Abstract

Abstrack: This study was motivated by increasing environmental damage. Critical thinking abilities are developed through education, which helps students get ready for future environmental issues. Geography learning at MAN 1 Malang is still dominated by a teacher-centred learning model, which is ineffective in developing students' critical thinking abilities. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Grade XI students' critical thinking abilities are affected when the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with Instagram Greenpeaceid. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a post-test only control group, involving an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class uses PBL integrated Instagram, while the control class uses the Direct Instruction method. There was a substantial difference between the two classes, based on the independent sample t-test results, which revealed significance at 0.005 < 0.05. These results show that using Instagram Greenpeaceid integrated with the PBL paradigm successfully improves students' critical thinking abilities through logical, argumentative, and collaborative discussion and presentation activities. This integration also supports the achievement of 21st-century competencies in geography education. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kerusakan lingkungan yang semakin meningkat. Pendidikan berperan penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis guna mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan lingkungan di masa depan. Pembelajaran geografi di MAN 1 Malang masih didominasi model teacher centered, yang kurang efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) terintegrasi Instagram Greenpeaceid terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi-experiment dengan desain post-test only control group, melibatkan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan PBL terintegrasi Instagram, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan Direct Instruction. Hasil uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan signifikansi 0,005 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL terintegrasi Instagram Greenpeaceid efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui kegiatan diskusi dan presentasi yang logis, argumentatif, dan kolaboratif. Integrasi ini juga mendukung pencapaian kompetensi abad ke-21 dalam pembelajaran geografi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil belajar kognitif memiliki peran penting dalam pembelajaran. Pemilihan metode dan media yang tepat sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan hasil belajar kognitif. Rendahnnya nilai hasil belajar kognitif disebabkan karena pemilihan model dan media yang tidak tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik melalui penerapan model TGT terintegrasi dengan uno stacko dalam materi mitigasi bencana. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu PTK atau penelitian tindakan kelas yang menggunakan tipe partisipan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus utama dengan alur identifikasi masalah, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan dilanjutkan refleksi pada tiap siklus. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI IPS 2 di SMA Ma’arif Lawang dengan total 25 peserta didik. teknik penghimpunan data menggunakan  instrumen soal dengan rincian 10 soal pilihan ganda dan 5 esai. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan melakukan rata-rata, persentase kenaikan serta pembobotan skor dan disajikan dalam bentuk analisis deksriptif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran TGT dengan diintegrasikan uno stacko mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa secara signifikan pada siklus 1 dan kembali memperoleh kenaikan pada siklus 2. Hal ini diibuktikan dengan kenaikan nilai hasil belajar dari pra siklus dengan nilai 56,16 ke siklus 1 menjadi 69,28 atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar  23% dan siklus 1 dengan nilai 69,28 ke siklus 2 yang berhasil memperoleh nilai 76 atau meningkat sebesar 10%. Dengan demkian, model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan uno stacko mampu memberikan peningkatan pada hasil belajar kognitif bagi peserta didik.Abstract:  Abstract:  Cognitive learning outcomes have an important role in learning. The selection of appropriate methods and media greatly influences the development of cognitive learning outcomes. The low value of cognitive learning outcomes is caused by improper selection of models and media. This study aims to provide improved cognitive learning outcomes of learners through the application of the TGT model integrated with uno stacko in disaster mitigation materials. This type of research is PTK or classroom action research that uses participant types. This research consists of 2 main cycles with the flow of problem identification, planning, implementation, observation and continued reflection on each cycle. The research subjects in this study were class XI Social Studies 2 at SMA Ma'arif Lawang with a total of 25 students. The data collection technique uses a question instrument with details of 10 multiple-choice questions and 5 essays. Data analysis techniques are carried out by averaging, percentage increase and weighting scores and presented in the form of descriptive analysis. The results of the study found that the implementation of the TGT learning model with integrated uno stacko was able to significantly improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in cycle 1 and again gain an increase in cycle 2. This is evidenced by the increase in the value of learning outcomes from pre-cycle with a value of 56.16 to cycle 1 to 69.28 or an increase of 23% and cycle 1 with a value of 69.28 to cycle 2 which managed to obtain a value of 76 or an increase of 10%. Thus, the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by uno stacko is able to provide improvements in cognitive learning outcomes for students.

Abstract

Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK) Gurah terletak di Blitar Selatan, tepatnya di Desa Tugurejo, Kecamatan Wates. Kawasan ini memiliki hutan lindung dan hutan produktif tetap yang memiliki peran penting bagi masyarakat, terutama terkait kebutuhan sumber daya air. Aktivitas masyarakat di dalam dan sekitar KHDTK Gurah menuntut adanya ketersediaan air yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya identifikasi keberadaan mataair sebagai dasar pemanfaatan sumber daya air oleh masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pembuatan peta dasar berdasarkan data sekunder serta kegiatan identifikasi lapangan secara partisipatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat enam mataair di sekitar KHDTK Gurah, namun pada musim kemarau hanya dua mataair yang masih mengalir. Selain itu, kawasan ini juga memiliki sungai permukaan yang bersifat musiman. Mataair yang masih aktif kemudian dimanfaatkan melalui sistem pipanisasi gravitasi menuju tandon air di sekitar Pantai Gurah. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam perencanaan pengelolaan sumber daya air yang berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

The guided inquiry (GI) model is one of the scientific learning models that is student centered and designed to stimulate spatial thinking skills through discovery activities under the guidance and direction of the teacher. In addition to the learning model, geoliteracy is another factor that influences students spatial thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the GI model on spatial thinking skills and to examine the effect of the GI learning model on spatial thinking skills in terms of students geoliteracy. The research method is a quasi experimental design with a post test only design. The population of this study consists of eleventh grade students at SMAN 5 Malang and SMAN 6 Malang, with purposive sampling used to determine the control and experimental classes at each school. Data were collected using a test instrument to obtain spatial thinking ability scores and geoliteracy scores. Data analysis was carried out using independent sample t tests and two way anova. The results show that the GI model can affect the spatial thinking skills possessed by students, even though both experimental classes received the GI model treatment. Further results indicate that the GI model can affect spatial thinking skills in terms of students geoliteracy. However, there is a significant difference in spatial thinking skills based on geoliteracy between students at SMAN 6 Malang and students at SMAN 5 Malang, even though both experimental classes received the GI model treatment.

Abstract

Abstrak Desa Wonorejo merupakan desa yang berada di Kecamatan Singosari. Pada wilayah desa ini terdapat area hutan produksi. Hutan tersebut merupakan hutan milik pemerintah. Melalui program Perhutanan Sosial masyarakat Desa Wonorejo dapat mengelola hutan mengingat Perhutanan Sosial merupakan sistem pengelolaan hutan lestari yang dilaksanakan dalam Kawasan Hutan Negara. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu pendampingan dalam melakukan pengukuran dan pemetaan batas Hutan Desa, serta pendampingan pemetaan area pemanfaatan Hutan Desa. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu partisipatory community dengan melibatkan masyarakat secara partisipatif dan memanfaatkan teknologi spasial dalam identifikasi kawasan hutan sosial. Adapun langkah-langkah pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan cara survei pendahuluan, sosialisasi program pengabdian, pemanfaatan teknologi geospasial seperti penggunaan GPS dan Drone, pembuatan peta dasar dengan menggunakan softwere pemetaan, pendampingan pengukuran dan pemetaan batas hutan desa, pendampingan pemetaan area pemanfaatan hutan desa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan kawasan hutan produksi yang ada di dalam wilayah Desa Wonorejo seluas 81,7 ha dan berada dalam PIAPS. Pada area hutan yang ada di Desa Wonorejo terdapat sumber air yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Hasil pemotretan foto udara menunjukkan area hutan desa wonorejo masih alami dan memiliki lereng yang curam hingga landai Kata kunci: teknologi spasial; hutan sosial; perhutanan sosial Abstract Wonorejo Village is a village in Singosari District. In this village area there is a production forest area. This forest is a government-owned forest. Through the Social Forestry program, the Wonorejo Village community can manage forests considering that Social Forestry is a sustainable forest management system implemented in the State Forest Area. The purpose of this service is assistance in measuring and mapping Village Forest boundaries, as well as assistance in mapping Village Forest utilization areas. The method used in this service is participatory community by involving the community in a participatory manner and utilizing spatial technology in identifying social forest areas. The steps for this service are carried out by means of a preliminary survey, socialization of the service program, use of geospatial technology such as the use of GPS and Drones, making base maps using mapping software, assistance with measuring and mapping village forest boundaries, assistance with mapping village forest utilization areas. The results of the service show that the production forest area within the Wonorejo Village area is 81,7 ha and is within PIAPS. In the forest area in Wonorejo Village there is a water source which is used by the local community for their daily needs. Abstract

Background: Adanya pergeseran lanskap alam untuk pertanian, urbanisasi, dan pembangunan infrastruktur telah menyebabkan meluasnya erosi tanah, penurunan keanekaragaman hayati, hilangnya cadangan karbon, dan terganggunya fungsi daerah aliran sungai (DAS). Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendukung program reforestasi sebagai upaya penghijauan dan mitigasi perubahan iklim di Arboretum DAS Brantas Bumi Aji, Kota Batu. Pemilihan Casuarina sp. sebagai pohon yang ditanam memiliki potensi besar dalam mewujudkan tujuan kegiatan. Metode: Metode yang diterapkan dalam program ini mengikuti empat tahap utama: (1) Pengamatan Awal dan Identifikasi Masalah, (2) Sosialisasi dan Pelibatan Pemangku Kepentingan, (3) Pelaksanaan Penanaman Pohon pada 26 Juli 2025, dan (4) Evaluasi dan Perencanaan Keberlanjutan. Setiap tahap dilaksanakan bekerja sama dengan komunitas lokal, pemangku kepentingan pemerintah, dan lembaga akademik. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penanaman pohon berjalan sesuai target, yakni sebanyak 50 pohon Casuarina sp. berhasil ditanam dengan tingkat partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan dukungan institusional yang kuat. Manfaat ekologis yang dihasilkan meliputi peningkatan infiltrasi, pengendalian erosi, dan penyerapan karbon, serta manfaat sosial berupa peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya konservasi hulu DAS. Kesimpulan: Reboisasi berbasis komunitas terbukti efektif sebagai strategi pemulihan lanskap dan konservasi DAS Brantas. Keberhasilan kolaborasi lintas sektor menunjukkan potensi keberlanjutan program, yang perlu diperkuat dengan pemantauan kuantitatif dan diversifikasi spesies tanaman untuk memaksimalkan manfaat ekologis dan sosial.

Abstract

INCREASING THE CAPACITY OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS INVOLCANO ERUPTION DISASTER PREPAREDNESS THROUGH DISASTERMITIGATION SIMULATION IN THE MOUNT SEMERU REGION Indonesia ialah salah satu negara yang rawan terhadap bencana erupsi gunung api. Salah satubencana erupsi gunung api yang yang terjadi adalah Gunung Api Semeru Tahun 2021 dan 2022di Kabupaten Lumajang. Dampak letusan Gunung Api Semeru mengakibatkan banyaknya korbanjiwa. Hal itu membuktikan bahwa kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat dalam menghadapiancaman dan risiko bencana gunung api. Dengan demikan pentingnya tindakan untukmeminimalisir dampak akibat bencana yang akan datang kedepannya. Dengan adanya kegiatanpengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian dari Universitas Negeri Malang dalam program penelitian dan pengabdian Desentralisasi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial sebagaisalah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengurangi risiko bencanagunung api. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan pembelajaran kebencanaan dan simulasimitigasi bencana gunung api yang dilaksanakan di Desa Sumbermujur Kabupaten Lumajangpada sekolah yang terdampak langsung erupsi Gunung Semeru yakni SDN Sumberwuluh 2.Kegiatan pembelajaran kebencanaan dan simulasi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuankebencanaan dan pengetahuan simulasi bencana gunung api, serta meminimalisir dampakerupsi Gunung Api Semeru. Metode diakukan dengan 4 tahapan yakni observasi awal,sosialisasi, pelaksanan, dan evaluasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kebencanaandan simulasi bencana perlu rutin dilakukan di sekolah guna memberikan pengetahuankebencanaan sejak dini untuk menghadapi ancaman bencana yang sewaktu waktu dapat terjadi.Dari kegiatan yang dilakukan peserta didik juga mendapatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dalammelakukan langkah-langkah penyelamatan diri bila terjadi bencana gunung api di sekolah. Indonesia is one of the countries prone to volcanic eruptions. One of the volcanic eruptiondisasters that occurred was the Semeru Volcano in 2021 and 2022 in Lumajang Regency. Theimpact of the Semeru Volcano eruption resulted in many casualties. This proves that the lack ofunderstanding of the community in dealing with the threats and risks of volcanic disasters. Thus,the importance of action to minimize the impact of future disasters. The community serviceactivities carried out by the community service team from the State University of Malang in theDecentralized Research and Service Program of the Faculty of Social Sciences are one of thesolutions to increase community capacity in reducing the risk of volcanic disasters. Thecommunity service activities were carried out with disaster learning and volcano disastermitigation simulations carried out in Sumbermujur Village, Lumajang Regency at a school directlyaffected by the eruption of Mount Semeru, namely SDN Sumberwuluh 2. Disaster learningactivities and simulations aim to increase disaster knowledge and knowledge of volcano disastersimulations and minimize the impact of the eruption of the Semeru Volcano. The method is carriedout with four stages: initial observation, socialization, implementation, and evaluation. The resultsshow that disaster learning and disaster simulation need to be routinely carried out in schools toprovide early disaster knowledge to deal with the threat of disasters that can occur at any time.From the activities carried out, students also gain knowledge skills in carrying out self-rescuesteps in the event of a volcano disaster at school.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to enhance local capacity for landslide mitigation in Gunungsari Village, Batu City, addressing limited community awareness and unsustainable land use in landslide-prone terrain. Method: A participatory community-based education approach was implemented in July 2025, involving household visits to 50 residents across five hamlets, distribution of illustrated leaflets, and focus group discussions with hamlet leaders covering landslide triggers, early warning signs, and mitigation measures using locally-adapted visuals and language. Practical Applications: The programme offers a replicable, low-cost disaster education model for landslide-prone rural areas to improve community preparedness and engagement. Conclusion: Results demonstrated increased disaster literacy, confidence, and preparedness among residents, confirming that contextual, participatory education effectively strengthens sustainable rural disaster resilience.

Abstract

Collaboration between Ijen Geopark and school has been identified as a significant driver in advancing sustainable development in Bondowoso. Research conducted aimed to explore how the integration of The Ijen Geopark education program within school contributes to sustainable development in the region. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data collection encompassed observation, interview, and documentation. Key informants included the Ijen Geopark Manger and representative from schools. Findings from the study revealed several outcomes: 1). The implementation of the Ijen Geopark education program, which is comprised some initiatives such as:a).Geopark goes to School, b). Integration of Ijen Geopark subject material, c). Geopark Corner, d). School goes to Geopark, and e) establishment of Ijen Geopark Ambassadors.2). Challenges were identified, particularly regarding partnerships at the high school/vocational school level.3). The impact of the program was delineated, highlighting increased understanding among students regarding the interplay between humans and the environment, heightened awareness regarding the importance of nature conservation career prospects in natural sciences, environmental studies, and nature conservation.  It is hoped that this educational program will be sustainable and have an impact on schools and impactful.
