Abstract

Abstract

Teachers and school principals who are members of the teacher working group (KKG) cluster 10, Cisauk District, Tangerang Regency, feel unprepared to implement the merdeka curriculum in the 2023/2024 academic year. This is due to their lack of participation in training and guidance on the practice of implementing the merdeka curriculum. The aim of this community service is to enhance the knowledge and understanding of teachers in KKG cluster 10, Cisauk District, in implementing the merdeka curriculum. The program stages include preparation, training, monitoring, and evaluation. Based on the completeness of each question, teachers still need assistance in creating teaching modules, and individual teachers reported an increase in knowledge. Abstract

Utilizing videos as a learning tool is known to enhance motivation. To create more professional learning videos, understanding videography techniques is crucial. The Canva application, widely popular today, aids education by facilitating the design of engaging learning videos. Unfortunately, teachers in the Teacher Working Group (KKG) Cluster 10, Cisauk District, lack proficiency in using Canva, particularly in crafting learning videos. The community service aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of 28 participants from 9 public elementary schools and 1 private elementary school in Cisauk District, focusing on videography techniques and Canva application operation. Scheduled from September to October 2023 at SDN Suradita, the activity involves preparation, training, assignments, and concludes with monitoring and evaluation. Evaluation results indicate a 30% increase in teachers' knowledge and a 4.6% boost in insight into videography and Canva. Similarly, teachers' proficiency in crafting learning videos with Canva improves. However, limited activity time prevents teachers from applying videography techniques with complete camera devices. The next step involves testing Canva-produced learning videos to gauge their impact on student learning outcomes and motivation.

Abstract

Written communication in an educational setting aims to convey messages related to academics or finances. The messages delivered contain either positive or negative information. This study aims to reveal the organization of negative business messages preferred by higher education students while receiving messages from university parties. The participants are the vice-chancellors for finance and academic affairs or the representatives (heads of divisions) at three private universities within the Association of Catholic Higher Learning Institutions as the senders and 170 active students in several universities as the receivers. This study uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches. I collected data through online questionnaires, semistructured interviews, and observation of written documents in email and WhatsApp. I proposed four essential dimensions of negative message, namely, organization/approach, language, medium, and response, with the Likert scale questionnaire. I also inserted two cases of negative messages at the end of the questionnaire to find students’ tendency to select one they liked. The questionnaire results are used to discover the participants’ preference for the approach of relaying negative messages, corroborated by the interviews. The study found that students preferred direct approach to negative business messages. Buffers, prevalent in negative business with indirect order, are found in the email. A positive tone was not found at the end of the message. The study concluded that negative messages should be conveyed in writing with direct organizations and positive language and addressed to students before being forwarded to their parents

Abstract

Nowadays, social media is widely used by marketers, including influencers, to promote products or services. One promotional technique used as a reference for preparing content on social media is the AIDA approach. AIDA is an effective marketing stage, starting from captivating the audience (attention), growing interest (interest), arousing desire (desire), and motivating audience action (action). The purpose of this study is to describe the AIDA approach used by NS as influencer on TikTok when marketing household appliances. This research is qualitatively descriptive, using observation techniques of video shows and content analysis of the three videos belonging to NS. The three videos were aired in 2023 and randomly selected as the object of research. Content analysis is guided by the stages contained in AIDA, namely attention, interest, desire, and action. This study found that the AIDA approach in marketing on TikTok can help influencers lead their audience from curiosity, interest, to thinking to action. Marketing carried out using TikTok is classified as softsale because it is simpler and more effective to implement.

Abstract

One of the important visual branding elements in marketing strategy is color quality. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of color in the packaging design of tea bags, especially Sosro, SariWangi, and Poci, with consumer attractiveness so as to influence purchase intention. This research uses a quantitative method by distributing a google form with a four-option Likert scale to thirty active students of the Faculty of Economics and Business in one of university in Jakarta. The questionnaire contains eleven closed questions and one open question which are then analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between the use of packaging colors for tea bags and consumer appeal, especially generation Z. The color combination on SariWangi provides greater appeal than Sosro, but does not differ much from the appeal of Teh Poci. The color combination on SariWangi shows an atmosphere of calmness, while The Poci gives an atmosphere of cheerfulness and freshness. These colors predominantly reflect generation Z who are active, cheerful, and dynamic, but love serenity.
