Abstract

Asupan energi dan aktivitas fisik erat kaitannya dengan status gizi. Apabila asupan energi dikonsumsi tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan dalam jangka waktu lama akan menimbulkan masalah gizi. Selain itu, kurangnya aktivitas fisik dapat menimbulkan permasalahan gizi yang berdampak pada status gizi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan energi dan aktivitas fisik dengan status gizi remaja SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proposional random sampling dengan total sampel 54 siswa. Pengumpulan data asupan energi dengan wawancara menggunakan food recall 4×24 jam, aktivitas fisik dengan form recall aktivitas fisik 7×24jam, sedangkan data status gizi dari hasil pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan secara langsung. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji rank spearman. Hasil: 26% siswa memiliki asupan energi lebih, 50% siswa memiliki aktivitas fisik ringan, dan 27,8% siswa memiliki status gizi lebih. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara asupan energi dengan status gizi (p=0,000), aktivitas fisik dengan status gizi (p=0,000). Energy intake and physical activity are closely related to nutritional status. If energy intake is consumed not according to needs for a long period of time, it will cause nutritional problems. In addition, lack of physical activity can cause nutritional problems that have an impact on nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between energy intake and physical activity with the nutritional status of adolescents at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta. This study design used observational with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used proportional random sampling with a sample size of 54 students. Data collection of energy intake by interview using a 4x24-hour food recall, physical activity with a 7x24-hour physical activity recall form, while nutritional status data from direct measurements of weight and height. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with the Spearman rank test. The results showed that 26% of students had excess energy intake, 50% of students had light physical activity, and 27.8% of students had excess nutritional status. There was a significant relationship between energy intake and nutritional status (p = 0.000), physical activity with nutritional status (p = 0.000). It is recommended that schools cooperate with the local Health Center or Health Service to provide counseling or outreach on the importance of meeting daily energy intake and the importance of doing physical activity to avoid the impact of nutritional problems.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has a significant role in transforming societal patterns in fulfilling food needs, including the emergence of online food delivery applications that are increasingly popular among university students. Various factors influence food choice decisions, one of which is the level of nutritional knowledge that is expected to encourage healthy and balanced eating behavior. The study aimed to determine the relationship between balanced nutrition knowledge and food choices made through online food delivery applications among students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 108 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data on balanced nutrition knowledge and food choices were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the study show that most respondents have a low level of nutrition knowledge (76,9%) and tend choose foods that are not nutritionally balanced (93,5%). No significant relationship is found between balanced nutrition knowledge and food choices made through online food delivery applications (p=0,725). The findings of this study highlight the importance of improving nutrition literacy and developing balanced eating habits so that students not only possess nutritional knowledge but also are able to apply it in making healthy food choices through online food delivery applications

Abstract

This study has two objectives, namely compiling and analyzing vulnerability indexes of business unit, and analyzing key success variables for food and beverage industries after the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis tool used in this study is business vulnerability analysis. The vulnerability analysis is derived from the vulnerability index to the COVID-19 threat, which is collected from all aspect indicator values of MSMEs' vulnerability to the COVID-19 theeat. These values consist of exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. The results of the study explain that food and beverage MSMEs are categorized into medium vulnerability to the threat of COVID-19, where sensitivity is the highest influence aspect as a determinant of the vulnerability level. Due in part to the high number of MSMEs that are sensitive to the threat of COVID-19 and lack the ability to adjust, there may have been a fall in sales and bankruptcy of food and beverage MSMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Beban kerja yang  tidak sesuai dengan kemampuan pekerja menjadi penyebab   timbulnya kelelahan kerja. Kelelahan kerja dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor:  beban kerja yang berat dan asupan yang kurang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara beban kerja dan asupan gizi makro dengan kelelahan ahli gizi rumah sakit di Wilayah Sukoharjo. Desain penelitian ini cross sectional dengan teknik stratified random sampling dari 52 populasi sehingga diperoleh sampel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi sejumlah 34 responden ahli gizi. Data beban kerja diperoleh melalui observasi pencatatan aktivitas. Asupan gizi makro diperoleh melalui recall 24 jam. Data kelelahan kerja diperoleh dengan pengisian kuesioner Industrial Fatigue Research Committee.  Analisis data menggunakan  uji  pearson product moment. Mayoritas ahli  gizi mengalami beban kerja dengan kategori sedang 19 responden (55,8%) dan 23 responden (67, 6%) memiliki skor kelelahan kerja tinggi. Tidak ditemukan hubungan antara beban kerja dan asupan gizi makro dengan kelelahan kerja ahli gizi rumah sakit di Wilayah Sukoharjo, hasil uji statistik untuk beban kerja dengan kelelahan didapatkan nilai p = 0,353. Hasil uji statistik asupan gizi makro dengan kelelahan  didapatkan nilai p 0,090 (energi ); p 0, 084 (protein); p 0,831 ( lemak); p 0,322 (karbohidrat).

Abstract

Background: Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) seperti hipertensi, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), stroke dan jantung saat ini menjadi perhatian besar dunia, dan masih menjadi besar di Indonesia. Prevalensi penderita hipertensi di Desa Tawang sebanyak 20,5% dan prevalensi penderita diabetes mellitus (DM) sebanyak 70,2%. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan sebagai upaya pencegahan secara mandiri melalui peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mendeteksi faktor risiko (FR) PTM dan memberikan edukasi dalam mengurangi risiko-risiko penyakit tidak menular (PTM) melalui peningkatan perilaku hidup yang lebih sehat. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode edukasi kesehatan tentang PTM dan pendampingan kader cara deteksi dini faktor risiko (FR). Hasil: Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang PTM dengan rata-rata sebesar 7,5 poin (11,41%) dengan rata-rata skor sebelum diberikan edukasi 65,75 dan rata-rata skor setelah edukasi 73,25. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan edukasi deteksi dini FR PTM dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader dalam deteksi dini PTM. Kader kesehatan di Desa Tawang merasa senang dan lebih paham tentang cara FR dan cara deteksi dini FR PTM, serta dapat melakukan dengan benar sehingga dapat mengetahui seseorang yang berisiko dan dapat mendukung melakukan pencegahan.

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is the leading cause of death for some women and currently ranks first among cancers that attack women. Not a few adolescent girls aged 14 years and above have been indicated to have breast cancer. This activity aims to provide educational communication and information (KIE) about breast cancer to female students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta. Method: The community service was held at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta, targeting female students. The techniques used are education and socialisation as well as providing direct training to female students about breast cancer and early detection. 36 female students participated in the community service. Results: The results of the community service show that the average pre-test score is 4.972 and the average post-test score is 6.194 with a significance value of 0.00029 (p<0.05). The results of the community service show that there is a significant difference between the average pre-test and post-test results. Conclusion: The community service activities carried out at SMP 8 Muhammadiyah Surakarta succeeded in increasing students' knowledge about breast cancer and the importance of early detection through the breast self-examination method (SADARI).

Abstract

Kebugaran jasmani merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi performa atlet, khususnya dalam olahraga futsal yang menuntut daya tahan dan kecepatan tinggi. Salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam mendukung kebugaran jasmani adalah asupan zat besi (Fe) dan tingkat pengetahuan gizi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara asupan zat besi (Fe) dan pengetahuan gizi dengan tingkat kebugaran jasmani pada anggota UKM Futsal empat universitas di Karesidenan Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 52 orang yang dipilih menggunakan metode convenience sampling. Data asupan Fe dikumpulkan melalui wawancara recall 3x24 jam, data pengetahuan gizi diperoleh melalui kuesioner, dan tingkat kebugaran jasmani diukur menggunakan Beep Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki asupan Fe defisit (55,77%), pengetahuan gizi cukup (15,38%), dan tingkat kebugaran jasmani sangat kurang (36,54%). Uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara asupan Fe dan kebugaran jasmani (p = 0,000; r = 0,603). Uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan gizi dan kebugaran jasmani (p = 0,000; r = 0,585). Semakin baik asupan Fe dan pengetahuan gizi atlet, maka semakin baik pula tingkat kebugaran jasmani yang dimiliki. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar dalam penyusunan program edukasi gizi dan perencanaan pola makan yang tepat bagi atlet futsal untuk meningkatkan performa dan kebugaran jasmani.

Abstract

Stunted refers to a growth disorder that can progress into stunting if not addressed promptly. This condition impacts children's linear growth but can still be improved through appropriate nutritional interventions and proper management support. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the effect of different forms of supplementary feeding based on local food sources on the increase in height of stunted toddlers in Semarang Regency. This research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest two-group approach. A total of 20 stunted toddlers aged 12–59 months were selected through purposive sampling, with 10 subjects assigned to the regular food-based PMT group and 10 subjects to the enteral food-based PMT group. Results: In the regular food-based PMT group, the average height increased from 83.6 cm to 84.4 cm (p = 0.033), while in the enteral PMT group, the average height increased from 81.2 cm to 81.7 cm (p = 0.035). The mean increase in height was 0.8 cm for the regular food-based PMT group and 0.5 cm for the enteral PMT group. The Mann-Whitney U Test showed a p-value of 0.300, indicating no significant difference between the two groups. However, descriptively, the regular food-based PMT group exhibited a higher average increase compared to the enteral PMT group. Supplementary feeding in both regular and enteral food-based forms derived from local food sources was effective in increasing the height of stunted toddlers. However, no significant difference in effectiveness was found between the two forms of PMT within the two-week intervention period.

Abstract

Children under five in underdeveloped nations continue to suffer from nutritional issues brought on by nutritional inadequacies, such as underweight and wasting. The goal of Local Supplementary Feeding (PMT), a type of nutrient-rich food supplementation, is to improve the nutritional status of children between the ages of 6 and 59 months. This study aims to assess how well local supplemental feeding (PMT) programs raise the weight of toddlers who are underweight and wasting. One group was used in this quasi-experimental study's pretest-posttest design. Purposive sampling was used to choose 35 children between the ages of 12 and 59 months, 18 of whom had underweight issues and 17 of whom had wasting issues. Each toddler received a local PMT for 28 days to measure weight gain. The Paired Sample T-Test was used for statistical analysis because the data fit the normal distribution. Local PMT significantly raised body weight in both the underweight group (p = 0.002) and the wasting group (p = 0.005), according to paired sample t-test analysis. However, using an independent sample t-test to compare the effectiveness between the groups with the value of change (Δ) in body weight, the results were p = 0.108 (p > 0.05). This implies that the two groups' weight growth did not differ much. Local PMT administration for 28 days was shown to significantly increase body weight in underweight and wasting toddlers. However, comparative analysis of weight change between groups showed no statistically significant difference (p > 0.05), so the effectiveness of PMT can be considered similar in both nutritional conditions.

Abstract

Kualitas tidur yang buruk pada mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan stres, kecemasan, dan gangguan kesehatan fisik serta mental. Faktor-faktor seperti stres, gaya hidup, nutrisi, dan paparan gadget memengaruhi kualitas tidur. Asupan vitamin B kompleks juga penting untuk menjaga kualitas tidur yang optimal. Selain itu, rendahnya literasi gizi dan kebiasaan makan yang tidak sehat menjadi tantangan bagi pemenuhan gizi seimbang pada mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, pola tidur yang baik, nutrisi yang tepat, dan aktivitas fisik yang cukup sangat penting untuk kesehatan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara asupan vitamin B6 dengan kualitas tidur pada mahasiswa di Sukoharjo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan asupan vitamin B6 pada mahasiswa di Sukoharjo. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari November hingga Desember 2024 dengan melibatkan 190 mahasiswa dari empat perguruan tinggi di Sukoharjo, dengan metode multistage random sampling untuk memastikan representasi sampel yang sesuai. Instrumen penelitian meliputi informed consent, kuesioner PSQI untuk mengevaluasi kualitas tidur, dan formulir SQ-FFQ untuk mengukur asupan vitamin B6. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik variabel secara terpisah, sementara analisis bivariat menguji hubungan antara asupan vitamin B6 dan kualitas tidur menggunakan uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan uji korelasi (Pearson atau Spearman). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara asupan vitamin B6 dan kualitas tidur mahasiswa di Sukoharjo. Sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki asupan vitamin B6 yang tergolong baik, meskipun terdapat variasi dengan kelompok tertentu yang mengonsumsi vitamin B6 di bawah atau melebihi rekomendasi. Namun, kualitas tidur mahasiswa secara umum tergolong buruk, terutama pada mahasiswa perempuan dan mereka yang tinggal di kost. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga digunakan uji Spearman untuk menguji hubungan antara kedua variabel. Dengan p-value sebesar 0,801, tidak ditemukan korelasi yang signifikan antara asupan vitamin B6 dan kualitas tidur. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa faktor-faktor lain, seperti gaya hidup, stres, dan pola makan secara keseluruhan, kemungkinan lebih memengaruhi kualitas tidur mahasiswa. Penting untuk menyoroti perlunya perhatian terhadap kondisi kualitas tidur mahasiswa, mengingat dampaknya pada kesehatan fisik, mental, dan performa akademik mahasiswa.
