Abstract

Teaching and Learning Strategies course is a compulsory subject in the course Chemical Education Department of Mathematics and Science Education Guidance and Counseling UNS with weights 2 credits. As a high school chemistry teacher candidates take courses relefan stock and standard and suit the needs of stakeholders, should have a pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence (Act No. 14 th 2005 chapter IV of chapter 8-10) . This research aims to improve the quality of the learning process in the course of Teaching and Learning Strategies using the constructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) in the activities of Lesson Study. The study included a descriptive study. Data collection was carried out with observations on the activities of lesson study and observation results are set forth in the form of descriptive. The experiment was conducted on students participating in the course of Teaching and Learning Strategies odd semester 2010/2011 academic year in the course Chemical Education Guidance and Counseling University PMIPA Eleven Maret Surakarta (UNS). Activities conducted open lessons three times, with three times three times the Plan and Do (Open Lesson). Each lesson conducted open-end reflection. The result of the implementation of lesson study on the subject of Teaching and Learning Strategies by applying the constructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) concluded that the application of constructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) in Lesson Study activities to improve the quality of the learning process on Teaching and Learning Strategies course, this can be seen that the achievement of the final cycle is obtained: indicators of student achievement in working on student worksheet is 100%, the results of assessment of students' task of preparing the paper with a value greater / equal to B is 100%, liveliness student increase is 17.6% completed the first indicator, second indicator 32.4% complete and 100% complete the seven indicators, student affective value increase that value is greater/equal to B is 100% (no value C). Application of cons-tructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) in Lesson Study activities to improve learning outcomes of Teaching and Learning Strategies that students who obtain a value greater/equal to 70 (B) otherwise complete as much as 76.4%. Based on responses to questionnaires filled out by students learning at the end of learning, shows that the learning model used by researchers, received a positive response, so that students want lecturers to implement active learning in the classroom.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to study  possibility of applying  of Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach based on laboratory experiment in Second Basic Chemistry Experimental on subject matter of the redox reactions and electrochemical. The Laboratory experiment that was studied in this research is decreasing of cationic dye Basic Fuchsin concentration with electrodecoloritation method.This research uses literature review supported by laboratory experimental data. The parameter of this research are the experimental procedures, the availability of experimental materials, the time of experiment, the data analysis and the availability of analytical instruments. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Pencapaian pelaksanaan program imersi di SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (2) Faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat pelaksanaan program imersi di SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (3) Upaya-upaya yang telah dilakukan untuk meminimalisir hambatan dalam pelaksanaan program imersi di SMAN 2 Karanganyar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan kuisioner. Pemeriksaan data dilakukan dengan cara trianggulasi data dan trianggulasi metode, dengan model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah evaluasi model Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP). Dari penelitian diperoleh: 1) Pencapaian pelaksanaan program imersi dari tahun 2006/2007 sampai saat ini kurang sesuai dengan tujuan penyelenggaraan imersi karena ada ketentuan dalam Pedoman Penyelenggaraan Kelas Imersi yang tidak terpenuhi, antara lain sistem administrasi, struktur organisasi, perekrutan guru, metode pembelajaran, mata pelajaran yang menggunakan bahasa Inggris, serta proses belajar mengajar, 2) Faktor yang mendukung pelaksanaan imersi di SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar antara lain adanya sarana dan prasarana yang memadai dengan jumlah rombongan belajar yang tidak terlalu besar per kelasnya. Sedangkan faktor yang paling menghambat dari guru dan siswa yakni faktor bahasa, 3) Upaya yang dilakukan SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan bahasa Inggris bagi guru-guru yang akan mengajar di kelas imersi.   Kata kunci: program imersi, mata pelajaran kimia, kelas XI IPA, CIPP.

Abstract

Background: : a preliminary study based on inpatient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia Yogyakarta result that 50% of nurses are less open to patients so that less established mutual trust so that the patient seemed closed and silent when asked to communicate and difficult to work with. Good therapeutic communication skills would be possessed by the mental health nurse and the main factors that influence the therapeutic nurse communication skills are personal qualities. Personal qualities are characteristics that must be possessed by a nurse to be able to be therapeutic. Personal qualities include six components: self awareness, values clarification, exploration of feelings, role model, altruism, and ethics and responsibility Research Objectives: This research was conducted in order to determine the quality of personal relationships with communication skills in a therapeutic nurse-patient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia. Methods: a descriptive research with cross sectional correlation. The total sample in this study using a total of 37 people with cluster sampling technique to nurses who work in the maintenance room space Sahadev, Arimbi, Nakula, Shinta and Heroine. Research instruments were questionnaires and observation sheets results were analyzed with Kendall Tau. Results: personal quality nurses in inpatient psychiatric hospitals Ghrasia Yogyakarta is higher by 18 people (48.6%). Communication skills in a therapeutic nurse-patient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia Yoyakarta is good up to 20 people (54.1%). Kendall Tau correlation test results obtained values p (0,038) <0.05. Conslusion: there is a personal relationship with the quality of communication skills in a therapeutic nurse patient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia Yogyakarta. Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology is not accompanied by an in-depth understanding of the ethics of communicating in the internet, such as the spread of hoaxes, sexual crime that often afflict adolescents, as well as frauds in online businesses. These phenomena are the result of ignorance of the ethics of communicating on the internet through social media. It is true that social media is considered the most effective communication method. However, the rate of cybercrime increases along with social media use compared to previous years. Mass communication is inseparable from the type of interpersonal communication that requires face-to-face and ethical foundation which includes being responsible, respecting the rights and freedom of others, behaving politely and being considerate. The presence of social media does not eliminate interpersonal communication. The case being presented here is that ethical foundation is not always present in social media. Messages sent and received through social media might not always be well received by the recipient. It is not uncommon that senders pay little attention to the minor things that actually lead to dire consequences. Therefore, a team from the Faculty of Communication of Tarumanagara University held a seminar on how to communicate ethically across cultures on the internet. The team held a Community Service (PKM) activity for Warga Surakarta Senior High School students, with the aim of providing knowledge and understanding of culture and how to communicate on the internet. The results of the PKM activities are as follows. First, students can share information that can be accounted for. Second, students can behave well and ethically, when dealing with strangers through social media. Third, students can conduct online business transaction activities that can be accounted for. KeywordsABSTRAK: Perkembangan dunia digital yang sangat pesat, tidak diiringi oleh pemahaman mendalam tentang etika berkomunikasi di dunia internet, seperti tersebarnya media hoax atau berita tidak benar, aksi kejahatan seksual yang banyak menimpa anak-anak remaja, juga ramainya aksi penipuan di bisnis online. Ketiga fenomena ini terjadi akibat ketidaktahuan masyarakat akan etika berkomunikasi di internet melalui media sosial. Memang, kini penggunaan media sosial dianggap paling efektif untuk berkomunikasi. Namun di balik itu, angka cybercrime semakin bertambah dibandingkan dengan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Komunikasi massa sendiri tidak dapat terlepas dari jenis komunikasi antarpribadi yang memerlukan tatap muka dan penuh landasan etis yang di antaranya adalah, memiliki rasa tanggung jawab, menghormati hak-hak asasi dan kebebasan orang lain, berlaku sopan dan tenggang rasa. Namun kehadiran media sosial tidak berarti meniadakan jenis komunikasi antarpribadi. Hanya saja, lewat komunikasi melalui media sosial ini, landasan etis tidak menjadi hal yang baku. Pesan-pesan yang mengalir di media sosial, tidak selamanya bisa diterima oleh penerima pesan dengan baik. Tidak jarang, komunikator atau pengirim pesan, kurang memperhatikan hal-hal kecil yang justru berakibat fatal. Karena itu, tim pengabdian Fikom Untar menyelenggarakan kegiatan seminar bagaimana etika berkomunikasi lintas budaya dalam berkegiatan di internet. Tim membuat sebuah kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) kepada siswa/siswi SMA Warga Surakarta, dengan tujuan memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terhadap bagaimana budaya dan cara berkomunikasi di dunia maya. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini ada tiga. Pertama, siswa dan siswi memiliki kemampuan dalam menyebarluaskan informasi yang bisa dipertanggungjawabkan. Kedua, siswa dan siswi mampu bersikap yang baik dan penuh etika, ketika berhubungan dengan orang asing melalui media sosial. Ketiga, siswa dan siswi bisa melakukan kegiatan transaksi bisnis online yang mampu dipertangguung jawabkan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the adsorption capability of combination of rice husk andbagasse fly ashas Cu metal adsorbent in batch system. The methode of research included preparation of materials, activation of materials using HCl and NaOH solutions, characterization test using SEM, FTIR, and AAS. Determination of surface structure of rice husk and bagasse fly ash adsorbent using SEM instrument.Determination of functional group of rice husk and bagasse fly ash adsorbent using FTIR instrument.Determination of adsorption capacity test of rice husk and bagasse fly ash as adsorbent on variation of adsorbent composition, adsorbent mass, adsorbate concentration using AAS instrument. The results showed that rice husk and bagasse fly ash can be used as adsorbent because there were pores on surface structur of rice husk and bagasse fly ash.  There is OH function group at wave number 3424,75968 cm-1 and Si-O function group from Si-O-Si at the wave number 1048,3565 cm-1 in combination of rice husk and bagasse fly ash adsorbent, the optimum composition ratio of rice husk and bagasse fly ash adsorbent was 1:2 with the precentage of 97%  adsorbed Cu and adsorption capacity is 0,9164 mg/g, the optimum adsorbent mass in Cu adsorption was 0,2 g with the precentage of 99,77% adsorbed Cu, and  the optimum concentration of adsorbate was 10,1984 mg/L with the precentage of 97,22% adsorbed Cu and adsorption capacity 0,4958 mg/g. The isotherm of adsorption pattern follows the Langmuir isotherm wich means the adsorption process tends chemically.

Abstract

Kepuasan konsumen dapat menjaga hubungan antara perusahaan dengan konsumen yaitu konsumen akan melakukan pembelian kembali dan memberikan rekomendasi yang baik sehingga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan penjualan perusahaan, namun semakin banyaknya pesaing sejenis membuat perusahaan harus lebih mampu mengembangkan strategi untuk dapat mempertahankan kepuasan konsumen sehingga tidak ditinggal oleh konsumen, dengan memberikan harga yang kompetitif, kualitas produk dengan mutu terjaga dan kualitas pelayanan yang memuaskan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi harga, kualitas produk dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan konsumen Pizza Hut secara parsial. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara daring terhadap 100 responden yang pernah mengkonsumsi Pizza Hut secara langsung. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji asumsi klasik, analisis uji partial dan koefisien determinasi dengan menggunakan alat bantu software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel persepsi harga, kualitas produk, kualitas pelayanan secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan konsumen. Hasil temuan menegaskan bahwa perusahaan dapat memahami perilaku dan memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen dengan melakukan strategi pemasaran yang berorientasi kepada konsumen yaitu harga, kualitas produk dan pelayanan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen.

Abstract

The Solar Power Plant converts light into electricity using photovoltaic. It uses an inverter to convert DC to AC electricity to be connected to an AC load. Along with the increasing use of solar panel, inverter use has also increased. In fact, the inverter can produce disturbances at frequency between 9-150kHz. Based on this matter, this study is focused on observing the disturbance characteristics of photovoltaic system due to variations in irradiation and inductive load in the frequency range from 9 - 150 kHz. It is expected that the output of this observations can be a reference for research in analyzing, predicting and knowing the effects on the electric power system. First, this observation provide inductive type of load then observe it in at least two different solar irradiation conditions. Based on observations obtained, in general there are three frequencies of dominant disturbances, namely the range 19-29kHz, 69-79Khz, and 140-149kHz.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of project activities to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile at State Junior High School 1 (SMP Negeri 1) Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, and the impact of its implementation on students. The profile of Pancasila students is: 1) Believer, devoted to God Almighty and has noble character, 2) Independent, 3) cooperation, 4) Global diversity, 5) Critical reasoning, 6) Creative based on local wisdom by making Batik, namely Batik Jumputan and Written Batik, in Solo (Surakarta), Central Java, Indonesia. The research population was in one of the junior high schools in Surakarta (SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta). The Pancasila Student Profile can be identified as starting to develop, currently developing according to expectations, and very developing. From the observations, it is known that the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) at SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta has developed according to expectations by 60% and has developed very well at 40%. However, there is still a weakness, namely that the assessment of the aspects of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) as a group is not yet known individually so the aspects that stand out individually are not yet known.

Abstract

Teachers play a crucial role in preparing quality human resources. One Junior High School in Sragen has implemented the Kurikulum Merdeka (Merdeka Curriculum). Based on interviews, teachers are still experiencing challenges in developing learning instruments and implementing the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) model and the Project to Strengthen Students' Pancasila Profile. This community service team, Research Group Innovation in Science Classroom (ISC) provided training for teachers on the implementation of STEAM in the Merdeka Curriculum. The training included planning, implementation, mentoring, evaluation, and reporting. This Community Service Program has improved teachers' skills in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
