Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop learning media based on Autoplay Media Studio 8 that is valid, practical and effective. Learning media is very important to use in the learning process, but in reality teachers rarely use learning media. This type of research is research and development using a 4D model (define, design, develop and disseminate). The subjects used were 24 students from class VIII-C and 1 mathematics teacher at SMPN 20 Mataram. The instruments used were learning media based on Autoplay Media Studio 8, questionnaires and post-tests for students. The data analysis technique used is analysis of validity, practicality and effectiveness of learning media. The results of data analysis show that the Autoplay Media Studio 8-based learning media that was developed obtained an average score for media validation of 0.85, material validation of 0.81, and practicality questionnaire validation of 0.84 with very valid criteria. The practicality of the product received a score of 91% with very practical criteria. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the product through the post-test received an effectiveness score of 87.5% with very effective criteria. So it can be concluded that the development of learning media based on Autoplay Media Studio 8 is valid, practical and effective for use in the learning process. Keywords: Development Research, Autoplay Media Studio 8 Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Autoplay Media Studio 8 yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Media pembelajaran sangat penting digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran namun pada kenyataanya guru jarang menggunakan media pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) menggunakan model 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Subjek yang digunakan yaitu 24 orang siswa kelas VIII-C dan 1 orang guru matematika SMPN 20 Mataram. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa media pembelajaran berbasis Autoplay Media Studio 8, angket serta post-test untuk siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis validitas, kepraktisan dan efektifitas media pembelajaran. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan media pembelajaran berbasis Autoplay Media Studio 8 yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor rata-rata validasi media 0,85, validasi materi 0,81, dan validasi angket kepraktisan 0,84 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Kepraktisan produk mendapatkan skor 91% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Sedangkan keefektifan produk melalui post-test mendapatkan skor keefektifan 87,5% dengan kriteria sangat efektif. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Autoplay Media Studio 8 valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Abstract

Hasil wawancara yang dilakukan dengan guru-guru matematika SMP di Kota Mataram menununjukan bahwa guru memerlukan media pembelajaran untuk membantu visualisasi objek-objek dalam materi pelajaran seperti garis-garis yang berpotongan dan perpotongan garis dengan sumbu koordinat. Geogebra dalam hal ini dapat digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan objek-objek tersebut dengan baik. Untuk membantu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan Geogebra, dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan bagi 40 guru matematika SMP di Kota Mataram. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentu pemaparan materi, demonstrasi, praktek terbimbing dan praktek mandiri. Hasil praktek mandiri menunjukan seluruh peserta mampu membuat applet Geogebra sederhana terkait materi yang diajarkan guru yang bersangkutan di kelas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta mendapatkan tambahan pengetahuan maupun keterampilan tentang pembuatan applet Geogebra.

Abstract

Guru matematika di NTB masih mengalami kesulitan membuat media pembelajaran berbasis digital untuk membantu visualisasi objek-objek geometri. Melalui wawancara yang dilakukan dengan salah seorang guru matematika SMP di Kota Mataram diperoleh hasil bahwa guru juga masih mengalami kesulitan untuk membuat media pembelajaran untuk memvisualisasikan materi-materi abstrak seperti kurva dan bangun ruang pada tingkat SMP. Media pembelajaran yang mempermudah visualisasi objek geometri seperti Geogebra masih minim digunakan di kalangan guru-guru matematika pada pembelajaran di kelas di Kota Mataram. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pelatihan penggunaan Geogebra sebagai media pembelajaran di SMP. Pelatihan dihadiri oleh 40 guru matematika yang mengajar di SMP negeri, swasta dan madrasah tsanawiyah. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga jenis, yakni pemberian materi, praktek terbimbing dan penugasan secara mandiri. Materi yang disampaikan diantaranya 1) pengenalan tools dalam Geogebra, 2) membuat Applet Geogebra untuk materi Fungsi Kuadrat Kelas IX SMP, 3) simulasi pengaplikasian applet Geogebra dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Seluruh peserta merasa bahwa materi dapat dipahami dengan baik, praktek terbimbing dapat dilakukan dengan lancar dan peserta juga merasa kegiatan ini relevan dengan kebutuhan guru.

Abstract

Problem solving in mathematics is a basic and fundamental ability that a person must master. However, previous research shows that students' problem solving abilities still tend to be in the medium and low categories. Many factors can cause students' low problem solving abilities, including number sense ability. The aim of this research is to describe linear programming problem solving for mathematics education students with high number sense abilities. This research is a descriptive qualitative research involving 36 third year Mathematics Education Study Program students who have taken linear programming courses. The instruments used were number sense ability test questions, problem solving test questions, and interview guidelines. The results of this research obtained information that there were 6 students with high number sense abilities, all of whom only reached the medium category in problem solving. In general, students in this category do not write complete information regarding the constraints of linear programming problems at the information gathering stage. In addition, students also do not carry out the re-checking stage of solving the problem because they feel confident with the answer given. However, this solution is not correct

Abstract

This research aims to describe epistemological obstacles based on errors in solving mathematics problems related to triangle material for class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mataram. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection methods including diagnostic tests and questionnaires. The sample was selected from class VII-4 of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram where the sample search method was carried out using tests. Determination of the sample using a purposive sampling technique. The sample selected was six students based on the results of tests and grouped into three groups with each group consisting of 2 students in the high, medium, and low error category and then given a questionnaire. The results of the research show that the types of epistemological obstacles experienced by students are conceptual epistemological obstacles with a percentage of 56.99%, procedural epistemological obstacles with a percentage of 95.70%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles with a percentage of 79.57%. For students with a high error category, the percentage of conceptual epistemological obstacles is 100%, procedural epistemological obstacles are 100%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles are 100%. Meanwhile, for students with the moderate error category, the percentage of conceptual epistemological obstacles was 66.67%, procedural epistemological obstacles were 100%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles were 89.86%. Finally, for students in the low error category, the percentage of conceptual epistemological obstacles was 5.56%, procedural epistemological obstacles were 72.22%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles were 33.33%.

Abstract

The non-linear mathematical model of the break even point (BEP) problem is difficult to solve analytically to obtain an exact solution, so the alternative is to solve it numerically. This research aims to solve the BEP problem and measure the effectiveness of Brent's method compared to other solution methods based on error and number of iterations. This research is an applied type whose implementation procedures include preparation, implementation, program testing, program revision, analysis, and conclusion. The errors of Brent’s, secant, false position, and bisection methods in solving the BEP problem are 0.00118; 0.00893; 0.64485; and 0.89119, respectively. While the number of iterations from several checks are 52, 53, 91, and 101, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Brent’s method is more effective than the other three methods.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze student errors in solving word problems in terms of learning attitudes in class VII students at SMPN 15 Mataram in the 2023/2024 academic year using the Newman procedure. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The sample used was 30 people from class VII-B with the sampling technique used was purposive sampling with data collection techniques carried out by tests, questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that students with a high learning attitude, with a total of 3 students, made 11.11% errors in Comprehension Errors, 22.22% transformation errors, 27.78% process skill errors, and 61.11% encoding errors. . Students with moderate learning attitudes, numbering 23 students, made errors in reading errors as much as 15.21%, Comprehension Errors as much as 31.88%, transformation errors as much as 44.92%, process skill errors as much as 62.31%, and encoding errors as much as 57.98%. Students with low learning attitudes, with a total of 4 students, made errors in reading errors as much as 25%, Comprehension Errors as much as 29.16%, transformation errors as much as 50%, process skill errors as much as 62.5%, and encoding errors as much as 100%. The causes of students making mistakes are weak understanding of concepts, limited ability to read and understand questions, lack of problem solving strategies, lack of practice and experience, and lack of self-confidence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the Game Based Learning model using the Quizizz application influences the interests and learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMPN 3 Jonggat in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of the Manova analysis obtained a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05, which means that H1 is accepted or there is a difference in the average interest and mathematics learning outcomes of students in the experimental class who use the game based learning model with the Quizizz application and the control class who use the conventional model. The results of the t test show a significance value of 0.006 < 0.05, which means that H1 is accepted or there is a difference in the average learning interest of the experimental class and the control class with the average value of the experimental class being 72.25, which is higher than the control class, namely 70.65. Likewise, there is a difference in the average mathematics learning outcomes of experimental class students, which is higher than that of the control class, with the average score of the experimental class being 85.01, which is higher than the control class, namely 71.35. Because there is a difference between the average of the experimental class and the control class and the average score of the experimental class is superior to the control class, there is an influence of the use of the game based learning model using the Quizizz application on the interest and learning outcomes in mathematics for class VIII students at SMPN 3 JONGGAT for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning (PBL) dengan konteks budaya Sasambo terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental design dengan posttest-only control design. Populasi penelitian siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram, sampel penelitian kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIIIA sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes tertulis dalam bentuk soal uraian.  teknik analisis data berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Pada pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t dan uji effect size menggunakan rumus Cohen’s. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian: 1) hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, 2) hasil uji effect size diperoleh  yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, 3) rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen  dan kontrol , artinya rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nilai kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh problem based learning (PBL) dengan konteks budaya Sasambo terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari karakteristik cara berpikir siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Lingsar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket, tes uraian dan pedoman wawancara. Dari 3 kelas yang terdiri dari 91 siswa yang diberikan angket karakteristik cara berpikir dipilih 1 kelas dengan banyak siswa 31 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian yaitu kelas VIII 3 dengan pertimbangan karakteristik cara berpikir siswa dikelas tersebut merata. Di kelas tersebut terdapat 14 siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe sekuensial konkret (SK), 4 siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe sekuensial abstrak (SA), 6 siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe acak abstrak (AA), dan 7 siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe acak konkret (AK). Kemudian siswa pada kelas VIII 3 diberikan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada materi teorema Pythagoras, kemudian dipilih 8 subjek penelitian untuk dilakukan wawancara untuk memperdalam data yang terdiri dari 2 siswa pada masing-masing karakteristik cara berpikir dan dipilih melalui purposive sampling untuk. Indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu indikator menulis, menggambar dan ekspresi matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe SK sudah memenuhi indikator menulis, menggambar dan ekspresi matematika. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe SA belum memenuhi indikator menulis, menggambar, ekspresi matematika. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe AA sudah memenuhi indikator menulis dan menggambar namun masih kurang dalam indikator eskpresi matematika. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan karakteristik cara berpikir tipe AK sudah memenuhi indikator menulis, namun masih kurang dalam indikator menggambar dan ekspresi matematika. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih rendah.
