consortium of bacteria isolates (a combination of several B. cereus isolates with different strains). The two isolates were grown in sago liquid waste media, tofu liquid waste media, and molasses liquid waste media supplemented with a protein source, skim milk, with three replications in each treatment. Bacterial culture growth was measured every 6 hours for 24 hours using two methods: the TPC method and bacterial cell biomass measurement. According to the results of this study's measurements, molasses waste media was the best modified medium for B.cereus growth. The difference in growth between the B. cereus strain SN7 bacterial isolates and the consortium cultured on molasses media was not significant. The isolates with the largest number of cell growth were B. cereus consortium isolates, with 2,023 x108 CFU/mL in the TPC method and 1,011 g/mL in the biomass measurement method at 24 hours.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in higher education has an important role in shaping students' linguistic competence, especially in Islamic-based institutions. However, its implementation in practice often faces challenges that affect the teaching-learning process. This article aims to analyze the problems of Arabic language learning in higher education, identify the source of the problems, and offer solutions to the learning that is carried out. This analysis uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. This article screened 20 articles from Scopus and Google Scholar indexed journals published between 2018-2024. The results of the analysis show that there are four main problems, first the low competence of lecturers in applying learning methods, second the lack of utilization of educational technology in the learning process, third the limitations of teaching materials, fourth the low motivation of students in learning Arabic. These findings indicate that learning Arabic requires new approaches, such as the integration of digital-based technology, continuous training for lecturers, and the provision of teaching materials tailored to the needs and interests of students. The four results of this analysis are expected to provide insights for curriculum development and more effective Arabic learning methods. For future researchers, it is hoped that the results of this analysis can be the main reference and for lecturers, curriculum developers and policy designers in overcoming the challenges of learning Arabic in higher education and improving the quality of graduates who have superior linguistic competence.

This research gets results that concepts and relationships nafs (qalb) with ruh, qalb, and aql in the structure of human personality which becomes the ruhual substance in human formation. Nafs is an element formed from the entry of the qalb into the human body. Because it has elements of the hereafter and the worldly, then the qalb tends to do good and bad by using the aql. Therefore, man must guide his qalb with a clear qalb. The implications of this research are to provide reading material that helps readers understand it.

Abstract

In the development of the Islamic world, qiraat is also spreading to all corners of the world and is being studied more and more by Muslims. Thus giving rise to many versions of the reading and its implications for the law. In al-Zuhaili's interpretation of surah al-Baqarah verse 158, al-Zuhaili explains the difference in qiraat, several opinions of scholars, especially mahzab imams, and their implications for the law. This research aims to discover the impact of the differences in qiraat regarding the interpretation of legal verses. The method used is qualitative with an approach to content analysis and hermeneutics. The data source was obtained through the book Tafseer al-Munir volume one printed by Dar al-Fikr in the year 1430 H by al-Zuhaili, then surah al-Baqarah verse 158, Tafseer al-Qurthubi and Tafseer Rawai' al-Bayan as comparison or reinforcement with Tafseer al-Munir and some Kitab Ulum al-Quran or books that discuss qiraat. Then analyze surah al-Baqarah verse 158 in detail and depth. This research found that there are two opinions of ulama regarding harmony sa'i in carrying out the Hajj pilgrimage, namely i) according to jumhur implementing law sa'i when hajj or umrah is rukun, when sa'i left then the Hajj and Umrah are invalid, ii) Imam Abu Hanifah thinks that sa'i not a rule, but a practice sunnah from Hajj and Umrah. This research can be used as a firqiraatst step for future researchers to examine in more detail the implications of the differences in qiraat against the law.

Abstract

Our country is a country governed by law. From a legal perspective, in order to maintain order in Islamic society, marriages must be registered at the Office of Religious Affairs as stipulated in Article 2 paragraph (1) of Law No. 1 of 1974 and Article 4 of the Compilation of Islamic Law. The government provides a solution for unregistered marriages through the process of itsbath marriage. The provisions of the law that serve as the legal basis for the Religious Court to perform itsbath marriage are the explanation of Article 49 paragraph (2) point 22 of Law No. 7 of 1989 concerning Religious Courts and Article 7 paragraphs (2) and (3) letter d of the Compilation of Islamic Law. The results of the study show that isbat marriage is a request for marriage validation submitted to the Religious Court to declare the marriage valid so that it has legal force. The reasons for submitting itsbath marriage are contained in the Compilation of Islamic Law Article 7 paragraph (3), namely; the existence of a marriage in the context of settlement, the loss of a marriage certificate, a marriage that took place before the enactment of the Marriage Law No. 1 of 1974, or a marriage conducted by individuals who do not have any legal impediments to marriage under Law No. 1 of 1974. The persons entitled to apply for itsbat marriage are specified in Article 7(4) of the Compilation of Islamic Law, namely: the husband, wife, their children, and parties with an interest in the marriage. The urgency or purpose of itsbat marriage is to provide legal certainty for every marriage and to provide legal protection for the offspring of each couple. An application for itsbat marriage may be filed at the Religious Court in the place of residence of the couple seeking itsbat marriage.
