Abstract

Information technology has played an important role in the business and industrial environment. The suitability of the competence of graduates of information technology graduates and competency standards in the industry is a problem that is quite complicated to explore. The purpose of this study was to analyze the suitability of the undergraduate-level information technology curriculum with the competency map required by the industry which is always developing rapidly in the industrial era 4.0. This study also tries to recommend an information technology curriculum restructuring model with an independent campus learning approach. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a traditional literature review approach that specifically analyzes documents in depth to gain new knowledge. The results of this study indicate that there is a large gap between the education process at the undergraduate level in the competencies students acquire and the occupations provided by industry which results in many undergraduate graduates not being absorbed by industry. The results of this study also show that the independent approach to independent campus learning is also not enough to bridge this gap because several stages do not go well. This study concludes that a comprehensive restructuring of the undergraduate curriculum is needed to obtain a curriculum that is good and adaptive to change.

Abstract

Many students face challenges in the thesis preparation process, including time constraints, lack of integration with industry requirements, and lack of understanding of research methodology. This research aims to formulate another form of student thesis project with equal reasoning and difficulty level that can be measured and converted as a thesis. Apart from that, it also improves the quality and relevance of undergraduate thesis projects in Information Technology. The research method used is a descriptive approach, involving surveys and interviews. Research participants include Information Technology undergraduate students, supervisors, industry practitioners, and advisory boards. Data collection instruments include a structural questionnaire and interview guide designed to explore experiences, perceptions, and suggestions regarding changes in the preparation of the thesis project. The proposed solution involves implementing effective time management, closer integration with industry challenges through partnerships with companies, increased understanding of research methodologies, and adaptation of curricula to reflect dynamic changes in the Information Technology industry. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide concrete guidance for improving thesis projects and creating graduates who are better prepared and relevant to industry needs. Through this approach, it is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the academic process in producing higher quality and relevant thesis projects in the context of information technology.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an urgent need for higher education in this contemporary era. In facing emerging challenges and opportunities, human resource management (HR) plays a central role in ensuring the successful adaptation of educational institutions to technological change. This research aims to identify key strategies in HR management that can increase the resilience of higher education organizations during periods of crisis, especially in the context of digital transformation. The research method used is a combination of literature study and empirical research. Through an in-depth analysis of theories and practices related to HR management, as well as case studies of several universities that have successfully adapted to digital transformation, this research identifies various effective strategies. The research results show that effective HR management in the context of digital transformation requires a holistic and adaptive approach. A strategy that includes developing digital skills and competencies, organizational flexibility, increasing employee engagement, and building a culture of innovation is the key to success. In addition, cross-departmental collaboration, transparent communication, and visionary leadership have also proven important in facing digital transformation challenges. This research provides a theoretical and practical basis for universities to design effective HR management strategies to increase organizational resilience in the face of technological change. The practical implications of this research can guide higher education leaders and HR practitioners to face challenges and take advantage of opportunities in the rapidly changing era of digital transformation.
