Abstract

Creative-innovative thinking is an important competency to be developed in students so that they can be equipped in solving various challenges they face. One of the efforts to increase student competence can be done through the provision of textbooks. The purpose of writing this article is to explain the results of research on creative-innovative aspects which are indicators of competency development in high school electronic school books. The method used is content analysis, namely through excavation and in-depth meaning of various data on creative-innovative aspects in indicators of achievement of Indonesian high school electronic schoolbook competencies. The source of the data in this study was the Indonesian language electronic school book for SMA class X, XI, and XII published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Based on the research that has been done, data is obtained, that in general the development of indicators of competency achievement has been associated with various creative-innovative aspects. However, there are still some creative-innovative aspects that have not been developed optimally, namely expressing creative ideas conceptually and practically, using failure as learning, and adapting and contributing to new situations. Each of these aspects is only 2.5%, 1.0%, and 0.5% of the total competency development indicators in the Indonesian high school electronic school book. The results of this study can be used as a basis for further development of creative-innovative aspects in Indonesian language textbooks.

Abstract

Sundanese language in the Kuningan region. The development of sociolinguistic games is essential because it can increase understanding and awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity among players, especially among children and adolescents, including college students. This game serves as an engaging educational tool for learning sociolinguistic aspects, such as dialect variations and language interactions in a fun and interactive context. In addition, sociolinguistic games support the preservation of local languages and cultures in a modern and accessible way. In this game design research, researchers refer to the MDA (Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics) framework to understand and design the gaming experience. Mechanics refers to the rules and systems of the game, Dynamics describes the player’s interaction with the system, and Aesthetics includes the emotional experience of the player. This framework helps designers create rich and satisfying experiences by considering the interaction of these elements. The game is evaluated using the LORI (Learning Object Review Instrument) instrument to assess its pedagogical qualities, involving assessments from experts and users. The findings point to the need for RPG game designs that support language and ethnolinguistic elements, focusing on code switching and code mixing in the context of Sundanese society. The results of the evaluation show that this game not only contributes to the understanding of sociolinguistic concepts but also fosters a positive attitude towards Indonesian and Sundanese culture.

Abstract

Technology development in the digital era has transformed the world of literature, particularly for digital novels. The comment sections on digital literature provide a platform for direct interaction between authors and readers, which can influence the author's creative process. Therefore, this research aims to examine the author acceptance in responding to readers' feedback on their digital novels and to explore its impact on the creative process of the works produced. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a literary reception approach to understand readers' responses to three digital novels: "BarraKilla" by Nova Adhita, "Paradise Garden" by Khojina, and "Abi Ghea" by Chelsea Karina. Data were collected through documentation techniques and online observations of readers' comments, then it was analyzed using content analysis techniques and was validated through author interviews. The results of this study showed that readers' responses to digital novels are categorized into three aspects: domination, negotiation, and opposition. Dominant reception can support the plot and strengthen the narrative, while negotiation and opposition receptions can be considered in adjusting the story and evaluating it for the author. This study concludes that digital novel authors respond to readers' feedback through domination, negotiation, and opposition, where this interaction influences the story's development and creates a dynamic relationship between the author and the reader.

Abstract

Digital learning transformation has created significant opportunities for developing instructional media that support students’ metacognitive abilities, particularly in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program. This study aims to identify students’ preferences of digital learning media and their impact on learning habits and comprehension gaps. This research employed a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design, involving 123 Indonesian Language Education students from various semesters. Data were collected through quantitative surveys and In-Depth Interviews (IDI) to gain deeper insights. The results revealed that most students preferred digital media (77.24%) over conventional media (22.76%). Visual learning styles dominated (36.59%), with video platforms being the most favoured (32.52%). Correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between the frequency of digital media use and the reduction of comprehension gaps (r = 0.181; p = 0.046), although it was not significant for learning habits. The result of IDI highlights the need for collaborative features, gamification, better journal access, and more relevant support for Indonesian language learning. Data triangulation confirmed that digital media preferences contribute to reducing comprehension gaps, although they do not fully influence learning habits. This study recommends developing interactive and contextual digital learning media by integrating features that support active, collaborative, and based on local culture to strengthen students’ understanding in Indonesian language courses.
