Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a participatory blended learning model in enhancing knowledge and strengthening partnerships between schools and parents. A quasi-experimental pre-test–post-test group design was employed, involving 60 respondents selected as participants in the intervention. The model was designed to integrate online and face-to-face activities that promote collaborative learning and active parental engagement. The findings reveal that the participatory blended learning model significantly improved parental knowledge and partnership quality, as evidenced by statistically significant gains across five key dimensions: school-parent collaboration, digital-era parenting, positive parenting, healthy family routines, and parental involvement in school programs (p 0.05 for all dimensions). Additionally, improvements were observed in participation in parenting classes, inspiration class initiatives, family habit development, and involvement in school committees or associations. This study contributes to the field by demonstrating how participatory blended learning can serve as an effective strategy to bridge communication and cooperation gaps between schools and families, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the feasibility and practicality of a connecting website as an information medium for parents of VIP Pesawat Junior High School students. The Research and Development (R&D) process followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). A total of 92 parents of VIP Pesawat Wates Junior High School class VII students were selected through Simple Random Sampling. Data collection involved validation questionnaires for media and material experts, and practicality surveys for parents. The data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results show that: (1) The media validation scored 79% on two aspects—design usage and visual communication—indicating the website is feasible as an information medium. (2) The material experts' validation results were 75% for the content/material aspect, 85% for language, 75% for implementation, and 80% for usability, affirming its suitability for use. (3) In terms of practicality, user tests showed a 90% score for usefulness, 77% for ease of use, 86% for ease of learning, and 86% for satisfaction. These scores demonstrate that the connecting website is practical and effective as an information source for parents of students at VIP Pesawat Wates Junior High School

Abstract

This study aims to examine junior high school teachers' perceptions of the Merdeka Teaching Platform (PMM) as an independent learning resource. The research method used is a survey with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and limited interviews. The research subjects were 21 general subject teachers at SMP VIP Pesawat Wates, Kulon Progo. The results showed that most teachers understood the concept and purpose of PMM, but many had not optimally utilized its features. The level of teacher satisfaction with PMM features is high, but there are still some teachers who feel less satisfied. The majority of teachers have used PMM as an independent learning resource, but there are still some who are less independent. Support and facilities provided by schools for PMM utilization are still not fully met. The discussion shows that PMM has not been fully utilized by teachers as an independent learning resource. This is due to several factors, such as teachers' lack of understanding about PMM, lack of support and facilities from the school, and teachers' lack of motivation and awareness to learn independently. In conclusion, PMM has not been fully utilized by junior high school teachers as an independent learning resource. Efforts are needed to improve teachers' understanding of PMM, provide adequate support and facilities, and motivate teachers to learn independently.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a flipped classroom e-learning model based on Moodle to improve learning outcomes in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject for Grade X students at SMK N 1 Praya. The research employed the ADDIE development model, involving stages of analysis (student needs and learning barriers), design (LMS structure, blended strategies), development (digital content, expert validation), implementation (trial in class X Hospitality), and evaluation (formative-summative assessment). The model features pre-class videos, interactive quizzes, e-modules, and online assignments integrated into Moodle. Feasibility was assessed by media, material, and model experts using Likert-scale instruments, scoring 4.0 (feasible) and 4.7 (very feasible). Practicality was evaluated through teacher responses, scoring 4.85 (very practical). Effectiveness was measured via pretest and posttest using the N-Gain formula, showing an average gain of 0.59 (moderate improvement). The model was trialed with 34 students, considering the school's characteristics (vocational focus, limited practice time, and low student engagement). Results indicate that the flipped classroom e-learning model is feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing student outcomes in vocational science learning.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the difficulty of students in Klaten District Gugus IV to understand division material. Through preliminary studies and small-scale research, a learning model that can help students in reasoning to improve thinking skills was found. The model is a brain-based learning model integrated with an active learning approach. Due to the collaboration and implementation of this model and approach, students experienced an increase in the results of mathematical reasoning ability by 28.11. This research was conducted in grade 3 of SDN 1 Mundu with 30 students in each experimental and control class group. Through the independent test, a significance of 0.000 was obtained from the implementation of the brain-based learning model with an active learning approach which states that there is a significant effect on changes in students' mathematical reasoning ability.
