Abstract

This research aims to analyse the impact of modifications to the education system at Vocational School Darussalam Banyuwangi through empowering digital media and information skills in the Merdeka Curriculum. The main aim of this research is to analyse how digital media integration affects teaching methods, curriculum, and educational outcomes, as well as assess students' readiness to face future challenges. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers, and students, classroom observations to observe the implementation of digital media in the learning process, and analysis of curriculum documents and teaching materials. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques to identify main patterns and themes from interviews, observations, and documents. The research results show that integrating digital media into the Merdeka Curriculum has improved teaching methods by increasing interactivity and student involvement. In addition, empowering information skills helps students manage and utilize information sources effectively. Although there are challenges to implementation, such as the need for additional training for teachers and technical issues, this research identifies strategies that can overcome these obstacles and increase the effectiveness of the curriculum. This research provides valuable insight into the adaptation of the education system in the digital era and offers recommendations for improving the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in secondary schools.

Abstract

Chitosan is an important biopolymer that is used as a raw material in several industries, but the manufacturing process has the potential to harm the environment. This study aimed to exploit chitosan in mangrove endophytic fungi and to characterize it. The four fungi isolates used were 20BB0501, 20CB07, 20BA04, and 20BA0502. Fungi were obtained from mangrove plants and identified macroscopically and microscopically using the coverslip method. After performing fungal maintenance on MEA media, fungi cultivation was done on rice media for 14 days. A chitosan extract was made by isolating and extracting the chitosan from the fungal biomass. FTIR was used to characterize the isolated chitosan extract. Macroscopic examinations revealed that each of the four strains had a delicate structure and was white. According to the extraction results, the yield of chitosan from the fungal biomass was 7.5%, 16.7%, 1.6%, and 11%, respectively. According to the FTIR data, showed the degree of deacetylation reached 85.02%, 97.78%, 88.7%, and 85.02%. It can be concluded that mangrove endophytic fungi can be used in the manufacture of chitosan, which produces a high degree of deacetylation using a more environmentally friendly process. The results of this study indicate that marine fungal strains can be used as a source of chitosan.  This basis can be developed for the production of bio surfactants, enzymes, and the discovery of new bioactive compounds has pharmacological and biotechnological potential.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various biochar materials and doses of chicken manure on soybean growth and yield. The research method used a 2 factorial Randomized Group Design. The first factor is the treatment of various biochar materials consisting of 4 levels, namely: no treatment, corn cob biochar, jengkol skin biochar, rice husk biochar. Factor II is chicken manure consisting of 0 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha, 10 ton/ha and 15 ton/ha. The results showed that the provision of biochar on the growth and yield of soybean plants had a significant effect on the parameters of stem diameter, number of pods, dry weight of seeds/plant, dry weight of 100 seeds. The provision of jengkol skin biochar gave the highest effect on stem diameter (1.750 cm), number of pods (181.60 pods), dry weight of seeds/plant (45.64 gr), weight of seed/m2 (442,98 g). The application of chicken manure on the growth and yield of soybean plants gives a significant effect on stem diameter, number of pods, dry weight of seeds/plant, dry weight of 100 seeds. The dose of chicken manure 15 tons/ha showed the highest effect on stem diameter, number of pods, dry weight of seeds/plant, dry weight of 100 seeds. The interaction of biochar and chicken manure fertilizer did not give a significant effect on all treatments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Azolla sp liquid organic fertilizer and chicken manure. Tests on shallot plants were carried out to see the effect of organic fertilizer on growth and yield. The research method used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors with 16 combinations and 3 blocks. The first factor is the provision of azola liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels : 0 ml/l water/m2, 200 ml/l water/m2, 400 ml/l water/m2, 600 ml/l water/m2. The second factor is the provision of chicken manure consisting of 4 levels : 0 kg/m2, 0.5 kg/m2, 1.0 kg/m2 and 1.5 kg/m2. Azolla liquid organic fertilizer contains 0.03% total N, 0.11% P2O5, 0.59% K2O, 1.44% organic C, and 3.88% pH. The results of chicken manure analysis contain 1.73% Nitrogen (N), 1.45% Phospor (P), 1.12% Potassium (K), and 18.15% Organic C. Both types of fertilizers do not meet the minimum technical requirements for SNI organic fertilizers. The provision of azola liquid organic fertilizer has a significant effect on the parameters of the number of tillers, number of bulb/m2, wet weight of bulb/m2, and dry weight of bulb/m2. The provision of azola liquid organic fertilizer 600 ml/liter of water/m2 has the best effect on all observation parameters. The provision of chicken manure has a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of shoots, number of bulb/m2, wet weight of bulb/m2, dry weight of bulb/m2. The dose of chicken manure 1.5 kg/m2 showed the best effect for all observation parameters. The interaction of the provision of liquid organic fertilizer azolla and chicken manure was not significantly different in all treatments.

Abstract

Higher education plays a crucial role in fostering young entrepreneurs in Indonesia. The HIEs program has made entrepreneurship its flagship profile to transform the job-seeking culture into a job-creating culture. However, the unemployment rate of graduates continues to rise. Therefore, this study aims to find a solution through the Marketing Entrepreneurial Capability (MECA) model rooted in the Resource-Advantage (R-A) theory. A survey was conducted among 241 entrepreneurial students in Central Java using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Structural equation modeling techniques were employed to test the reliability and validity of the model. The study's results are expected to contribute to addressing the issue of graduate unemployment by enhancing students' entrepreneurial skills. This research presents a policy model that could serve as a foundation for research and policy-making in higher education in Central Java. The model aims to enhance the connection between the role of higher education and the development of young entrepreneurs (start-ups) by emphasizing Marketing Entrepreneurial Capability (MECA) as a crucial factor.
