Abstract

This study aims to analyze how Islamic education policy in Indonesia functions as a social mechanism in shaping and maintaining societal integration amidst modern social change. Based on Émile Durkheim's functionalism theory, this study views Islamic education as an institution that plays a vital role in maintaining moral order, social solidarity, and preventing symptoms of anomie resulting from an imbalance between traditional values and the demands of modernity. The approach used is qualitative with an exploratory-descriptive orientation, with data collection techniques through literature studies of policy documents, institutional reports, and related scientific research results. The analysis is conducted descriptively and analytically to interpret the social function of the policy based on the concepts of social solidarity, division of labor, and anomie. The results show that policies such as madrasah integration, religious moderation programs, and teacher professionalization have a manifest function in expanding access to education, increasing social mobility, strengthening gender equality, and strengthening cohesion between religious communities. However, latent functions are also found in the form of bureaucratization of educational institutions, resource inequality, and value resistance among local communities. These findings confirm that Islamic education policy operates ambivalently: as an integrative instrument that strengthens social solidarity, but also as an arena for value negotiation between tradition and modernity. Therefore, Islamic education policy needs to be directed in a more contextual and participatory manner to optimally function as an agent of inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable social transformation for modern Indonesian society.

Abstract

The quality of education is a crucial issue in human resource development, because the quality of educational services has a direct impact on learning outcomes, the relevance of graduates, and the competitiveness of the nation. However, the implementation of quality management in educational institutions still faces challenges in conceptual, strategic, and practical aspects. This article aims to answer the research question: how are the basic concepts of educational quality understood and implemented in the context of educational management in Indonesia? The method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from scientific articles sourced from Google Scholar and Publish or Perish with the keyword “basic concepts of quality.” Of the 22 articles found in the 2021–2025 range, five articles were selected through a screening and validation process for further analysis. The results of the study show three main themes. First, educational quality is understood as a quality standard that encompasses effectiveness, efficiency, and student satisfaction. Second, quality improvement strategies emphasize the role of Total Quality Management (TQM) and school-based management (SBM) involving all elements of educational institutions. Third, quality implementation is realized through academic management, learning quality, and a continuous monitoring system. The conclusion shows that education quality management is an integrated process, not only focusing on results but also on continuous improvement. Further research is recommended to expand the focus on the integration of digitalization in education quality monitoring.

Abstract

This article discusses Islam's arrival in Palembang and the style of its society. As one of the oldest cities in Indonesia, Palembang in the past was very interesting to study. The existence of Sriwijaya as the most significant maritime kingdom in Southeast Asia and Palembang Darussalam as one of the Islamic sultanates in Indonesia made Palembang one of the centers of great culture and civilization. The arrival of Islam in the city of Palembang is unique. It makes Palembang the Veranda of Medina, proving that the Islam developed in Palembang is good and can be quickly absorbed by the people. The method used is a historical approach, examining sources based on books, papers, journals, and other scientific articles and analyzing them using historical analysis. The results show that Islam in Palembang has a very long history. A new chapter began when Palembang became a sultanate. At this time, each sultan competed to establish Islam in Palembang. The Samaniyah congregation, founded by Shaykh Muhammad bin 'Abd al-Karim al-Samman (d. 1775 AD), was the first congregation that was very popular in Palembang.

Abstract

Religious traditions are closely related to religious teachings and are an integral element of community life, particularly in Kuang Dalam. These traditions not only reflect spiritual expression but also play an important role in strengthening social solidarity and preserving cultural identity. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with ethnographic methods to understand the religious traditions of the Kuang Dalam community in depth, including birth, marriage and death traditions. Data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentation, and analysed interpretively to explore the values, symbols and meanings of these traditions. The results show that religious traditions such as nujuh bulan, nunde keluagh, and marhabah in the birth cycle symbolise gratitude and prayers for the safety of mothers and children. Marriage traditions, including bepandas and cake auctions, emphasise the sacredness of marriage and community solidarity. Death traditions, such as ngurus mayit, reflect respect for the dead and social support for bereaved families. These traditions enrich spiritual life, strengthen social harmony and preserve local identity amidst modernisation

Abstract

Character education at the primary school (SD) level plays an important role in building students' personalities, especially in instilling the value of honesty. In contrast, numeracy is one of the basic skills that students should have to support additional learning. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how effective the integration of honesty cooperative with numeracy learning is as an innovative method to teach character and improve elementary students' numeracy skills. The main problem encountered was the absence of a method that could combine moral values and academic skills simultaneously. This research used a qualitative-descriptive approach and conducted a case study of an elementary school that implemented an honesty cooperative. Data were collected over eight weeks through observation of cooperative activities, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of transactions. The results showed that this model was able to increase student honesty by 85%, where students were more responsible in recording and paying for transactions. In addition, the numeracy test showed an increase in students' numeracy skills by 20-30%. Thus, the numeracy-based honesty cooperative is not only effective in shaping honest character but also in sharpening students' mathematical intelligence. This approach is relevant to be applied more widely in elementary schools.

Abstract

Elementary School (SD) is an important period in the formation of children's character and intellect. Elementary school students' academic achievement is an indicator of the success of the teaching and learning process. The role of parents is fundamental in improving the academic achievement of elementary school students. This article discusses the influence of the role of parents in improving the academic achievement of elementary school students, with a focus on several important points, such as creating a conducive learning environment, building good communication, being a good role model, supporting learning activities, and providing motivation and moral support. to find patterns of parental involvement in the academic achievement of elementary school students. Here, researchers use descriptive qualitative research methods because this research explores whether or not educational assessment standards are in accordance with the independent curriculum at SD Negeri Kalongan 02. From the results of observations and questionnaires parents get children used to having study routines apart from doing homework, such as re-reading material. which has been delivered at school, practice questions and read the next lesson material. The way parents teach their children to study regularly is different in each family. Some parents have a routine study pattern where children get used to doing homework assignments in the afternoon after coming home from school. In the evening, children are accustomed to correcting their work with their parents. Children are also accustomed to reading lesson material for the next day. In other families, children's study routine is used to do homework after school and in the evening they are used to discuss the results of their work with their parents and prepare the next day's lesson schedule.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan komponen vital dalam pembangunan suatu bangsa dan berperan strategis dalam mengembangkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. . Untuk mewujudkan Pendidikan yang berkualitas diperlukan guru yang kompeten. Kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin di sekolah dituntut untuk mampu memberdayakan segala sumberdaya yang dimiliki untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru agar berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran sehingga tujuan Pendidikan dapat tercapai secara optimal.SD Negeri 1 Kalipang yang merupakan penyelenggara Pendidikan pada rapor Pendidikan 2023 mendapatkan predikat kurang pada kemampuan numersi dan kualitas pembelajaran.Untuk itu Peneliti melakukan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui aktivasi komunitas belajar. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan teknik studi dokumen, sasaran dari penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Peran kepemimpinan Kepala sekolah yang efektif di SD Negeri 1 kalipang sangat penting dalam menggerakkan segala sumber daya yang dimiliki sekolah dalam membentuk budaya belajar dan kolaboratif disekolah melaui aktivasi komunitas belajar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dapat dilihat dari beberapa peserta didik yang mendapat juara baik akademik maupun non akademik. Selain itu adanya peningkatan nilai kemampuan numerasi peserta didik sebanyak 35% dan kualitas pembelajaran sebanyak 11,64% pada Rapor Pendidikan 2024

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang implementasi ekonomi keagamaan dalam pengelolaan usaha masyarakat Pekalongan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi bagaimana masyarakat Pekalongan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kegiatan pengelolaan usahanya, faktor-faktor yang mendukung implementasinya, dan dampaknya terhadap perekonomian daerah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi sebagai sumber hasil wawancara yang dilakukan dengan pelaku usaha di Pekalongan, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Pekalongan telah mengimplementasikan ekonomi keagamaan dalam pengelolaan usaha, seperti sistem penggajian, zakat, infaq, sedekah, dan kerjasama dalam kegiatan sosial. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung implementasi ekonomi keagamaan antara lain: keyakinan agama yang kuat, kesadaran akan pentingnya etika bisnis, dan dukungan dari masyarakat. Implementasi ekonomi keagamaan berdampak positif terhadap perekonomian daerah, antara lain: meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This paper explores how personal branding can serve as an asset for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers who want to develop edupreneurship activities on social media. The problem stems from teachers’ need to position themselves professionally while creating economic opportunities through digital educational content and services, yet focused studies on the MI context remain scarce. The aims are to outline practical personal branding strategies for MI teachers, assess their benefits for educational ventures, and identify realistic implementation steps. The method is a literature review drawing on books, articles, and policy reports to synthesize best practices in content creation, reputation management, audience engagement, and service monetization. Key findings include: the necessity of grounding identity in clear pedagogical values and competencies; using social platforms to distribute learning materials and build professional networks; maintaining consistent communication to earn trust from parents and stakeholders; and diversifying offerings—such as digital modules, short online classes, or consulting—as revenue streams. In conclusion, well-planned personal branding rooted in professional ethics offers MI teachers viable paths to become edupreneurs without compromising their educational role, and it calls for targeted training and supportive policies to enable this shift.

Abstract

Purpose - This study examines how globalization affects Islamic religious values and the identity of Islamic education. It aims to identify both the opportunities and challenges brought by globalization in shaping the character and values upheld within Islamic educational institutions. Design/Methodology/Approach - The study employs a qualitative analytical approach by examining the dynamics of globalization technological, economic, cultural, and social and analyzing their implications for the preservation and transformation of Islamic educational values. Findings - The results indicate that globalization provides opportunities for the advancement of science and technology; however, it also poses challenges such as cultural shifts, weakened spirituality, and the rise of materialistic and individualistic lifestyles. The study highlights the importance of reinforcing Islamic core values justice, solidarity, and spirituality—to maintain the identity of Islamic education amid rapid global change. Originality/Value - This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic education by offering a contemporary analysis of how globalization influences religious values and identity. It emphasizes the need for strategic strengthening of Islamic educational identity so that learners can adapt to global developments without abandoning their fundamental religious values.
