Abstract

Soybeans are rich in protein and very appreciated by the public of Indonesia. However, soybeans decreased productivity and improved through the expansion of planting areas such as shallow swampy wetlands and the use of biofertilizers such as phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB), Azospirillum, mycorrhiza, and bio-organic fertilizer. The results of previous studies have shown that biofertilizer can increase rice productivity in lowland and tidal land. Furthermore, the biofertilizer can assist in providing the uptake of N and P and improve soybean productivity in the lowland area. Field research in shallow swampy areas in Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra Province. Random Group prepared five treatments with five replications. The treatments include biofertilizers, PSB, mycorrhiza, Azospirillum, and BOF. The results showed that the PSB, mycorrhiza, Azospirillum, and BOF can increase N nutrient absorption in a row 201.33%, 182.67%, 170.67%, 161.33%, P nutrients 357.89%, 273.68%, 173,68%, 142,40%, soybean production respectively 228.00%, 208.00%, 201.33%, and 194.67% compared without biofertilizer

Abstract

The farmers in Pangkalan Gelebak Village have the problem of their low agricultural productivity.  The high price of chemical fertilizers causes the ability of the population to purchase fertilizers to be deficient.  As a result, agricultural production is still far from optimal.  In addition, rice straw left alone in rice fields can become a nesting place for pests such as rats, leafhoppers, and others.  Therefore, it is necessary to transfer information on appropriate science and technology, which is environmentally friendly, to overcome the problems of farmers in Pangkalan Gelebak.  One way to overcome this is to provide counseling about the importance of processing rice straw into biofertilizers to increase production, train, guide, and practice techniques for making biofertilizers made from rice straw to increase agricultural production, especially rice, and practicing application techniques for biofertilizer made from rice straw.  Rice straw is the raw material for rice plants for farmers in Pangkalan Gelebak Village.  The method used is to make demonstration plots of rice plants organically, counseling about the importance of processing rice straw into biofertilizers to increase production, carried out from February to June 2018.  The results of using 400 kg/ha + 50 % chemical fertilizers can increase rice production from 3,5 tons/ha to 5,6 tons/ha (60,00% increase) when compared to using chemical fertilizers.

This study aims at evaluating the response of rice (Oryza sativa L.) to the dosage and type of organic fertilizer plus and organic pesticides under the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) in tidal lowlands. This research was implemented at the rice field Desa Tanjung Sari, Kecamatan Tanjung Lago, Kota Terpadu Mandiri  (KTM) Telang, Kabupaten Banyuasin. The research was conducted from December 2010 until March 2011. It employedFactorial Group Randomized Design (RAK) to allow each factor were repeated 3 times for 5 plant samples. Variability analysis indicates that the provision of the dosage of organic fertilizer plus provided significant  effect on plant height, the number of seedlings, the number of productive seedlings, grain per panicle, production, and the percentage of infestation. However, it did not show significant  effect on the percentage of empty grains. The provision of organic pesticides provided significant effect on grain per panicle, production, the percentage of pests, but gave no effect on plant height, the number of seedlings, the number of productive seedlings, and the percentage of empty grains. The combination of powdered organic fertilizer plus of  750 kg / ha and  organic pesticides (animal and vegetable pesticides) gave  the highest production of 2.23 kg/plot or 5.57 ton/ha.
