Abstract

Reading books is one of the effective learning activities in acquiringscience and knowledge, but nowadays, the students reading interest isgetting lower. This research goals are: (1) describes the portrait of FIPUNY students, related to reading interests. (2) describes the FIP UNYstudents supporting and blocking factors in reading.This research uses the survey quantitative approach. The subjects are FIPUNY students. This research uses a questionnaires, observation, andinterviews for the data collection method, and being analyzed usingdescriptive analysis, tabulation of frequencies and percentages.From this research found: (1) the students reading interests, is generallyincluded in the low category, (2) the most students activities in campus isjust waiting in front of the class, only a small amount of students who usethe free time to read a book or to visit the library. (3)FIP students preferto read a popular, scientific book. They don’t interested in a scientificbook, because of the non attractive layout and design , (4) the studentstime to spent in reading the book is relatively low, less than 1 hour everyday, and in some cases, they never read except for the examinations, (5)the most students blocking factors in reading, comes from the studentitself, that shown in their low reading habits or hobbies.

Anak yang inasil} di tingkat TK-SD pun sudahmeμgenal serta mampu menggunakannya. Namun tak semua program·aplikasi komputer baik dan pas untulc mereka. Abstract

Paradigma teori belajar behavioristik sangat berpengaruh padapengembangan multimedia pembelajaran. Teori belajar behavioristik merupakanteori belajar yang menekankan pada perubahan tingkah laku, dimana perubahantersebut dilahirkan dari proses belajar karena adanya stimulus, respons danpengkondisian. Sementara multimedia pembelajaran merupakan programpembelajaran yang dikembangkan dengan komponen pembelajaran seperti adanyapetunjuk belajar, sajian materi, rangkuman, soal latihan dan umpan balik. Sajianmateri dalam multimedia pembelajaran didesain dengan memperhatikan unsurunsurpesan seperti teks, grafik, warna, animasi dan video. Penggunaan komponenpembelajaran dan unsur-unsur pesan pada multimedia pembelajaran didasarkanpada teori stimulus, respons dan pengkondisian.

Abstract

The emergence of computer software into education and learningsector has to be understood seriously by teachers, parents andeducational staff, including stakeholders. Using the computersoftware improperly basically could give some bad impacts forstudents’ development. On the other hands, computer has acapability to bring such positive impacts for the students’ growth andknowledge. Therefore, teachers, parents and instructionaldevelopment must pay a serious attention to some aspects that couldharm students. The excellent understanding about computerutilization effectively will decrease the negative risk of computersoftware utilization. By designing and developing computer softwareusing the students’ instructional and psychological principles willimprove the understanding, promote intellectual intelligence andeven emotional intelligence (EQ) for students. Computer softwarecould improve and develop values, help solving the problems, teachstudents to be a multiple thinker and solve the problems by findingnew perspectives.

AbstractThe most important thing in learning process is the interaction between teacher and learner. This interaction creates knowledge transfer. Knowledge transfer is created in various modes and methods, and can be achieved through learning media. There are some failures in learning That is caused by obstacles in the interaction between teacher and learner. These obstacles are physiological, psychological, cultural and environmental.One of the solutions of this problem is to use computer as an interactive media. Abstract

This article analyzes various primordialistic conflicts coupled with ethnic and religious sentiments that occurred in the post-New Order Indonesia. It uses secondary data collected from various sources of literature. The analysis uses a cultural study approach that specifically focuses on the theory of essentialism and anti-essentialism concerning ethnicity and identity. Essentialism understands ethnicity and identity as a construct anchoring on a fixed and timeless value, while anti-essentialism understands it as a discursive in nature. By discussing the essentialist vis-à-vis anti-essentialist view in constructing state–religion relations in present day Indonesia, this article tries to reveal the underlying construct of Indonesian identity behind the tensions and conflicts between different ethnic and religious groups. It aims to offer an open construction of Indonesian identity as a strategy to neutralize the tendency of national disintegration from within.

Abstract

Gamelan is one of the most important traditional music instruments of Javanese culture, but it is too expensive for schools to have it. In order to enhance student awareness, sense of belonging and skills on playing Gamelan, this research tried to develop a learning media for Android operating system. By employing research and development (R & D) approach the development process of this research refers to Alessi & Trollip (2001). Adobe flash has been used as a basis of the media development and after several process (planning, design, and development) the learning media is ready to use, because the post-test indicated an increased student score on their understanding and beginner skills on playing Gamelan. At least, this learning media become an alternative way to learn Gamelan traditional music instrument by using Android. Abstrak Gamelan merupakan salah satu instrumen musik tradisional yang paling penting dari budaya Jawa, tetapi terlalu mahal bagi sekolah untuk memilikinya. Untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa, rasa memiliki dan keterampilan bermain Gamelan, penelitian ini mencoba mengembangkan media pembelajaran untuk sistem operasi Android. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) proses pengembangan penelitian ini mengacu pada metode yang dikembangkan oleh Alessi & Trollip (2001). Berikutnya, Adobe Flash telah digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan media dan setelah beberapa proses (perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan) media pembelajaran ini siap untuk digunakan, hal itu karena hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan skor siswa pada pemahaman dan keterampilan mereka sebagai pemain pemula dalam memainkan Gamelan. Setidaknya, media pembelajaran ini menjadi cara alternatif untuk mempelajari alat musik tradisional Gamelan dengan menggunakan Android.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan mendalami: (a) dinamika peran dan fungsi Komite Sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SDN 3 Pancor, (b) peran dan fungsi Komite Sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SDN 3 Pancor, (c) faktor pendukung dan penghambat Komite Sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SDN 3 Pancor, dan (d) bentuk pemberdayaan komite sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SDN 3 Pancor. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan komite sekolah, dan orang tua siswa di SDN 3 Pancor. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Data penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif secara interaktif diantaranya pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dinamika komite sekolah yang terjadi bahwa pemberdayaan komite sekolah di SDN 3 Pancor belum maksimal. Komite sekolah telah menjalankan empat perannya namun tidak berjalan dengan efektif sehingga perlu ditingkatkan. Faktor pendukung peran komite sekolah adalah (a) adanya komitmen yang tinggi dari komite sekolah untuk membantu sekolah; (b) dukungan ide, tenaga, dan fasilitas yang memadai; (c) terjalinnya komunikasi dan koordinasi yang baik; (d) latar belakang pendidikan anggota komite sekolah; dan selama ini uapaya sekolah dalam memberdayakan komite sekolah hanya sebatas diskusi yang sifatnya insidental.Kata kunci: pemberdayaan, komite sekolah, mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

This article aims to build paradigms, strategies, and stages of learning models that can reduce learning barriers. The learning process can benefit changes in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects for the better. This research was conducted because it saw the reality of the problem of low learning achievement. This was qualitative study employed induction approach. The analysis of generic analytic style employed as theory development. This research found an online independent learning model consisting of five stages: preparation, exploration, verification, analysis, and reflection called PEVAR. Techno self online learning PEVAR offers a technology-based self-study alternative. Techno self online learning PEVAR is built based on the paradigm of behaviorism, constructivism, and cognitive. This learning model increases learning achievement, which is marked by increasing students' affective, cognitive, and psychomotor abilities. The strategies used to achieve the goals are commitment, discipline, motivation, confidence, creativity, activity, effectiveness, and efficiency in learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan: (1)program full day school, (2)pembelajaran full day school berdasarkan konsep pendidikan gaya bank Paulo Freire, (3)reaksi siswa terhadap pembel-ajaran full day school berdasarkan konsep pendidikan gaya bank Paulo Freire di SD Muhammadiyah Gunungpring. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis ethnografi. Unit analisis berupa kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas serta kegiatan di luar pembelajaran di SD Muhammadiyah Gunungpring. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa SD Muhammadiyah Gunungpring. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang diguna-kan yaitu model Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1)Program full day school merupakan program sekolah yang berlangsung dari pagi hingga sore hari karena diberi tambahan materi yang sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan sekolah tersebut; (2) terjadi praktik pembelajaran dominatif dalam full day school di SD Muhammadiyah Gunungpring. Praktik dominasi ditunjukkan dalam metode pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru. Guru menetapkan aturan-aturan yang harus dipatuhi siswa yang dapat mendisiplinkan dan menyeragamkan pikiran siswa. Praktik dominatif di sekolah full day memberi dampak siswa lebih menyukai bentuk penilaian yang praktis dan mudah sehingga tidak memiliki pandangan kritis terhadap suatu permasalahan yang ada; (3) pembelajaran full day school menimbulkan berbagai reaksi siswa. Siswa diharapkan tunduk dan patuh terhadap aturan-aturan yang diberikan di sekolah. Namun, pada kenyataannya terdapat berbagai perilaku kritis siswa, sehingga tidak semua siswa patuh dan tunduk terhadap aturan yang telah ditetapkan.Kata kunci: pendidikan gaya bank, dominasi, pembelajaran. A FULL DAY SCHOOL PROGRAM IN MUHAMMADIYAH GUNUNGPRING ELEMENTARY SCHOOLAbstractThe aim of this study is to reveal: (1) full day school program, (2) the learning of full day schooling based on the concept of Paulo Freire’s banking model, (3) the students reaction of the teaching in full day school method  based on the concept of the education model of Paulo Freire Bank in Muhammadiyah Gunungpring Elementary School. This research used the qualitative research with the type of ethno-graphy research. The unit of analysis was the indoor and outdoor learning activities in Muhammadiyah Gunungpring Elementary School. The participants of the study were teachers and students of Muhamma-diyah Gunungpring Elementary School. The data collection was through observation, deep interviews and documentation. The technique used to analyze data consisted of three steps: data condensation, data display, and conclusion. The result of this study is as follows: (1) The full day school program is a school program that runs from morning to evening because it is given additional material that is suitable for the purpose of the school education. (2) There is a dominance in teaching practice in full day schooling at Muhammadiyah Gunungpring Elementary School. It was showed by the teacher-centered learning method. He determined the rules that should be obeyed by the students so that they could be diciplined and made homogenous in thinking. Students preferred a practical and easy assessment so they do not have a critical view of an existing problem. It disciplines the minds of the students. However, there are various critical behaviours of students, and not all students are obedient and subjected to the established rules. (3) The learning reaction in Muhammadiyah Gunungpring Elementary School occured. The students are expected to be obedient to school's rules. Nevertheless, they behaved critically so that not all of them obeyed the school regulation.Keywords: banking model of education concept, dominance, learning
