Abstract

OR diabetic) AND (mortality OR severity) AND (COVID-19 OR Coronavirus OR SARS-CoV-2) AND ("adjusted odds ratio" OR "aOR"). Kesimpulannya bahwa diabetes melitus tipe 2 meningkatkan risiko keparahan dan kematian pasien COVID-19.Kata kunci: Diabetes Melitus, Keparahan, Kematian, COVID-19 ABSTRACTCOVID-19 is an acute airway infection caused by Coronavirus (SARS-Cov-2). COVID-19 remains a worldwide threat due to its high morbidity and mortality. The severity and mortality of COVID-19 patients are mainly affected by diabetes mellitus, hypertension, age, and obesity. This study aims to determine the influence of type 2 diabetes mellitus on the severity and mortality of COVID-19. This was a systematic review and meta-analysis. The articles were obtained from PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, ProQuest, and Springer Link. The articles were published from December 2019- August 2020, full-text articles with observational study design, multivariate analysis, and (adjusted odds ratio/aOR). Keywords to search for articles were (Type 2 diabetes mellitus OR diabetic) AND (mortality OR severity) AND (COVID-19 OR Coronavirus OR SARS-CoV-2) AND ("adjusted odds ratio" OR "aOR"). Articles collected using the PRISMA diagram and analyzed using Review Manager application 5.4 with a random effect model. Ten studies were included in the meta-analysis. The results showed that Type 2 DM increased the severity of COVID-19 (aOR = 1.15; 95% CI= 1,11-2,15; p = 0,04) and the mortality of COVID-19 (aOR = 1,65; 95% CI = 1,27-2,16; p 0,001). Conclusion: Type 2 diabetes mellitus increased the severity and mortality of COVID-19.Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Severity, Mortality, COVID-19

Abstract

The main indicator of public health’s degree is infant mortility rate (IMR). One of the main things that cause infant mortility is diarrhea. The existence of diarrhea’s incidence in infants can be caused due to errors in the form of food other than breast milk feeding at the age of 4 months or the practise of infant feeding with formula milk (replacement feeding). This research was an observational analytic research with cross sectional approach. Samples obtained amounted to 80 respondents who are infants aged 2-4 months in various “posyandu” in the area of Central Klaten. This sample had fulfiilled the predetermined criteria. The research instrument used a questionnaire. for the result, there were 21 respondents of 80 respondents obtained who had diarrhea. Respondents of exclusive breastfeeding who had frequency of diarrhea is rarely as many as 5 babies, whereas 1 baby for often category. Respondents of infant formula who had frequency of diarrhea is rarely as many as 12 babies, whereas 3 babies for often category. There were significant differences between infants who were breastfed exclusively with formula-fed infants againts diarrhea frequency indicated by the value of p = 0,032.Keywords: Frequency of Diarrhea, Exclusive Breast Feeding, Formula Feeding Infant, Infants Aged 2-4 Months

One of the problems that cause uncontrolled blood pressure is the less knowledge of hypertension. Patient’s knowledge and awareness in hypertension is the important factor to control the blood pressure. The aim of this study is to know the relation between hypertension knowledge and blood pressure restraint to hypertension patient in the Internist Polyclinic RSUD dr.Moewardi Surakarta. This research used analytic survey method in cross sectional approach. It took 57 sample of hypertension patient. It used purposive sampling technique. This research used Chi Square statistic test. In forty two patients (73,7%) with well-knowledge, 31 patients hypertension (73,8%) have controlled-blood pressure and uncontrolled blood pressure is 11 patients (26,2%). Whereas, in 15 patients (26,3%) who has lack-knowledge found controlled-blood pressure in 6 patients (40%), and uncontrolled blood pressure in 9 patients (60%). There was not found less-knowledge patients. The Chi Square test found signifi cance probability (p)= 0,019. There is relation between hypertension knowledge and controlling blood pressure. Keywords: knowledge, hypertension, controlling blood pressure

Abstract

Background. Infantile colic, defined as paroxysmal, excessive, and consolable crying without an identifiable cause. It is common in the first 3 months of life. There have been many RCT studies conducted. A systematic synthesis is required to summarize the results of these RCTs. This study was aimed to systematically analyze the benefits of Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 for infantile colic. Methods. This systematic review and meta-analysis used keywords: (“infantile colic” OR “abdominal cramps” OR “abdominal cramp” OR “infant colic”) AND “lactobacillus reuteri” AND (placebo OR placebos) AND (“randomized controlled trial” OR RCT). The databases used were: pubmed, science direct, and google scholar. Meta-analysis was conducted to combine the articles. The eligibility criteria were: patient with infantile colic, intervention with L. reuteri DSM 17938, control was placebo, RCT study design, outcome with dichotomous scale, all races, all ethnicities, all countries, all genders, in English, and not limited by year. Results. The search resulted in 800 articles. After reducing duplication, the number of articles was 747. Screening with titles and abstracts resulted in 13 full teks articles. Six articles fitted the eligibility criteria. The results of the meta-analysis were as follows. The forest plot showed that the combined effect of the six articles showed an RR of 0.47 and was statistically significant (p <0.001). Conclusion. Based on the results of this meta-analysis, L. reuteri DSM 17938 is recommended for infants with infantile colic. There were no significant side effects with the use of L. reuteri DSM 17938 on infantile colic.
