Abstract

This study aims to design a transformational leadership model for principals that can strengthen students' religious character at the Junior High School (SMP) level. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, this study analyzes the need to improve the leadership skills of principals in educating students' religious character. The subjects of the study consisted of five principals and ten teachers from junior high schools in Pemalang Regency, selected using a purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and questionnaires to identify the challenges faced by principals in implementing transformational leadership. It is hoped that the results of this study will provide recommendations that can improve the effectiveness of leadership based on strengthening students' religious character. The findings of the study revealed that the biggest challenges faced were the lack of training that focused on religious values ​​and the need for a more structured and practical leadership model.

Abstract

The moral and spiritual leadership model plays a strategic role in shaping the religious character of students at MTs Nurul Hidayah Majalangu, Watukumpul, Pemalang. Initial conditions indicate weak implementation of religious programs and low student awareness of worship practices, reflecting the suboptimal effectiveness of the conventional leadership style still in use. Through a qualitative approach based on literature review, it was found that values such as role modeling, responsibility, honesty, and the integration of religious values into policies and learning processes can have a positive impact on students' religious character. The success of this model is strongly influenced by the active involvement of teachers, parental participation, community support, as well as continuous supervision and evaluation. The systematic and collaborative application of moral and spiritual leadership is recommended as an effective strategy for strengthening religious character education in the madrasah environment. Abstract

This study investigates the development and implementation of the Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) module based on a learning community, aimed at enhancing the pedagogical competencies of teachers in public elementary. The research is structured around three primary questions: (1) What are the needs analysis results for the P5 project module based on a learning community? (2) How is the design for implementing the P5 project module structured? and (3) What is the process of developing the P5 project module to improve the pedagogical competencies of teachers? A limited trial was conducted involving 20 teachers from the Ki Hajar Dewantara cluster, employing qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The findings reveal that the module's structure is coherent and user-friendly, effectively integrating local wisdom through narratives about Ki Gede Sebayu and Ki Ageng Anggawana. Teachers generally responded positively to the module's content, recognizing its relevance to Pancasila values, though they suggested the inclusion of more diverse and interactive activities to foster student engagement. Observational data indicated that students exhibited increased participation in project-based learning initiatives, although some teachers noted difficulties in maintaining students' focus during activities. The overall evaluation indicated that the module is effective in supporting teacher competency development, with an average score of 81.71% for the module's structure and 82.8% for the content, categorizing them as "Very Good."

Abstract

Young children are highly sensitive to their surroundings and tend to imitate the behavior of the adults around them. Therefore, education and the habit of clean and healthy living from an early age are very important in forming positive habits and preventing disease in the future. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Mokoau Community Health Center through counseling students on how to live healthily to prevent intestinal worms, diarrhea, and infectious diseases at school and at home, with the help of leaflets. The results of this activity showed an increase in students' knowledge about the prevention of intestinal worms, diarrhea, respiratory infections, and measles. They understood that intestinal worms can be transmitted through dirty soil or food and the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, such as washing hands and wearing footwear. This improvement was evident during the discussion session, when students were able to answer questions correctly and explain how to prevent these diseases. In addition, students were also able to practice proper hand washing and apply coughing and sneezing etiquette.

Abstract

Implementasi pembelajaran IPAS di tingkat Sekolah Dasar, khususnya di wilayah Sasaran Pengawasan 2 Kecamatan Pemalang, menghadapi tantangan empiris berupa disparitas infrastruktur, kesenjangan kompetensi digital guru dalam merancang aktivitas Discovery Learning, dan kurangnya media yang kontekstual dan interaktif. Merespons permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan media blog interaktif berbasis model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan melibatkan validasi oleh ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli materi, dan ahli media. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket validasi skala Likert, sedangkan media pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan platform blog interaktif. Analisis validitas data dilakukan menggunakan rumus Aiken’s V untuk menentukan tingkat validitas isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media blog interaktif yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas yang sangat tinggi, dengan nilai rata-rata penilaian ahli berada di atas 4,30 dan nilai Aiken’s V pada rentang 0,80–0,86, sehingga dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan. Media ini dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPAS sekolah dasar untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, baik dalam pembelajaran tatap muka, daring, maupun blended learning, serta sebagai rujukan pengembangan media pembelajaran digital interaktif. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi model Discovery Learning dengan blog interaktif sebagai media utama pembelajaran IPAS sekolah dasar yang divalidasi secara komprehensif dari aspek pedagogis, materi, dan media, sehingga memberikan kontribusi baru terhadap pengembangan media pembelajaran digital yang kontekstual dan bermakna.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in improving the quality of human resources and international competitiveness. Indonesia and China are two countries on the path to becoming developed nations with distinct educational systems, particularly in terms of governance and policy. This study aims to analyze the comparative transformation of Indonesia and China's education systems, emphasizing policy mechanisms, governance structures, and their implications for educational reform. This study employs a qualitative approach with a comparative study design through educational policy analysis. Data were obtained from national policy documents, international organization reports, and articles from reputable international and national journals. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative content analysis and cross-case comparative analysis. The results show that Indonesia's education system tends to be decentralized with implementation flexibility at the regional level, while China's system is more centralized with strong central government control and support from a data-driven evaluation system. These differences have implications for the effectiveness of policy implementation, the consistency of educational quality, and accountability mechanisms. This study contributes to the development of comparative education studies by offering a systems-based and policy-based analysis, as well as providing strategic recommendations for educational reform in Indonesia.

Abstract

Analisis kebutuhan model pembelajaran IPA berbasis SIM hybrid untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di sekolah masih menghadapi tantangan pada inovasi dalam metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan model pembelajaran IPA berbasis Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) Hybrid yang mengintegrasikan teknologi digital dengan metode pembelajaran interaktif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, melibatkan 96 peserta didik dan tiga guru IPA di SMP Negeri 2 Kersana. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, angket, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta didik dan guru mendukung penerapan SIM Hybrid karena meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman dalam belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik untuk kualitatif dan statistik deskriptif untuk kuantitatif. Namun, kendala seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan kurangnya pelatihan guru masih menjadi tantangan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa SIM Hybrid sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran IPA jika didukung oleh kesiapan sumber daya dan pelatihan yang memadai.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a principal supervision model using a Canva-based BAGJA Coaching approach to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers in Pemalang Regency. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, consisting of the Define, Design, and Develop stages, with the development process limited to the Develop stage due to research scope and time constraints. The research was conducted in several primary schools within the KWK Ulujami area, Pemalang Regency, selected through purposive sampling based on school readiness and the need for academic supervision implementation. The research population consisted of 70 primary school teachers, with 56 teachers and several school principals involved as research subjects, while the research object was the Canva-assisted BAGJA Coaching-based principal supervision model. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation of supervision implementation, expert validation, and user response questionnaires. The research instruments included interview guidelines, observation sheets, expert validation sheets from material, media, and supervision experts, and practicality and effectiveness questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using a mixed-methods approach, with qualitative data analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique and quantitative data analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the developed supervision model was highly feasible in terms of content validity, media design, and applicability. Limited trials indicated increased teacher activeness in reflective practices and more participatory supervision processes. The study concludes that the Canva-assisted BAGJA Coaching-based principal supervision model has strong potential as an alternative supervision strategy that meets the demands of education in the digital era and effectively enhances elementary school teachers’ professional competence.

Abstract

Keberhasilan program pendidikan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi profesionalisme personel pengajar. Tanpa personel yang cakap dan efektif, program pendidikan tidak dapat berhasil. Penelitian ini mencoba mendeskripsikan dan mengalisis perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pengembangan tenaga pengajar tetap UPS. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh dosen UPS. Sampel Penelitian ditentukan dengan sampling purposif, dilanjutkan “Snow Ballâ€. Disimpulkan bahwa UPS sudah memiliki dasar-dasar dan kebijakan perencanaan pengembangan tenaga pengajar tetap, tetapi belum dilaksanakan secara optimal, agar efektif perlu ditinjau secara periodic.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang dihadapi dunia pendidikan kita adalah lemahnya moralitias yang dimiliki guru. Karakter, nilai dan moral yang tinggi (sense of morality) yang dimiliki guru akan dijadikan suluh dan menara bagi tumbuh kembangnya masa depan anak didik. Dengan moral yang luhur guru cenderung mendidik dengan mata hati kejujuran, keadilan, persamaan hak, bermoral dan berakhlak tinggi. Guru sebagaiujung tombak proses kemanusiaan dan pemanusiaan telah diterima sepanjang sejarah pendidikan formal. Agenda kerja, wajah kegiatan dan fungsi yang ditampilkan oleh guru tidak berubah, yaitu menyelenggarakan pendidikan dan pengajaran dikelas, Mereka menjadi ujung sekaligus pengarah tombak proses kemanusiaan dan pemanusiaan jalur pendidikan formal.
